This location is close to my church, so I've been here a bunch of times in the morning to pick up some coffee. The staff there are very friendly and helpful, whether I've gone in for self-serve coffee or a handcrafted drink. I frequently come to this Wawa, but my visit today was not great. This location was renovated about a year ago and it is great. New drink machines, an improved sandwich counter and lots of snacks. My usual concern with this place is their parking. It is an utter disaster. Not enough spots. Plenty of angry drivers. Wawa's delivery trucks take up numerous spots when they park here, too. Other than that it is great. They have the usual lineup of Wawa hoagies and drinks. However, this location has custom milkshakes and "flurries" available, that other Wawas don't have. They also have a larger variety of grab-and-go items compared to other Wawas. The condiments table is often dirty, however. Even though it was just renovated it does not have any more items than a smaller Wawa. My biggest concern was when I ordered a hit chocolate. First, they left it behind the counter and did not bring it out. Also, a lady was working behind the counter eating a chicken finger while making food. Disgusting. got a tunafish sandwich that was mostly mayo. there kiosk was malfunctioning so the order didnt go through & the cashier didn't tell us, so we had to wait extra long. plus!!! I'm on crutches & WaWa is too special to have a handicap access button. when I asked the manager why? he actually said,"what would you do with it?" Excellent store. Great selection. My grandson loves it here. Got a sandwich, smoothie and soft pretzel. Clean and welcoming. Great service. Good counter help. My wife only got a coke because she has a sore throat. She usually has a hoagie, chips and butter cake, and a smoothie and vanilla cream milkshake with crushed Oreos. She loves it here! She is usually a big eater. Clean and sparkling bathrooms. Long lines, but they go fast! Dave the cashier is the best. Really nice. Hard worker and ultra friendly. No matter what one you go to, they're always packed. The same five songs are playing on a loop. The workers are constantly grumpy (I used to work here, I get it lol.) the food is salty as hell and mediocre at best. The push for pizza is the worst. This is the closest Wawa to my work, but it's my least favorite Wawa in the entire world. First of all, the parking lot is entirely too small. Mornings and lunch time are a mess in the parking lot, due to people waiting around for a spot to open. Having the corner lot, the flow of traffic doesn't really work, so the cars can't get out of their spots if you are waiting. Once you get inside, the store appears to be smaller than some locations. There never seemed to be a standard process for them to make your sandwich orders. I've ordered before coworkers with a basic sandwich, to only have to wait five minutes after they get their food. I once wanted to get creative with a sandwich, only for the person making the sandwich to discuss to coworkers about who would eat a sandwich like this. I've been back once since that incident, but only because I was with someone else and they drove there. read more

I don't go here during the day because the parking situation is a nightmare. I'm surprised Starbucks hasn't tried to buy this lot. Constant vigilance is required during busy hours. People making 5 point turns, jockeying for position with the Wawa truck, the trash truck, or the Coke truck that doesn't even pull into the lot, they just park on Bryn Mawr ave and block the road. Traffic is backed up on Haverford Ave and Bryn Mawr Ave because people have to wait for someone to pull out before they can pull in. I much prefer going here late at night and dealing with intoxicated college kids vs everyone doing the rat race during the day. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, maybe an actual convenience store, because this ain't it! read more

You know that decrepit white house across the street from the Wawa? Thats where i spent most of my Friday and Saturday and many week day night throughout college. And what did i do when it was the middle of the night and all i wanted was a roast beef hoagie? I went to Wawa. Or where did i go when we needed solo cups for some fun and games? Went to Wawa. It was the go to place for anything. The only thing it didn't have was beer (thanks to the alcohol laws in PA). They really have anything you could possibly want made to order. Mac and Cheese, soups, sandwiches, coffee, milkshakes, etc etc. It is the best place on earth. What i wouldn't do to have on in DC! Seriously, living in DC has made me realize how underappreciated Wawas are. And I dont understand why we dont have them here. The ONLY positive thing about seven eleven is their slurpees. What is there not to love about wawa? They have everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. The sandwiches are great and they also have awesome healthy options, like salads that are actually really good. Went out of my way on a busy day to come here only to come to a sign that read temporarily closed. No explanation regarding why or time estimate on when it would reopen. I heard an employee say something about an area manager being there? I'd like to hear the area manager's explanation for this. Neither Yelp! Or Google pages were updated to reflect the closure. Dozens of people trying to get in only to be greeted with a makeshift paper "closed" sign. This Wawa is in a very high traffic area and it was in the 12:30-1:00pm time frame (lunch time). I go to wawa regularly during my lunch break of an 8 hour shift wearing FULL PPE gear and sweating profusely during the day. During my lunch break is the only time I get to relax and breathe. So, coming to this wawa was SUPPOSED to be part of my relaxing hour. However, it's not the busy parking lot or the long lines that bothered me (I always expect that). It was the fact I waited that long to not even be greeted by the cashier but rudely handled. I had to insert/ swipe my card over a dozen times while she stood there and was just silent. I didn't know what I was doing wrong or if the machine was broken or what because I knew it wasn't my card. After my payment FINALLY went through; I suggested to the cashier that the manager should take a look at it and she responded by saying "there's nothing I can do. That's the managers job" then I repeated myself saying the manager should look at it. Only to be given a nasty look and awful customer service. I don't do this often, but I also called the store and complained. They said they knew exactly which employee I was talking about and said they'd handle it. However, if they knew who I was talking about already then she should not have been currently employed. WAWA: if you want to keep business up then train your staff to treat your customers with respect and fire the ones that don't. They miscommunicated about my special order... they yelled my order number, but didn't verbally say "special order". Gave me a hard time about not knowing my special order number then they took my slip when I paid. When I didn't hand in my stamped slip to pick up my sandwich, they questioned me about the slip that they took from me when I paid for it. Worst Wawa experience I've ever had. Happy Hoagie fest! All I can saw is wow. Simply put, a convenience store with the right business model. Just had a custom breaded chicken sandwich with bacon, mustard, and the works... subway, jimmy john's do not compare. Honestly the greatest sandwich I've ever eaten from a chain store. I can never complain about Wawa. Folks that live in PA / NJ / DE / VA are very lucky to have a local chain like Wawa. Bar none the best thing is the flavored coffee. I literally get cravings for the taste of Wawa coffee and the really yummy Hazelnut or Irish creams. The deli has some really great menu items, and all the nutritional info is often posted somewhere in the store and definitely up on their website. If Wawa ever offered public stock I would grab a ton of shares. read more

