Hours have become sporadic. I've been there twice over the last couple weeks between 8:00 and 10:00 am and they weren't open.

    Tuscany Cafe - Avocado BLT

I had the BLT with avocado and every part of the meal was excellent. The toasty bread was crisp and had a really nice texture; the egg was cooked just how I asked; the bacon a perfect balance of crisp and chewy. I asked for an extra side of avocado (I'm all about getting my fiber) and it arrived at the peak of perfect ripeness. The home fries were tender and savory. Also my cappuccino was delicious. The dining area was very clean and had a faintly rustic feel. The bathroom was also sparkling clean. I was in and out in less than 40 minutes, too, but never felt rushed. There were plenty of vegetarian options. I'm not too sure about it if you have to avoid dairy or gluten; the menu has a lot of that. Handicap access was pretty good: no steps to get in and out of the place. Honestly I can't wait to visit here again!

Random Monday in August, line out the door AFTER 1pm! Everyone should be on vacation but the…read morecurrent administration has bilked everyone so badly that no one can afford to go away (sadly stats tell me many folks in Broomall actually voted for him). So rather than their week at NJ shore, the crowd beat it to Apple Walnut. Took a little over 10min to be seated, so not terrible, but this was at the very tail end of service. I was born with an intermittent fasting stomach; I've never been a breakfast-eater and brunch is gross to me! I mention this because I've never taken my son out for breakfast foods so it was great to have this experience. My little one had a HUGE "Go Go Bananas" It said it was "hot cakes stuffed with Bananas" but they were just plain. It mentioned caramel on top which wasn't there (they subbed syrup without asking); frustrating and unprofessional. It also had a slice of poundcake French Toast topped with grilled bananas, and then banana French Toast with granola. It was a decadent treat of gluten and sugar that we don't normally eat at home. My son was really happy. My burger was okay but not memorable, and the fries were that awful batter-dipped cheap kind that I don't eat and they just made the whole thing "mid" as the kids say. Service was very very slow per the crowd and it being the end of the shift. Our server was cheerful and I told her to take her time, but I didn't realize we'd be left waiting forever for water refills, 30min for food (kitchen's fault), and at least 10min after asking for check. I still tipped well over 20% but their staff seems too spent and overwhelmed from the crazy crowds that are so unusual this time of year. In summary, it was great for decadent breakfast foods, diner-quality for my burger, and while I understand how taxed our server was, the service really dragged. I had seen reviews commenting on the wait but do beware that it's still suuuper bad apparently at all times of their hours, and even random weekdays when people are enduring their Trump staycations. I rate it a 3 but my son was so happy with his food so I rounded up.

I was in the neighborhood around lunch time and saw a line of people waiting for orders. I parked in the bowling alley lot next door. The girl at the counter was very friendly and recommended a cheesesteak. I ordered one with American Cheese and hot peppers. You get a choice of seeded or non seeded roll ... of course I went seeded. I sat at the old school counter and enjoyed hearing some locals catching up, older fellas chatting about nothing and watching the boys work that flat top. My sandwich came out pretty fast. The roll was crispy and fresh, the meat was tasty and packed in so tight not a morsel of meat fell out, the cheese was melted into the roll and meat extremely well and each bite was full of hot pepper bite. It was well put together and made. I was impressed and would rank this cheesesteak pretty high in Delco. Not the best I've had but quantity and quality wise it's well above average. The breakfast here is what everyone typically raves about (I'll be back for a breakfast sandwich), but don't sleep on the lunch menu. Especially that cheesesteak! Thanks guys for a great experience.
