Good food, good drinks and good service. End of the season not many people. Nice and quiet.

I have to say, this was our second time dining here and I was not impressed like I was the first time. The restaurant has been remodeled and looks great. They have plenty of seating, outdoor dining and a private parking lot which is a huge plus. The staff is friendly and do their job very well from the minute you walk in. However, the food was ok. I expected more for the price. They serve alcoholic drinks, portions were a good size, but some of the dishes were bland or had too much sauce and covered up the flavors of the meat. The winners were the chicken tortilla soup and the fried calamari.

The service was pretty rough. Our server never introduced herself and came off more like a frazzled, annoyed lunch lady--rushing around, clearly disorganized. She had us pay on a tablet at the table, which felt impersonal. We ended up tipping well out of sympathy, but honestly, it wasn't earned. That said, the food was surprisingly good for the most part. The crab cakes were excellent, and the salad was tasty, even though the feta cheese was clearly low quality. Shrimp and grits were solid, while the short rib was disappointing--not tender at all. They were out of one of the main drinks we wanted, and the fries tasted like Popeyes (not necessarily a bad thing). Despite everything, we actually had a blast.

Bucatini (shrimp, mussels, fish). Pasta was very thick and tasty sauce. Would get again.

Cozy and dark fisherman atmosphere. Very nice waitress. Live acoustic act in the bar. Food was very good. Abundant cocktail and beer selection of high quality. Must get the wings as appetizer, crisped to perfection (dry rub of sorts) with very good blue cheese dressing. Crab cakes very lump, some of the best. Bucatini with seafood also very satisfactory. Would return!!!

I used to eat here once a year when I come down. I would get the duck. Yesterday I got the duck and was NOT impressed with the changes to the recipe. It also came MW when I asked for it to be MR. The accompaniments of the fennel is gross and the kumquats on top were barley cooked. All in all the recipe is not good this year. And then someone had the bacon mac and cheese and the pieces were huge SOFT bacon chunks - gross. The kale Brussels salad was very good.

Too loud. The restaurant was not full. Many empty tables. But we could barely hear each other

Overpriced - food is ok. The live music was great. Cocktail was served in a mini cocktail glass. Disappointing.

The absolute worst. Do not come here. Not joking. Horrible. 10 people, 2 meals that were barely edible.

She even surprised my husband with a selection of ice teas after asking him which kind he wanted. Smart girl! We enjoyed 2 appetizers - baked clams and artichoke stuffed with crab. Both EXCELLENTLY prepared with just the right amount of butter and garlic. I had the shrimp and crab dinner...sooooo much crab....no filler! Hubby had the seafood combo. Sides were delicious. They offer a small wine menu, but we passed. Price was moderate. We enjoyed our meal, the atmosphere and the staff. There is also a fishery market and the selections looked amazing. 45 years in business and it shows!!!!!!

She was so friendly and helpful and even tho they only have wine we were told we could go across the street to the liquor store and get beer . I must say I was a little disappointed, how does a nice seafood place like this doesn't have beer , cocktails or frozen drinks ? But we made it work with beer since it was simply way too hot for wine . The mussels bucket was really good and so was the garlic baked clams , they also have white corn that I could have eaten a dozen hahahaha !! We also ordered steak shrimp , cod fish and crabcake , it was well seasoned but there wasn't enough to be honest . The staff is awesome and the fish is very fresh, would definitely go back , but would be great if there were better outside seating and some frozen drinks . You should check it out . Thank you again Ceyida for the amazing service :)

We started with oysters..fresh, briny, and perfectly chilled and the tuna tartare stacked over creamy avocado with crisp taro chips, which was a standout. My lobster pasta was rich and flavorful, though the noodles were a bit more al dente than I usually prefer. My date went for the short rib, which was melt-in-your-mouth tender over a smooth carrot purée. Everything was beautifully presented and clearly made with care. It's definitely on the pricier side, but the quality, service, and overall experience make it worth it. Service was warm and attentive without being overbearing, and the whole atmosphere felt relaxed yet refined. Whether you're staying at the hotel or just in the area, Salt is a great pick for a nice night out on LBI especially if you want elevated seafood and a setting that feels special.
