Great variety of fresh made bagels. Great breakfast options! Great service, quick and nearby! Quickly becoming my go-to place many mornings. (Coffee too!) read more

The bagels are great! Delicious Staff friendly However several times i ordered to go like today and i found out for example they forgot to put jelly to the bagel etc. Very frustrating if i am on the road. But again, i always come back for the delicious bagels lol read more

I'm not sure why there's a bunch of bad reviews? Spread Bagelry is a solid breakfast spot, and I'm so happy they expanded to Newtown Sq. I loved the BLT (avocado added) bagel I had the other day. The space is also much bigger than their Bryn Mawr location. I'm very excited to bring my laptop and maybe work from there some days while I enjoy my bagel and coffee! read more

Delicious bagel options and sandwiches! Nice atmosphere and outdoor seating. I would recommend and would attend for breakfast again

Based on this one...and "only" visit...I'll be surprised if they're around in this location a year from now! Went in at 1:50 pm. The place was virtually empty and yet it took over 10 minutes to get two sandwiched. I can only imagine what breakfast or lunch rush would be like! "Rush"...doesn't seem to be in their vocabulary. I listened while they told another customer that she'd have to select another bagel because 1 just sold and the "other" was reserved. Just 2 salt bagels in the place. There was a "pack" of employees wandering about aimlessly. I couldn't figure out what their duties were...and aside from their conversations and cell phone checks....neither could they. The "cook" prepared orders "one at a time" in slow motion. Multi-tasking was definitely not the "order of the day". When my order was finally completed...it sat lost and lonely on the counter until someone finally showed up to rescue it...and me. They tout that the bagels are cooked in a wood Fired oven. I guess that means burned. Head on over...if you're a glutton for punishment. read more

I hate writing these kind of reviews. Anyone who knows anything about bagels, boiled not baked, it's a bagel and not pizza. They will be one and done here. Bummer ... read more

ordered online it was fresh and ready when I got there. The staff is always friendly. There food is always delicious and made correctly

We go here every weekend and this was the first time we had this experience. I specifically stated my son's allergy and once I got home I realized they used the same knife to cut his bagel as my daughter's with strawberry cream cheese that he is allergic to. Needless to say he could not eat the bagel and there was nothing offered but an I am sorry ( I would think reimbursement or a replacement for their mistake would have been had) . Would never go here again and do not recommend if you have allergies unless you want to end up in the emergency room. I'll have to find somewhere else to spend $50 on the weekend for bagels. read more

Great coffee and bagel & egg sandwiches! Very good quality, well prepared and well-packaged.

this place is AMAZING. literally some best bestest bester breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. in my life. i make breakfast sandwiches for my self so often, and this place far surpasses my cooking skills. the service is slightly slow, but the food is so much worth the wait! like genuinely, try it and tell me I'm wrong. the ambiance is nice in there because it is cozy and welcoming. great place. read more

We waited over 30 min for an order. Maybe I've been spoiled by the Bryn Mawr location, which is equally (if not more) crowded on Sundays. Ellis Preserve is a nice spot, so I'm disappointed and hope management sees this review. read more

I visit frequently on weekends. Was there on Sunday, 11/23 around 8am. Was not crowded, yet several tables were dirty and the floor was unswept and filthy. Coffee is always great, service is just ok. With a bit of work, could be a really good place. read more

I like the cook and dough on this brand and style of bagels. Service was just ok. I asked for their basic meat, egg and cheese sandwich without the egg and got charged for a make your own sandwich which was only a dollar less and waited 15 minutes for it around 11 am. read more

I ordered a Nova, salmon on toasted sesame bagel with cream cheese. The bagel was burnt and had no taste. I also ordered a dozen bagels. Again, the bagels tasted like paper. The sesame bagels were actually burnt at baseline. Atmosphere was pleasant but bagels unacceptably bad. I should have continued on to Bagel Bistro which has authentic bagels. read more

Went twice now just to make sure because it is very convenient in this new location and I want it to be good, and have to say that the two breakfast sandwiches I have eaten were abysmal. The service at the counter was kind and that was the only positive from the visit. I have always thought the bagels at these Spread places were just mediocre...fresh baked, but more of a dense bread than a bagel...but fine for a breakfast sandwich...definitely not a traditional stand alone bagel of any quality. I can make and have made better at home. The Nova Scramble was an absolute mess. The nova spread was nothing like the nova spread I had at the location in Bryn Mawr. Here it was a pink lightly flavored spread with little to no pieces of nova. Shame. In Bryn Mawr I got it and it was good white cream cheese studded with a lot of Nova. The sandwich here itself was massive, but in a bad way - put together like a 7 year old made it. Giant sloppy scrambled egg spilling all over the place out of the bagel. thick tomato that made everything slide all over the place. The giant sandwich could not be eaten without making an absolute mess. split it in half and one side an open faced lox spread and tomato and onion, and the other a hunk of messy scrambled egg on bread. At least in open faced halves they were edible, but still not very good. Tried the fritatta scramble today. Onion Bagel. Eggs. Smoked Bacon, Smoked Cheddar, Sliced Tomatoes, and Strawberry Jam. It was an even bigger mess than the one I got previously. this time the giant scrambled egg with cheddar was not even on the bagel when I opened the package. Same massive thick cut tomatoes that make everything slide everywhere and fall apart. Some decent bacon was the only redeeming quality here. Again, massive sandwich that can not be eaten normally. a sticky mess. Fork and knife only on this one...so poorly constructed that the entire blob of cheddar was out of the sandwich and stuck entirely to the paper it was wrapped in. the egg was even sloppier than the first sandwich. Literally inedible if you plan to eat this as a standalone sandwich with your hands...and I hope you hate your upholstery in the car if you even think about eating it on the run. Overall an extremely disappointing first two visits and not sure I will repeat after being twice bitten. There are decent bagels that can be had in the area and I will go elsewhere to get them. I won't name places but three on the same road within 2 miles in either direction and one specifically that just opened which blow this place out of the water. Great new spot...However, this the United States of America! We like things big, especially our coffee drinks. 1 size Latte!?!?!? And it's the size of a thimble?!?! Let's go SB! You can do it! Get larger cups and charge more. You got this! TF read more

The Philly. Blew. My. Mind. SUCH a unique assortment of bagel sandwiches here, and they coat them with a very subtly sweet honey glaze that gives them exactly the kind of crunch when you bite into a bagel. SUPER friendly and accommodating staff, as well... I left behind a bag of important things and was panicking that it was lost forever, but they kept it safe for me and were so gracious in returning it just as I left it. Definitely a highlight of Ellis Preserve! read more

newtown square - only ever one person working at the front. that is one cashier, one barista, one server, one customer service. at any time I have been there - just one person doing everything. this makes everything ridiculously slow. customer service is evidently not important to managers/owners. plus, do you really want the dirty hands of someone dealing with payments touching your food and drinks? Too expensive for shoddy business behavior read more
