Stumbled across this hole in the wall shop when walking through the area & it was so good we doubled back! We'll DEFINITELY be back! The vibe: A lil run down but you feel at home. Sweet staff, fast service, & they've got some small tables both inside or out front. The food: We ordered a bacon egg & cheese on everything bagel and an egg & cheese on everything bagel both days. Each time it was 5 stars across the board! The bagel was seasoned & baked to perfection! Thick, chewy, & firm enough to not fall apart. The egg was buttery & the cheese was gooey. It was so good I would happily have paid more!

Welcoming small town store front. Local art along the walls. Heard one of the workers say they had been at work since 4 making the delicious bagels from scratch. That kind of dedication to the job is all I needed to hear. The food reflects the work ethic. Cool, quiet environment to sit in and eat before taking home a baker's dozen of plain, sesame, cinnamon raisin, everything, Asiago, and last but not least, my favorite, blueberry. Wish I lived closer, as I would be here more often!

Popped in for a dozen to bring to my customer instead of the usual donuts. It was a good choice - these are quality bagels. Maybe a little more doughy than I prefer but the selection was good, the taste was excellent and the quality was great. 12 bagels, 2 tubs of cream cheese = $16. Street parking is tough but if you can be in and out quickly (I was) then you're fine.

Everything bagel...they must have ran out of seasoning. Undercooked, too doughy

Being from New York I have a hard time finding good bagels west of philly. Custom bagels was a major let down. The bagels are rather small. I ordered an everything bagel and the seasoning was scarce at best. The dough was slightly undercooked and lacked a true bagel taste. The saving grace was their cream cheese (philadelphia) Caveat Emptor!

Custom Bagels' 1lb of chicken salad makes us 4 sandwiches at home!

Delicious! Loved their take on the everything bagel, a doughier bagel with tasty toppings. Pork roll and egg cooked well.

The overall experience was great, with cute indoor and outdoor seating and kind workers. We got the French Toast BLT and the Grilled Cheese Combo. Both were fantastic and miles above average, and I've been to a lot of brunch places. We WILL be returning and this will be our go-to spot going forward. This is not your average brunch food. French Toast BLT was the ultimate meal for sweet and savory lovers, with maple syrup on the side for dipping. I got it with an over easy fried egg per the recommendation of another Yelper; amazing addition! It's also a huge portion, you will have enough to save for later. Highly recommend! The Grilled Cheese Combo is an amazing comfort food meal that will make you want a nap after. Pesto grilled cheese with nicely spiced tomato soup for dipping! My boyfriend couldn't finish it. We shared and I loved it as well! Could see myself ordering both our meals again in the future. Definitely check this place out for brunch if you're in the area!

It's the perfect backdrop for reuniting with old friends over laughs and stories, or bumping into locals I haven't seen since my younger (more rowdier) days. The vibe is warm, welcoming, and quintessentially Media - right at the Orange Street corner of the iconic Media Courthouse. Jeez, jury duty must suddenly feel like a blessing when you can pop over for a midday lunch break! Now, let's talk food - Does Rivalry deliver! Their fresh hand made crab cakes are the best this side of Maryland: juicy, flavorful lumps of crab with just the right crisp, no filler nonsense. Paired with their other tasty dishes - think fresh salads, hearty sandwiches, and soups that never miss - every item on the menu is a hit. I've yet to try something that didn't leave me with a smile. The portions are generous, the service is friendly, and the prices feel like a steal for the quality. Make no mistake ALL made fresh. If you're in or near Media, do yourself a favor and make Rivalry your next stop. Whether you're a local, a visitor, or just fulfilling your civic duty nearby , this spot turns any occasion into a memorable one. Five stars all the way - can't wait for my next visit!

