Wanted a bite to eat after an event , and this place had great reviews for seafood which is right up our alley! The staff greeted us they were nice , seated us quick. But after that we waited a long time for a server to come over. The server was very nice but not attentive at all, was on her phone and talking to other staff members a lot. We ordered two apps and an entree. We got the calamari , and mussels in garlic sauce. And stuffed shrimp for an entree . The service was extremely slow and took over 45 minutes for the apps to come out ( they only had three other tables sat.) The prices were fair but definitely not worth paying $75. The mussels looked like they weren't even clean And didn't taste like much of anything ... had two and unfortunately couldn't eat the rest it was gross. The calamari wasn't bad , and the stuffed shrimp was good but there homemade onion rings were tasteless and the onions didn't taste cooked very disappointing. The inside was clean except for the million of flies flying around us which of course is super annoying anywhere you go to eat. Anyways I would not come out of my way here or recommend them.

Tried it. This diner experience was ok drinks outside and plant waitress. The dish we had of crab cake was ok.. very mushy. The burgers looked great. Love the location. More to try next summer

Delicious seafood, and a great family-friendly restaurant! We ordered lots of shellfish including crabs and mussels. I got a platter that allowed me to try a whole bunch of things. I loved the scallops and crab cakes. The service was friendly, no issues! I definitely recommend.

This seafood shop and restaurant is a great place to visit while at the beach. We stopped here for lunch during a warm weekend at the beach in October. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. There seats inside and out and the atmosphere was relaxing and casual. Our Ipswich clams or what New Englander call steamers were delicious. I also loved my Softshell crab sandwich which was big and fluffy. Overall we would go here again while in the area.

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon after Labor Day and there was no waiting for a table inside, there's also outdoor tables which are perfect for a day at the shore. I ordered the Manhattan clam chowder which was peppery and low on the clams. I also ordered the Crab wrap - lump crab meat, brie cheese, chopped bacon, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes + dill mayo in a spinach wrap, served with fries. I opted for a hoagie roll rather than spinach wrap. All good, plenty of crabmeat and crispy bacon. Mmmmm Service was prompt and served with a smile. I would recommend this restaurant and will be back.

Good food and attentive service. Trinity accurately took down our orders and checked on us throughout the meal. The restaurant was busy so we had to opt for outside seating. The ambiance was relaxed and casual. Our late night dinner experience was good and we will be happy to return for more meals.

My family and I ate here two times during our week vacation. The food, service and quality was top notch! It was so good and you have to go when you visit Ship Bottom. We ate at the restaurant both times but they have lots of delicious take out options too. Highly recommend!! My son loved the fish and chips and even ate two orders of them!! So good!

Go here for the tuna poke nachos and the artichoke heart appetizer both are BANGING but the artichoke was pricey for 4 mini crab stuffed hearts. Save that roll though to soak up all the goodness that was like an authentic Italian dish that reminded us of one of our favorite places that no longer exists. It's a garlic buttery artichokey sauce that's amazing! Put our name on the list and waited an hour and fifteen but had some high noons from across the street while waiting. The food is akllways worth the wait. Had the snow crabs which came a little cold at the ends but the legs were actually full of juicy meat.

Really good food! Waits can be a bit long and some of the bar tables outside might be on a slant, but overall some legit crab cakes! fried flounder was also good, as was blackened tuna sandwich. I would return when I am in LBI for sure. Here's a tip - get a dish with fries because as a stand alone side they are $8-$10; double the price of some of the other sides.

The BEST lobster bisque soup that I've ever been graced to have! Why do I only have pictures of the menu then? Because everything was gobbled up before the thought of pictures entered into my mind. No regrets here! My 2.5 year old absolutely destroyed his fish and chips platter, to mine and my husband's amazement. He "nom nom nom"ed the whole time, and we just kept giving each other a thumbs up, because dinner tonight was a total success! We started off with their fried calamari (crispy, fresh, and addicting) which came with a side of dipping red sauce that was delicious. Legs were also included which I do enjoy. The New England clam chowder was also another staple that shouldn't be skipped over. The subtle hint of dill was very refreshing, and added depth to this beloved soup. The lobster bisque soup, to me, stole the show, with the chunks of lobster that were generous and plentiful. Almost every other spoonful had lobster! Hubby and I each got their lump crab meat sandwiches, and MAN - these were insanely good! Worth every penny! For takeaway, everything was packaged with great care, and our order was waiting for us as soon as we walked in the door. Inside, the place was already JAMMED at 5PM! People were eating more than talking, and that was another good sign. We will have to get the dining in experience next time!

Vibes: casual seafood joint and market; bring a friend or the family to sit at the counter outdoors or tables indoors Tasting notes: - Blackened Thai Scallops: excellent caramelization with enhancement of the umami flavor from the mayo; meat was well cooked, sweet and tender - Macadamia-Nut-Crusted Halibut with Broccoli and Onion Rings: loved the large filet of flaky fish with a nice crispy coating; chutney offered sweetness as well as contrasting texture; could have used more seasoning for the broccoli and onion rings; did enjoy the uniform, crunchy breading to the onion rings - Lobster with Cole Slaw and Potato Salad: appreciated the claws pre-cracked and tail pre-split; meat was sweet and stood on its own wonderfully without the clarified butter; cole slaw was very light and not too creamy; loved the chunky texture of the potato salad Other thoughts: - small parking lot but plenty of street parking within a block - 45 minute wait during summer Saturday for two - BYOB! - Fairly quick turnaround between ordering and getting the food - appreciated the relatively generous portion sizes for both entrees and sides Impression: when at the shore, this is exactly the place for fresh seafood prepared in a great variety of ways!

    Fresh fish selections.

We started with oysters..fresh, briny, and perfectly chilled and the tuna tartare stacked over creamy avocado with crisp taro chips, which was a standout. My lobster pasta was rich and flavorful, though the noodles were a bit more al dente than I usually prefer. My date went for the short rib, which was melt-in-your-mouth tender over a smooth carrot purée. Everything was beautifully presented and clearly made with care. It's definitely on the pricier side, but the quality, service, and overall experience make it worth it. Service was warm and attentive without being overbearing, and the whole atmosphere felt relaxed yet refined. Whether you're staying at the hotel or just in the area, Salt is a great pick for a nice night out on LBI especially if you want elevated seafood and a setting that feels special.
