Iced latte = all milk. Came here on a busy weekend and say so many people were nabbing a kick of caffeine. It was hot so of course I go for something iced. Oh boy...the espresso had literally no flavor. The milk overpowered everything and I just couldn't drink it without thinking about anyone who may have the smallest sensitivity to lactose tolerating the beverage. The milk didn't even taste good either! I had to immediately toss it. I should have asked to have it remade but it took the baristas already over 10 minutes to make the thing so I cut my losses. Service was very good and the lady greeting me at the window was super kind. When I got my matcha it was loaded with ice and barely any of the drink. As it was decent, the overpowering almond sweetener ruined it for me. The place is super appealing as it is a tiny little shack. Overall decent but I wouldn't run to it. read more

This is normally my go to coffee spot in LBI! This year we rented a house less than a 15 minute walk to Bay Village so getting there was really easy. I was walking around Bay Village on 5-17-23 and it was a beautiful day but not many stores were open. I went into all of the open stores. This coffee shop was one of them and I figured I'd check it out even though I didn't want a coffee. I walked in, looked at what they had for sale, browsed around, and looked at the menu. It looked like they had some nice coffee beans and a good menu. There were no other customers in the store and some employees behind the counter. No one said anything to me, not even hi. Maybe if they had, I would have bought a bag of coffee to take home to make or something else, who knows. I'll say it again, if you own or work at a store and you want to sell more things, and I assume that all store owners want to sell more things in order to make more money, or they wouldn't be in business; then you have to be friendly to potential customers. At the very least say hi to people when they walk into your business. It's a short word, easy to say, and hardly takes any effort! It goes a long way to making people feel comfortable so they want to stay and make a purchase. If you add a few more sentences to the hi, you greatly increase your chances of making a sale. For example, "Hi. How are you? I'm Linda, the owner. Have you ever been here before? No, well let me tell you a little bit about the store and our coffee." Tell them some more about your different coffee and whatever else is unique about your store. Then say, "Please feel free to browse around and let me know if you have any questions." That wasn't hard, was it? The customer that you say that to or something similar is much more likely to buy something from you. It makes them feel comfortable and welcomed and then they'll be more likely to want to spend money on your merchandise. Try it. As for this coffee shop, it may be awesome, I don't know. I'll probably never go back because I didn't feel welcome the first time I went there so I left. read more

My daughter is highly allergic to dairy. She explained to server and they made sure to wash blending bottle. However, the server obviously didn't know that "dairy whey" is milk-dairy. Consequently, my daughter got very sick. I equally blame my daughter for not asking to read the ingredients. I called for ingredients and the server was very apologetic and provided them. It appears that ownership does not label the products for allergies and / or trains the staff for this type of situation. read more

There is one place that I look forward to every year when on vacation at LBI - it is the Coffee Bouteaque! Not being a coffee drinker, I opt for the ice teas. They have many choices and you can get them sweetened or unsweetened. Another favorite of mine is the iced Chai. In my opinion, this is the best iced Chai I have gotten! Went in this afternoon. Had a lovely latte and was very impressed by the maturity experienced by a girl working behind the counter who was getting berated by a woman over what was apparently an icy smoothie. The girl, who couldn't have been more than 20 years old, spoke calmly, apologized, offered a refund or a replacement. When the woman wouldn't stop yelling the girl offered her boss's contact information for the woman. The woman left still incredibly displeased (over a smoothie), but the young employee handled things wonderfully. read more

went in for a smoothie, and i got a juice instead. it was literally so watery that i thought i had accidentally ordered a juice but no, that's just how the smoothies are. was drinking it and it just became more and more watery by the second. massive ice cubes were in the bottom. for nearly $9 do not waste your money and do not get a smoothie from here. also it was so crowded they need to do something about their waiting system. read more

I had a negative experience with my order from here. I got a Matcha Latte. First of all, anyone could've taken my drink because it was sitting outside on a table waiting for me to pick it up for who knows how long. Someone could have put something in it for all I know! Also, the matcha was all clumpy and piecey in my drink. I had to shake it about a million times until it was ok to drink. They really need to use a blender in order to get matcha to be fully dissolved- please start doing this. It also mentioned on the website that it was sweetened. It wasn't at all. I had to add 4 splendas - of which the man inside wasn't wearing gloves. I won't be returning unless I get some sort of reimbursement or know they will be fixing their products! Cute little coffee and tea shop with some quirky gifts thrown in for good measure. My group of college girls swung by last weekend during a mini getaway to LBI. It was great seeing so many stores still open in the off-season. Desperate for a coffee, I was grateful to come across this shop. My pumpkin latte was just okay. Other than the sprinking of cinnamon on top, I didn't really taste much that reminded me of pumpkin. I'd probably go with something a little more basic if I had a do-over. Highly recommend this coffee and juice bar. I tried a different coffee shop every morning on my walks through beach haven. This was about 1.5mi from my rental on Maryland ave and it was well worth the walk. The place is very cute with seating both inside and outside. We had 2 frappaccinos: the almond joy ( had mine made with almond milk) was the best and mocha chica, also very good! My daughter had a green goddess smoothie that was also very good. No doubt, the best coffee on LBI! Fresh roasted beans from all over the world. Pourover offered too, as well as iced coffee and your fleet of espresso drinks. It's clear the owner, Nick, really cares about the quality of his coffee and customer service. Plus, he's just a damn nice guy. This is just what your looking for. They have great granola and yogurt with berries. Their juices are an awesome boost. Kids had the Frutti Tutti and I had the Morning sunshine that had beets carrots ginger. With all the fried food on the island this is a great break. Odd & tasteless espresso: I ordered a double espresso, which took between 10 and 15 mins to make - I think they forgot the order briefly. In any case, what I got was the volume of a half a cup of regular coffee and was pretty tasteless - unsurprising in a way given the crazy excess quantity of water in a double shot. This would typically be served in a small espresso cup but I got a regular paper coffee cup that was filled half way - quite odd. Anyway, it was so tasteless I poured it out and left. I ended up getting a yogurt delight, which was a bowl of Greek yogurt with raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, some nuts, and agave nectar. I was so excited for this place and their menu, but it turned out to be a bit of a mess. I ordered a chunky monkey smoothie for my toddler. It was pretty watered down and didn't have much flavor. I tasted zero banana. I ordered the waffle and they didn't have almonds. Then after 15 minutes of waiting. They told me the waffle maker didn't work. Also had problems with their nitro machine.
