The manager, Damon, is extremely prideful of his interactions with customers (and their children) and always greets with a smile and light conversation. They keep the location clean and he goes above and beyond in many aspects and ensures his staff is staying on top of things (cleaning tables, refilling condiments, etc.). Five Guys is one of my top 3 favorite burger joints. It is no frills and offers a purposely limited menu that focuses mainly on burgers and fries. The dining area in this location is far from immaculate, largely due to the complimentary peanuts patrons enjoy whilst waiting for their order. But it's not horrible. Tables were clean enough. Service was very good. We were warmly greeted by the individual at the register, and our order was filled quickly and correctly. Their burgers have two patties; "Little" burgers have one. They are juicy and not very thick. My go-to is a Little Cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, and mustard (and sometimes pickles). Every single one I've ever had has been amazing. LOVE their fries when they're hot and fresh -- which they were tonight. And they always intentionally overfill the fry cup, so the bag you get is practically a double order. Nice! Beverage machines offer a large variety of sodas, etc. I have yet to try their shakes but noticed they were quite popular, as most people coming and going ordered them. I've had some of my friend's Five Guys French fries before & remembered how delicious they were, so I wanted to try a milkshake and burger as well. My husband and I came for dinner on a Wednesday night. Most people were in there for takeout, but you can also eat inside. The cashier was friendly & took our order accurately. I had the little bacon cheeseburger (single patty), my husband had the bacon cheeseburger (two patties), two orders of little fries (in hindsight, we would've saved money just ordering one order of medium or big fries), and two milkshakes. The burgers & milkshakes include as many free toppings/mix-ins as you'd like. This is nice, but you're also paying top dollar for the food. For fast food, I consider this expensive as our total came to $36.00. That being said, the food was delicious, but I don't think I'd run back anytime soon given how expensive it was. read more

This is the only bad Five Guys I've ever been to. Bad enough that it skews my opinion of the whole brand. The food always takes 20 minutes later than the estimate, toppings are consistently missed, the fries are often soggy and not cooked enough, and they always skimp on the fries (which is the complete opposite of any other Five Guys I've ever gone to). I've given them the benefit of the doubt of having an "off day" too many times. Can't recommend ever going to this location. McDonalds would be better. read more

The Five Guys in Wayne, PA, on Swedesford Road, is awesome. Of course, I go there for their burgers - high quality ground beef and perfectly cooked. However, I also go for the service. The employees are awesome. They are friendly and they really care about the customer. Recently, when I was there, I met the manager. She was there, to support the staff and to talk to the customers, making certain that they were happy. I was really impressed. Food amazing as always, and fries packed well as usual. BUT really crappy attitudes by the front staff And NOT sanitary cooking habits in the kitchen by one of their staff members. My family member eats their burgers w/o the bun and always gets their burger wrapped with lettuce instead of the bun. When she made the request here, the front staff joked that she should just "have a salad bowl". We have NEVER had this problem w/a Five Guys before.... Five Guys is a chain which hails from Virginia. They've received many local awards there, and it's easy to taste why once you bite into one of their burgers or dogs. Their menu is fun because it is simple. Pick from a base template (dog? burger? little burger?) and add condiments. Some cost extra, while others are free. While you wait for your order to be yelled out, fill up your fountain drink and snack on complimentary peanuts at your table. On several occasions I've ordered their hot dogs with the works and I've always left satisfied. Today, I ordered a little bacon cheeseburger with jalapenos, fried onions, and sauteed mushrooms. Note that their meats are always cooked well-done - whether for liability reasons or style, who can say! While Five Guys is a chain, it is not any less for it. I can't believe I've never tried Five Guys before today! For a fast food burger, amazing! You order at the counter and take a seat. Crack some peanuts while you wait. When they call your number, you go up and grab your food. I ordered a cheeseburger with an untoasted bun, lettuce, tomato, grilled onions and mushrooms, Little fries (so much--do not be deceived by the name!), and an Oreo milkshake (vanilla milkshake with Oreo creme and Oreo cookie pieces topped with whipped cream). Everything was spectacular. The fries were hot and fresh cut. The burger was fat and juicy. The toppings were fresh. The milkshake was thick and creamy. Honestly one of the best milkshakes I've ever had. It was pricey (my meal came to $17), but it was worth it for the quality (never thought I'd say that about a fast food burger joint). Literally worst service ever. Wait times are insane for pick up orders that are supposed to be ready in 10 minutes. This time was over 45 minutes beyond the pick up time on a Tuesday night when it wasn't even busy. This location keeps getting worse and worse. I will never order from this location again. Served many people in front of me and told me they were out of bread. Then when bread came in made 7 other orders that walked in after me. Nobody acknowledged me when I came in, had to flag a worker down multiple times to get any service or explanation. No apology, only "we're out of bread, "there's nothing we can do. I've been going to 5 guys when there were only 3 locations around DC and they had free peanuts and peanut Shells on the floor. I don't eat there often, but when I do it is a real treat for me because I've always felt they had the best burgers. Tonight however, I have to say that I was extremely disappointed when my burger was cold and some of the free condiments I asked for weren't on the little bacon cheeseburger. Since 422 traffic is usually between me and Elevation Burger, I've resolved that Five Guys is my more available and reliable number two! Their regular cheeseburger is $6.79, which means two patties. They use the equivalent of yellow "singles" cheese, not really cheese, but this is my favorite anyway. Endless complimentary toppings including mushrooms, onions, condiments, lettuce, tomato, green pepper, jalapeño. Complimentary self serve peanuts available in big boxes within the store. Folks with allergies beware! Five Guys has also recently began to offer "little" fries. Yesssaahh! Because the regular was always way too generous. They can be ordered plain or with zesty Cajun seasoning. Atmosphere is pretty plain. Tiled floors and regular tables. read more

I walked into five guys around 9:55, right before they were about to close (10:00). I expected a simple order and go. However, when I placed my order I could not help but notice how friendly the staff was. Usually when a store is about to close you get a feeling of the staff being tired and just ready to go home. However, that clearly was not the case. I felt welcomed and had a genuinely nice time there. Their burgers are fantastic, their milkshakes are mouthwatering, and their fries are simply amazing. Gave this store another try. Ordered ahead online this time. Again a major disappointment. One order had cheese when it wasn't supposed to. Buns on one burger were stale. Had to wait 10 minutes as fries are made to order on arrival. Kind of defeats the purpose of ordering ahead, I think, but whatever. Turned out fries were kind of crappy. Soggy and lukewarm, presumably from not being fried at a high enough temperature. Strongly recommend not taking the risk of wasting your money here. Looks like some of the same crew working here as the last time I visited several years ago. KOP mall store was much better. This was just crap food and I am sure they do not meet the expected standards of a Five Guys place, let alone any fast food joint, but then again you can often be hard pressed to find merely acceptable fast food nowadays, especially in certain areas (particularly the Berwyn/Paoli/Malvern area), where my experience is that food is vastly subpar or service is incompetent and/or surly. read more

We go out every other day for a ride during these times of isolation. We go to the market for necessities but this ride was just to get out. Yesterday, 4/3 at 3:30 PM, while driving around we decided that we NEEDED an order of Five Guys fries and we stopped by. The store was set up for maximum protection and was empty except for the 2 young men working there. Given the bleakness of the situation these 2 guys brought cheer to the experience. The fries were, of course, excellent but the day was brightened by these 2 friendly, competent, professional employees. It makes all the difference in the world to have people of this caliber.
