Super-Builders was really responsive and came by a couple days later to evaluate and quote the project. They even offered an option for me to consider that was a little more expensive but would result in a longer lasting fix. Why didn't I use them you ask? I am figuring out a fence repair with a landlord next door who hasn't been the easiest to work with. In spite of this, Super-Builders was very patient and even worked through different quote options. My only regret is that I wish I could have moved forward with them, but my landlord/neighbor wore me down, so we're going with his "handyman" approach which I know I will regret. When I called Sun eve he said nothing was definite and had another job and he could do it the following week. Didn't confirm. Needed to ask the morning of if he was coming. He confirmed. He sounded sick. A lot of chest congestion and I didn't feel comfortable being around him. Next day he was in bad shape, needed quite a few rest breaks.I hired him to replace pergola and deck boards, power wash and stain. Missed some areas of the pergola with the power wash and asked about any other boards that needed replacement. He didn't act on that. Power wash on pergola was inadequate and left a lot of paint chips coming off on the deck. Anything above the estimate on the deck, The charge was a little excessive. Asked about sanding, he kept on evading the subject and just carried on with the staining. Didn't really give me a choice of stain. Says he uses brown on older decks. Not happy with the color.Noticed an additional board on the pergola that needed replacing after payment and asked if he would come back for that. Again, evading the issue. Finally told me he was not going to come back. I found his work to be inadequate at best. I'm sorry I hired him for my job and need to hire somebody else to address the issues.

After obtaining a few quotes, Gerald P. won me over with not only his assessment, but also the way he explained everything, in addition to his easygoing demeanor. All of the other estimators spent a couple of minutes. Reuben Borg was the slightly more expensive option, but the value was far greater, given the premium wood, wider slats, taller height, deeper post holes, thicker gate, and the use of RizerBella post protection. The crew was also very efficient, showing up exactly at 9am and completing the job by 4:30pm (same day). The fence looks absolutely fantastic. It was such a positive experience that I struggle to find any faults. If I had to be nitpicky, they did leave small advertisements for the company on the fence (though this also proves how much they stand by their work). There was also no reminder communication the day before or day-of the project (not a problem for me, as we had previously discussed the start date).

Karla did a supurb job keeping me informed of the start date (delays because of the heavy rains,) The team built a board on board fence with a lattice topper to replace a partially fallen existing fence, as well as two side-entry gates. Both side yards had shrubs, plants, and small trees on the property line. The team was very careful working around them to minimize need to trim. The 2-3 man team worked very efficiently and completed the whole project in less than 3 full days. Worksite was cleaned up at each days' end. Excellent communication from start to finish, and a nice follow-up text from the owner. The estimate and the final cost were both in line with the last minute modification to the gate I made during construction.
