Service here in the patio in the summer can be hit or miss. You chance getting a waitress who knows what she is doing or walking away with a gift card for terrible service. They have a great summer line up of bands. They have a great drink menu with fun beachy concoctions. Bring a lawn chair because it might be so packed they have more grass than seating sometimes. They have a large area to rent for private parties and sometimes have bands and public events in there. The menu is limited in Friday's and Saturday's but food is good if you have a good waitress ;) I'll come back for a band or a drink on a hot day. The view of Lake Winnebago and the breeze coming off it makes this place a local favorite. read more

This was horrible. We went on a Sunday for lunch and the service was shockingly bad. We waiting over an hour for a pretzel and then the server told us it came out quick. She was rude and she obviously had way bette things to do than help us. When my chicken sandwich came out it was 3 tiny chicken fingers that weren't much bigger than a French fry. The updates are very impressive but don't order food. read more

We had our wedding reception at Waverly and it was beyond perfect! Jonathan was so great to work with and so accommodating! Our guests are still making positive remarks about the food, service and overall atmosphere! I highly recommend Waverly for any big gathering! We had about 320 guests and the service was still awesome! read more

Watch out for your bill. They take a credit card to start a tab, but if you pay cash they don't take the 3% credit card charge off your bill. Didn't see this till I got home, probably will not go back!! The food was so so. Wife ordered a burger medium rare and came out well done fries and tater tots very salty and the prices are crazy for what you get. This was my first time and I'm sure the last time i will go there. THIEFS!!! read more

Just an additional comment, I would go for an afternoon of live music but would not rely on the service. The lake is always a draw especially in summer. Food was at best marginal. read more

Food takes forever to be served. Not hot when it gets to you. I have tried three times on three different occasions and it was the same.

First, I wouldn't completely write this place off just yet. They get a 5-star rating for the setting, upgrades and atmosphere. This place aesthetically is very pleasing. The two star overall rating is for a combination of other factors. One of the not so great parts: The Ultimate Bloody Mary was something I simply had to try. It looked obnoxiously impressive and kudos for the novelty factor. All three in our party sampled it and were in agreement: The food was not good at all. The chicken was dry. The pickle was replaced with a calamari cup, which would have been great if the calamari was decent. They were crispy little bits but subpar. The chicken was dry and texture was "blah". The cod in the cod sandwich and shrimp skewers were the only things that I considered edible, but nothing to write home about. The Bloody Mary mix itself was okay. It was a little spicier than I typically like but overall not the worst. I couldn't eat or drink most of it. The social media photo ops were not worth the $40 price tag. Save yourself the money and post someone else's photos instead. (Permission to post mine is granted. Trust me - I'd feel better about spending so much on that drink if someone else can learn from my impulsive mistake, lol.) Thumbs up for the Brisket Grilled Cheese with Gouda. My WI relatives have ordered this before and I understand why. Very tasty! Four stars for that! Waverly Beach earns only one star for service. I would have given no stars except for the fact that our waitress was very friendly and engaging. Management needs to be more responsible. There were only a handful of people here when we arrived but it quickly increased to at least 15 tables of 4 or more customers, spread out throughout this spacious establishment, including a party in an outdoor igloo (as well as many patrons around the bar enjoying conversation and the televised football games). Our waitress informed us that she was the ONLY wait staff on duty. Her attitude, despite this, was very positive! How can one person function properly in this situation? One of the bartenders stepped up and delivered our Ultimate Bloody to the table. (Thank you.) Some of the service issues: I ordered a beer sample at the same time the other two in our party ordered their drinks. Drinks were served minus my beer. I had to ask multiple times until it was finally served after a lengthy wait. The others at my table were almost done with their drinks. My SIL received her brisket grilled cheese without any napkins or silverware. I retrieved some at the bar (after a bit of a wait trying to get someone's attention). My SIL had to walk to the bar to inquire about my ultimate Bloody Mary drink. She was almost done with her meal but I was still waiting for drink/food. I had to go to the bar to request extra napkins/plates. The wait at the table was way too long. After trying the bloody, I knew I needed a beer chaser (shot glass) to cleanse my palate. I ordered one and the waitress happily agreed. Thirty+ minutes later (I timed it), I asked the waitress and she admitted she forgot. She did end up making things right. I know there is a staffing shortage crisis in our nation. That being said, if I was the owner and had spent so much money recently on such amazing upgrades of the physical establishment itself, I would want to assure that the money was well spent, and be on site making sure the infrastructure was in place to launch this beautiful reopening. I'd be running tables if need be! I'm very curious about what backstory is missing in the tale of this gorgeous launch gone wrong. read more