The menu is expansive. Many options caught my eye. If you order an entree, their salad bar comes with it, or, for $8, you can add it to your app/sandwich. For $16, the salad bar can be your entree. The salad bar was a great treat and has everything you could want along with fresh fruit and desserts like bread pudding. We shared the buffalo chicken dip. It was ok. Not bad. I got the prime rib queen cut with a side of horsey sauce. It was cooked to the temp I wanted. I got their homestyle mashed potatoes as my side. The meal was delicious. Took home half. My friend got the ribeye melt sanwhich. She could only manage a few bites before packing it up as she also added the salad bar to her meal. We split a chocolate mousse pie for dessert. So fresh and decadent. The cost was reasonable too! Will definitely go back to try more options. My only gripe is that they brought out our app just minutes before our entrees. I wonder if they forgot about it. Our server was great. She let my friend and me catch up without too many interruptions.

Bar service can be slow however. I tried the turkey dinner a while back and though it was lacking in volume it was tasty. Dunno if I'd trust the entrees again after taking my wife there the other night. The Steak Diane I ordered medium came out raw. I mean really raw like barely seared. The first and only bite I took revealed that not only was it raw but the Diane sauce was absolutely horrible. There was no cognac in the sauce whatsoever (which is a key ingredient for Diane sauce) and was flavorless. It tasted like a very basic "tan" gravy was used. I'll be back for the salad bar. Er...maybe. ------------------------------------- In response to owner (?) Tracy M.'s comment below. Really? No Steak Diane on the menu? So I imagined this and just decided to lie? Wrong! I was there the other night and if you care to look at your own menu under "Steaks" you'd see it. The fact that YOU aren't even aware this is on your menu on the hard copy menu your hostess gave us that night and on your website shows your knowledge level (not the one here on Yelp that you haven't updated). So you still serve your "Baked chicken wings" too listed on your Yelp menu? Not! This speaks volumes!! Coming from a saucier like myself I know darn well there was no cognac (nor red wine) in the sauce as the description on your menu in the "Steaks" section states: Steak Diane $32.00 Sirloin steak covered with black peppercorns in a rich mushroom red wine sauce and served with mashed potatoes and grilled onions. Perhaps if you actually knew what is on your menu you'd perform better!

However, this is the circumstances that led me to Rolling Stars. Not knowing what to expect whatsoever, except that I read that they served bagels, I was blown away by the offerings and the quality of everything they have, and will definitely be coming back to try some other menu items in the near future! Not only do they make almost everything from scratch, homemade here, with the bagels obviously being their signature item, everything is fresh, bold and wonderful. They even have a daily soup that is prepared by hand, that is available all day long, even for breakfast. If you've read any of my other reviews, you know that this is a game changer for me. Their coffee drinks are very good, and while not the best I have had, they are fun, tasty and they will make special additions simply if you've ask. In my case I ordered a simple cappuccino but they added little heart sprinkles for Valentine's Day since it is upcoming, even though the drink doesn't have them. The biggest problem I had was trying to decide what to actually choose from the menu because I was faced with way too many options that I wanted. I ultimately went with "the Bella", a portobello sandwich, which comes on your choice of bread, or any of their bagels, of which I chose the egg everything. Within a few bites I knew that this was easily within the top three bagel sandwiches I had ever had, and I am very critical of bagels and have had a TON of bagels and bagel sandwiches, coming from a kosher deli family. I also had the soup of the day which was a brilliant chicken noodle with awesome large macaroni elbows that just totally kicked it up. In our entire visit we only encountered one thing that was bothersome and it wasn't with my food but with our table's, and this was likely due to expectations. The jalapeño cheddar bagel is simply a plain bagel with a slice of cheddar and diced jalapeños on top. Now it was still outstandingly delicious, but I feel like we were under the impression it would be cooked into the dough and the entirety of the bagel. This wasn't the case and I can't knock them for it because it was still fantastic; aesthetics be damned! You should definitely visit here if you have not been here yet, and I can guarantee you will be coming back again and again. I cannot wait to go back, and I didn't even touch on the crazy awesome bagel chips that come with nearly everything!
