They also have sauces, marinades, and lemons for you to season your seafood of choice. I had major sticker shock as I'm only used to buying fish from the grocery store. The prices here for seafood are a premium. However, I trust that buying fish this way supports your local fisherman, is ethical, and is much fresher than what you'd ever get from the grocery store (most likely frozen before) My friends and I decided on tilefish as we all have never tried it. It did NOT disappoint. It had a nice "chew" to it, and it picked up the flavors of lemon, salt, pepper, and blackening seasoning so well. If it's a special occasion or you just want to buy fresh fish directly on the island, give Cassidy's a try!

I said I didn't love the way they cut my halibut (long thin strip). I was nice, not angry. He snapped at me and said: "What do you want me to do?" Now meanwhile I've bought Haibit from them 20 times. Mean guy who has clearly never heard "the customer is always right."

Just so you know the seating is limited, only ten tables, and most people seemed to get meals to go. We lucked out and a table opened up as we got there so we stayed. I ordered a cup of the New England Clam Chowder and the Broiled Viking Village Scallops (all the meals came with 1/2 a corn on the cob and smashed potatoes). Wifey ordered the Broiled Shrimp meal, daughter had the Grilled Shrimp meal, and my son and daughter's boyfriend both ordered the Grilled Atlantic Salmon meals. We all really liked our meals. My clam chowder was a little salty, but had lots of clam and was great. The corn and smashed potatoes were also very tasty. If you like garlic, order the scallops...they didn't scrimp. We all walked away very full, very happy, and very much willing to return.

There are over 10 tiny shops to explore as well. They are independently owned, so you'll have to check with each store if dogs can go inside. It was really cool seeing the fishing boats and there are events throughout the year where leashed-dogs are allowed. The complex reopens in the spring, but you can take a peak around if you're in the area. Dogs are not allowed on the dock as it is a FDA violation.

Online on their website they have a designated app for takeout, if you're going to position yourselves as a takeout business you really need to invest in some paper plates and plastic utensils. We've eaten at the restaurant a couple of times, I knew I didn't like their pizza but knew I could eat it since that was what my wife wanted. in the past she has liked their pizza but not that night, she only ate one slice, I had two.