I rarely give reviews but felt this was needed! Our recent visit to your fine establishment shattered our expectation! The service was 5 Star and as always staff was very friendly. It was so busy they literally sat people right next to us outside. The food was fairly priced and quality was impeccable. The pizza arrived hot and fresh and they even provide some type of special aged Parmesan cheese that added that extra flair! One small issue was resolved when one of our party had to return something. She even mentioned how the extra staff that overheard her quickly responded! Overall it's a universal 9.99/10 and we will be back to see about that extra .01 to get that 10/10 read more

The restaraunt was not busy at all. Waited on the patio for 30 minutes. Didn't receive service. Went inside and got service after 20 minutes of waiting. Finally got our food and the waitress forgot to put in our appetizer so we never recieved our cheese curds. My burger arrived cold as well as the tater tots. Terrible service and terrible food. Do not waste your time read more

Really impressed with the new update of the bar area. Very nice TVs are great- great place to watch sports. Main drawback is the food and the service. I think the poor service may do the due to understaffing? However the food there's no excuse I had wings boneless and they were gray in colori inside and very chewy. And the prices were very high for the quality of the food. I would go back to have a drink but not food until they figure it out.. read more

Haven't been here for a while and was a little worried based upon our last experience a couple of months ago, but today we had great food and service! Keep it up Waverly team. Love to see you be wildly successful. P.S. Jaden was wonderful! read more

Bad Service, High Prices, hardly anyone there and our server was drinking and very rude.food? what can I say TERRIBLE.

Wonderful ambiance on the north shore of Lake Winnebago. Beautiful facility. Went twice in one week. First visit was great. Good food and great service. Second visit not so much. Had to relocate to a different table due to no contact from wait staff. Food this trip was ok. Service once we moved was great. read more

The venue is awesome after the new owners invested in a big remodel. However the food is mediocre, the drinks are so weak they are almost not drinkable, and the service is slow (despite seeing a large number of servers working). We will hit up other locations in the Fox Valley before going back. read more

This place has been around a long time, and in the summer it has always been a great bet with it's location on Lake Winnebago, the Tiki Bar, and the live music. And the food was pretty darn good. Great pizza. Great Philly. And my wife LOVED the Sunday fried Chicken. New ownership now. Anduzzi's. First, an unbelievably fantastic and phenomenal remodel. Truly magnificent. Worth going just for the redo. Service, hit or miss. I know this is especially challenging in this seasonal employment climate. Frankly, mostly good service by young nice people. But when it misses I would not call it a complete disaster, but more of a disappointment. It happens. The food. Here is the problem. Mediocre at best. Pizza before Anduzzi's, one of the best in town. Pizza with Anduzzi's. Done with it. Inconsistent cooking. Inconsistent ingredients (like, sometimes Italian sausage, sometimes mystery sausage... no idea what that was but kind of funky... And let us not forget to mention the lack of pizza because out of cheese... in Wisconsin!?!?). Burgers hit or miss. Perfect or hockey pucks. And... calamari is NOT octopus. So. Beautiful spot. Great construction. More concrete than DFW airport. People will go for location. Food? Eh. read more

Food was great and new building design is nice. Service was prompt and professional. Will definitely return.

