Porkroll and cheese on a pretzel roll with home fries
    Sean B.

Scojo's is a wonderful little spot. It's nice to see them open in November. For this visit I had a porkroll and cheese on a pretzel roll with home fries. I have to say their home fries are really great. A little char, not horribly greasy, and a solid onion flavor. Wonderful! As for the sandwich, it was good. The roll was decent but not super fresh. I also like salt on my pretzel rolls but not many places do that. Porkroll was lightly browned and cheese was melted, can't really ask for more. Service was good and as a plus they have lacas coffee, love me some diner coffee! A great off-season spot!

Went out to LBI for the week and made sure we go by our favorite restaurant for breakfast and as usual did not disappoint. Once again was completely satisfied

I was so grateful to be treated so well by the host and the weight staff. The food was absolutely delicious. I felt the family vibe and also an incredibly high level of excellence.

Had breakfast here with the family. I had forgotten to ask for my corned beef hash to be crispy, but they got it right anyway. It is good that they added onto their menu the hashbrowns that you see. Had to have it all with Ryebread and the couple of eggs that were runny. Service was very good. Very attentive. I have not been to this place in probably three or four years. I seem to recall there being a fire and the inside seems like it was recently refreshed. Nice atmosphere. A couple of things that they could tweak. The sugar that they have on the table have been the raw sugar. It seems that they should give that they also have a bunch of coffee drinks that are a notch higher. Please note that they charge 3% for using a credit card. I do think that they are on the high side for prices. But again, everything else was pretty good. I'll be back.

No line, friendly staff, ridiculous cinnamon French toast and fresh squeezed oj. We were seated at the bar, the waitress was a delight and the rest of the staff, amazing.

Scojo's has become one of my go to spots in LBI. Cute diner vibes with a modern spin. I love how bright this restaurant is and even though it is a bit loud, I like the lively breakfast/brunch atmosphere. They have a large menu, definitely something for everyone. I'm partial to the pancakes. So fluffy and delicious. Be prepared to wait during the summer especially on the weekends. Off season it's a lot easier to get a table of course. This is a great place to start your day down the shore.

Scojos, where brunch is a foodie's paradise but watch out for the "Express Exit" server! As soon as I entered I noticed how airy , bright, cheery, and cleaner than my grandma's approval checklist the establishment was ( always a PLUS). The eggs Benedict and French toast are practically celestial , and my boyfriend's veggie omelette and turkey bacon were cooked JUST RIGHT without sacrificing taste- all of that plus , affordable ingredients that don't break the bank - brunch jackpot ! Now, let's talk about the server, who must have a personal vendetta against chill vibes or had somewhere to be ? This person approached our table like they had a brunch stopwatch hidden somewhere. Zero sense of humor, and their mission was clear: eat, pay, evacuate Feeling rushed at a brunch spot is like finding out your favorite brunch spot serves decaf coffee - a major buzzkill. Scojos, your food is brunchalicious, but next time, let us enjoy it at our own pace. If I wanted a sprint, I'd sign up for a 5K, not brunch. 4/5 - deducted a point for the brunch police on duty! Aside from that I highly recommend this delightful spot on the island !

Meh. It's an expensive diner, 2 people, 2 coffees and 2 mediocre breakfast 48$. It was really crowded for a Thursday morning and as soon as we sat down a waiter came over and said "you know what you ordering?" And I said no we need a minute, then another waitress came to the table before I could open the menu asking the exact same thing. Service just wasn't great, no one checked in, asked if we needed anything, etc. They seemed overwhelmed by the amount of people in the space as it was cramped, loud and messy. The inside is cute, very crisp looking but it was over run with flies. Once placing our order it came out pretty fast, but the food was lukewarm. The waiter brought out a tray stacked to high heaven with numerous tables orders on it. My toast was soggy and my food wasn't hot. I think the only reason it's popular or busy is because of its location. Do yourself a favor and go further into the island and find better food. This was super generic and not great, not worth the money. From a local who it took 8 years to try this place, just not worth it.

Thankfully, we went on an afternoon in the winter month because I'm sure this place in the summer is jampacked. The service was friendly and quick. The place looks very clean and beachy. I had two eggs and style, which was a great size portion. My husband had beef chips with cheese. We've never heard of this meal before, but he actually really liked it. We would definitely go back here again.

This place is just the cutest, chillest morning vibes you could ever want on your beach vacation!…read more I was thrilled that this place was walking distance from our bungalow rental, and took a quiet morning walk to order for my hubby and son. This is a great place to bring your family (babies and toddlers too!) and friends to sit and chill before beginning your day at the beach. Their menu has a lot of specialty items, and some even have a Spanish flare to them, which I think is so flavorful and fun to spice up your breakfast! I ordered our food to go, but decided on the breakfast platter for my son, a bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese or hubby, and I got the bueno burrito. As I waited, I was pretty amazed as to how much food they were cranking out of their little kitchen! I saw the multiple called in orders they were working on, and realized that calling in was probably better than walking in, but now I knew better. The staff was super friendly and bubbly, and the girl behind the counter was patient as I was totally spastic looking for the milk for my coffee. Why I would come back here with my 2.5 year old son: - they have a stash of crayons and other activities to keep your children entertained while eating; this is appreciated - they make their cookies on site and they are SINFUL; one is not enough - fair warning - the tables are spaced enough that if your child is a wanderer like mine, they have enough room to be curious without getting into too much trouble - the vibe is very welcoming and homey - if he decided to have a full blown tantrum, they sell coffee to go, so I could at least make a decent cup back at the rental This place is a GEM!

Whether we were dining with a group of 9, an extended party of 16, or just enjoying a casual dinner at the bar, the service was consistently excellent. The staff handled everything with ease and professionalism - especially impressive given that our groups included anywhere from 3 to 6 children. They made sure the kids' meals came out quickly (a huge plus for us), and their attention to detail was excellent, even with the larger parties. The food was solid and well priced across the board. We tried everything from burgers and sushi to flatbreads, chicken, and the raw bar, and everything was fresh and prepared well. Drinks were also a strong point - reasonably priced, delivered promptly, and followed up on without us ever needing to ask. A nice touch during our visits was the live music - it kept the kids entertained and added to the laid-back, fun atmosphere. Even our evening at the bar stood out - we enjoyed the same great service and were able to take advantage of their happy hour specials. The updates that have been made here have only enhanced what was already a reliable, welcoming spot. Surf City Bistro continues to be one of the most family-friendly and consistently enjoyable dining options right in the heart of Surf City. We will be back again soon.

We weren't 100% sold because of some of the reviews, but still gave it a shot. We made a 6pm reservation online and were able to park in the lot adjacent to the restaurant. We were seated immediately and the hostess gave us a table by the front window. Nice, out of the way, allowed us to chat and people watch. We were initially shocked at how empty the place was for a 6pm reservation, but by the time we were done the place was packed. Out waitress came over and took our drink order (she never introduced herself, which always kind of annoys me). I ordered the Barrel -aged Manhattan (it came on the rocks though I ordered it up) and Wifey ordered The Maverick - gin, Aperol, lemon, Ginger, mint. For starters we had the Steamers special - in a white wine garlic butter sauce with grilled or charred shallots and Chargrilled oysters with spinach, panko, cheddar, and hot sauce. For our entrees Wifey had the NY strip with seasoned potatoes and I had the Crab cakes. Steak was excellent...the crab cakes were small for the price, but full of meat. Delicious Cole slaw. Appetizers were also great - my steamers were different than I've ever had because the flavor of the shallots really added a ton of flavor. Drink prices are ridiculous (they are everywhere on the island, but especially for the size of the Maverick.