Despite the fact that Philadelphia is a city of great sandwiches, and Wawa is ostensibly a glorified convenience store, I still make sure to hit up them up for at least one Classic Italian hoagie when I'm in the area. I lived a mile down the road from this one way back in the day, which is why it earns my review. First place I ever bought cigarettes legally, I practically had my own parking spot here. They were always friendly and quick, and I'm certain there hasn't been much staff turnover in the last thirteen years, so that probably is still true. read more

You get the occassional clueless Villanova student who is unfamiliar or uncaring in the coffee area but for the most part, the clientele is experienced. Wawa is the best. there is no hoagie like a Wawa hoagie. Try explaining this to someone who isn't from around here and they just don't get it. I love everything about Wawa. Their new frozen cappucinos are really good. This particular Wawa is not the greatest. The service is average, the coffee is good, the sandwiches are amazing as always, but the parking SUCKS and getting in and out of the parking lot is hell. It's even worse now that they finished construction. There used to be another little cut-through where you could kind of pull out onto Bryn Mawr Ave, facing the hospital, and when the light turned green, you could pull out of the parking lot and basically just cut off everyone who had been waiting at the light, because the entrance was kind of open into the intersection. I realize in hindsight that it was probably dangerous, but at the time it was the best. You never had to wait, you just cut off everyone. Pulling in was, and still is hell, and now leaving sucks too. Though sealing off that exit made 3 or 4 more parking spots that they did really need. Still, there's never enough parking. Wawa is the best bang for the buck, tastes great, they even now have whole wheat shorti rolls, or you can get sandwiches and wraps, and salads, plus a convenient store, and they sell tastykakes and other amazing things. read more

Excellent food and helpful employees, only problem I have is sometimes they get a "rush" of 30 or 40 people in line all at the same time and they only have one register open and by the time they open up another it is too late. Not a fan of this particular wawa. Often when I come in, they are out of mac and cheese. The sandwich makers are super nice though. The bagels that some of the people make during mid day aren't all that great. Very sloppy. One of the employees at night is very rude and makes it a point to make me feel bad that I'm there and getting something at the register while he's stocking (he rolls his eyes and huffs and puffs a lot) Other than that the service is great. On a windy night, big mike the wawa clerk was locking up, when during a large gust of wind, a Herrs Old Bay Chips bag flew onto his face and covered his eyes. I used to think that this wawa was not only in the perfect location but the customer service was excellent. That was until my boyfriend came home after picking up some odds and ends from the store, including ordering some products from the deli counter. He was so upset and enraged at what occurred as he stood waiting for his order. He said that as he was waiting for his order with his fellow wawa lovers, he noticed the tall African American male employee behind the counter sneeze into his glove and continue working on the hoggie he was preparing. Everyone around was wide eyed and shocked. My boyfriend asked that employee if he wouldn't mind changing his glove. The employee asked why he should, which in response was because he just had sneezed into his glove. The employee continued to deny that that had happened and that he had sneezed into his shirt with at least a eight witnesses. As my boyfriend kept insisting that the employee change his glove, a woman walked up to one of the consults and listened to what was being conversed. She asked my boyfriend if he had really in fact sneezed into his glove. Everyone nodded and he said yes. She then proceeded to explain that she as well insists he change his gloves and that she is a secret shopper part time and this would not go unnoticed. As the employee reluctantly changed his gloves he showed no sign of respect or "excellent customer service". My boyfriend then decided by the attitude and the actions that he was going to cancel his order and let the employee know not to make it. The employee responded by saying "Fine, i wont make it". I can not believe that someone who is employed to show customer service and hospitality would be so ignorant and disrespectful as well as disgustingly negligent for the health and safety of his customers. I will never eat from anything made from that deli again. I hope that every single person who encountered that situation thinks twice before letting this man make their food. And i hope that this man one day knows what it feels like to be putting his trust in someone to prepare something and then have it sneezed on or worse. read more
