Horrible customer service. Apparently they just turn off their phones because they are overwhelmed with orders after a wrap from there went "viral", and also put wrong dates on their website of when you can place and order. Drove 30 minutes just to show up and get turned away by a rude employee. hey Sassano's here's a tip instead of cutting off your phone and turning it back on after you aren't so "overwhelmed" maybe put a recording on that says "we are sorry, due to high volume we are no longer accepting orders at this time, please check back. ALSO, if you are going to say on the website that you aren't accepting orders make sure you put the right date and not have a message from a week ago date. When I called back later to see if they were accepting orders I was trying to let them know theres better ways to communicate to the public about no longer accepting orders. and the rude employee who answered got all defensive and said if it's a inconvenience then you can order somwhere else, oh ok sir I will definitely take my $20 I was going to spend on a wrap there and go somewhere where they treat customers with respect. I love Sassano's. They do lunch, catering, and fresh pasta and they do it very well. For lunch, they have a simple menu of sandwiches and salads and usually have a special sandwich and soup(s) of the day. My husband always orders the Chicken Cultet sandwich with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe. I try to switch it up but my usual suspects are the Spicy Eggplant Sandwich or the Arugula Salad. I recently tried the tuna salad sandwich with long hots and it will certainly be added to my rotation. The rolls that they use (or make) are really good. We always order their fresh pasta for hosting special occassions at our house. They also have to-go meals if you don't want to cook dinner. Sassano's is probably one of my absolute favorite spots to get lunch during the work week. I work nearby and am SO happy colleagues recommended it! They do house made pastas and other items you can pick up to take home for dinner, take out (or eat in, but it is a small place with only a few tables), take out, and catering! Chicken Cutlet or Grilled Chicken, Broccoli Rabe, Sharp Provolone (note: I ALWAYS get it with the chicken cutlet) I am obsessed with those two sandwiches and find myself craving them often. The sandwiches are big too, so I can usually bring half home for my husband to enjoy as well! Plus, the bread holds up and does not get soggy if you bring it home a few hours later! All the sandwiches I have had so far are fantastic! I also really enjoy (and have gotten more than once ) the Turkey, Applewood Bacon, Gorgonzola, Cranberry Mayo and the Imported Italian Meats, Roasted Red Pepper, Spicy Brown Mustard. I just always tend to circle back to my top 2 choices. You cannot go wrong with ANY of the sandwiches here, I have only ever heard rave reviews when my coworkers get the other options. Went here for lunch - excellent! It's hidden in a strip of stores behind the old Burger King / Starbucks. Great lineup of sandwiches. The turkey bacon was out of this world. The bread looks like it was homemade, and was amazing -- to me, the roll makes the sandwich. The added cranberry mayo was a nice touch - creative!
