A wawa that is great for a literal grab-and-go. The couple times that I have been here, the hot food usually takes longer than it should, even when it is very empty at times. The staff is relatively friendly and seem to get their jobs done in a somewhat timely manner but seem to always be preoccupied with something else. There are times where I have asked if they are able to do something on the sub and they have to go ask someone else, even though it was something like no spinach. I visited Wawa for the second time and loved my experience. The inside looks like a modern gas station and there is so much variety. I got a veggie sub, dragonfruit fruit tea with popping boba, and tried some fries and mac and cheese. The food was really good! This was by far one of the nastiest places in Davie. I have never seen a bathroom that was so disgusting and dirty. The toilets looked like someone actually used them to wipe themselves after going #2. It calls into question what the people that make your sandwiches use. Granted I get it...I ordered food from a gas station, not a 5-star establishment. Nevertheless, I'm not displeased with the quality of my products, but the lackadaisical and inadequate service. I've ordered in-person multiple times and had great experiences! I've ordered two times online now, and both experiences were to my dismay! The first online order was through UberEats. After two hours passed and three uber drivers left without our order, we became skeptical. I called their venue and found out they hadn't made my order. Apparently, their online ordering system glitches, and many orders do not process to their kitchen. They provided a cookie that day as an apology... Assuming their UberEats platform to be the issue, I decided to use their Wawa app and ordered curbside pick-up. I placed my order, indicated the number of the spot I was waiting at, and waited more than 20 minutes in my car for three simple sandwiches! I watched the kitchen from my window and they did not appear very busy... Worried about my order, I called and was told they would bring out my order. Well, they indeed brought out my order, but what a complete joke! Luckily, I've learned to check my bags before leaving venues and I'm glad I did. On the app, I created a nicely filled double meat sandwich but received two slices of bread with mustard and a sprinkle of black pepper. Were they joking? Did they truly spend over 20 minutes on this masterpiece of a sandwich? I was so displeased, I took my sandwich to the kitchen for an explanation. I showed them the ticket of what I ordered and what they gave me. The sandwich prep claimed the machine only showed the sandwich containing bread and mustard and explained that their ordering platform "glitches" sometimes. Yes, it's a gas station, but it's so much more than that, too! They offer a large menu of made to order items. Everything from milkshakes, smoothies, sandwiches, pita wraps, lattes, and salads, all made to order from their many touchscreens. I go for the drinks. Their lattes are great. They offer seasonal flavors. Today I had the cinnamon French toast, it really tasted like French toast! Even their drip coffee is great. They have a large selection of flavored and nonflavored creamers in their chilled bar where you can doctor up your coffee just right. I love the Irish cream. They also offer flavored lemonades which are great during the hot summer. They also have a lot of premade food items. Sandwiches, dinners, fruit and cheeses cups, a lot of options for a quick snack too! The bathrooms are always clean, there's ample parking, gas prices are competitive, and they have tables outside where you can sit and enjoy a nice day. Everyone I've interacted with has been very friendly. Always helpful and they make an effort to remember your name. Great customer service. Today we tried the new Greek gyro. It was amazing. A constant task is filling my car with gas. As a fan of Wawa I decided to stop in to this one on my way home. It's not in my neighborhood so it was my first visit to this particular one. As I pulled in all the pumps were filled so I had to wait my turn. Which I like to wait when getting gas as I think it is safer to be at a busy station with lots of drivers pumping then being the only one out at the pumps. The pump had all the required inspection stickers and a phone number for those who need assistance to call for an attendant to come out. Each of the actual hoses were clearly marked diesel- ethanol - gasoline . I'm one of those who likes to always end in even numbers - which I did today. The one negative was the pump has a scratching sounded speaker playing music at the pump. Not sure if it was too loud or if it is just defective. After I finished getting gas I went inside to grab a coffee . Wawa is know for their coffee but I remembered my daughter telling me that WaWa has a secret menu. So I thought I would try to find it. Want to know the secret? You have to find the secret icon on the menu screen. Which I believe changes each time as today it was a little picture of Swedish fish. Once found I clicked on it and sure enough a new menu came up with one drink an iced or frozen lemonade with Swedish fish. I felt a little special that I found something not everyone could see. I can see the appeal of this place to folks on the east coast looking for a quick bite, but I might just take my business to a regular fast-food chain in the future. Came here pretty late at night and the kitchen was just slammed. There were 2 workers there, but they could only do so much. Orders just took forever, probably around 30 minutes. I'm from Philly and grew up with WaWa just down the street from my house. So happy to see it in Fr Lauderale! And everyone who works there is great; always with a smile and doing all they can to take care of you. There are busier times than others but if you are trying to get a Hoagie at lunch time there may be a little wait. But it's a very reasonable wait time. Originally from the Northeast and this is such an easy go-to food place and HA I got sooo lucky that it was built close to where I live. I go at least once a week, I try to restrain myself. My wife and I went to this Wawa in Davie by 595 this past weekend to see why others praised it so highly. Much of the experience was good but I was bothered that while almost all the staff were wearing masks in respect of the pandemic, one food preparer was wearing his mask on his chin. Occasionally he pulled it up over his lower lip but always exposing his mouth and nose, which defeats the purpose of the mask. Maybe he wanted to show off his mustache. I mentioned it to a manager because we have to be very careful as my wife is recovering from cancer. The manager was clearly annoyed and dismissive, giving me some made up statistic about mostly vaccinated people getting Covid. He insisted the employee I asked about had a badly fitting mask and he was required to wash his hands after each food preparation. I watched the guy for over 10 minutes and this was not true--not that it would have protected the food he leaned over. Maybe we'll try another Wawa sometime where the managers care about customers' health. read more