The food is awful and so is the management. Also the food expense is ridiculous for shit food

I gave it 2 stars because the remodel looks nice. However the food is not good and overpriced. Took like 40 minutes and it wasn't even busy. Spinach dip cost $12, the chips where stale and the dip had big chunks of cream cheese not mixed in. The Brussels pizza had huge under cooked Brussels sprouts, large under cooked potatoes and very dry. The bar had one good bar tender that pulled the weight of the whole thing. Overall service and food was expensive and not good. Drinks were reasonably priced. Rail was $5 on a Friday and middle shelf was $6. read more

Cool vibe! Friendly staff. Belly up to grab a cool beverage then wander down to the shore and recline in their awesome chairs with attached beverage holders and soak up the sun while you watch the waterfowl. read more

Stopped there on a quiet Saturday afternoon July 23. Bartenders were very slow and not paying attention to customers. 2 of them were doing selfies and one walked by us at least 3 times. Several people came in and had the same issues. I never saw anyone in charge to mention it to. The food we ordered was coconut shrimp/ fries and a burger and fries. The burger was great however the fries were soft and oily so they had been sitting for awhile. The shrimp looked great (dark brown) however after biting in the inside was still soft and doughy. So I ate 2 shrimp and a few fries for $15.99. Did I complain no but the bartender looked at my basket and had this look on her face that why did he not eat it. But she never asked me how it was. You will have a great place when it is done but if that is the food you offer and the service you provide your business will never be good. Advice for management train your staff to acknowledge people as they arrive if they are busy let them know you will be right with them instead of ignoring them. For the food get a chef who knows what food should be sent out cooked completely. read more

We went here for a celebration of life in a private banquet room. The service crew was very friendly. The food was mediocre. I wish they had a little more shade outside as we were all drenched in sweat. I bet this place is amazing in late spring and early fall read more

Food is mediocre. Prices are above normal-- they are pricing themselves out. $8 for a pint of Spatan Oktoberfest.? $6, yes, $8, you're nuts. read more

Loved this place! Visiting from Florida and they wanted me to experience the full bar/packer game experience and I am impressed at nice and attentive the staff was! Prices were good (compared to Florida) and lots of free games/drawings. We won about $150 altogether and they give free shots when the Packers scored and half price appetizers during the game. Wish I remember our servers name she had glasses and tattoos and piercings and she was awesome! I recommend highly and will be back every time I visit! Oh the Broasted chicken on Sundays is excellent!! The sides weren't great but the chicken made up for it. read more

We ordered our first round and ended up waiting 25 minutes before getting it from the bar ourself. Ordered a steak and it was cold on delivery. We had to ask for silverware. The manager, Keven, offered a round of beer to make up for hungry patrons out $135 for a cold meal that we provided our own wait service. Hoping other businesses see the opportunity here. Last time coming this way! read more

Was there the first week of March 2022, Very disappointing service & over charges! Ordered the haddock and a artichoke dip, they came out with the dinner and then told us they were out of the dip, we could order something else but the wait was all ready 40 minutes ! Why did they not come out earlier and tell us? Then paid for the bill with a credit card, ( fee for cc use added ) left the tip on the bar in cash but they still added another 20% tip to bill ! read more

Stop here for lunch, had the chicken wrap, could not find the chicken, it was mostly lettuce and diced vegetables. Over priced menu for what you get. read more

Place has potential but they've got terribly slow service. Were out of multiple items on the menu and food was cold.

Nice in there but I liked it before the remodel. They should look at putting some money into their parking lot too. Never seen a place with so many potholes and ruts for a parking lot. We sat at the bar and took a few minutes to get a beer. Girl was nice but didn't have another as watched others struggle to get another drink so we moved on. Hope they just had an off day as I like their view there. read more

I haven't been here since the remodel, and I'm really glad I gave it another chance. The interior and food quality are greatly improved. I'm a nachos snob, and the chicken nachos were excellent. The best part of the experience was our server, Natalie. She's a new server, but she handled our large table of 7 efficiently and made great suggestions, pointed out some of her favorites on the menu when asked, and was very friendly. Great service is hard to find, and Natalie was fantastic! read more

Perch tasted like chicken and it was over breaded. The homemade chips were good and I'm still enjoying them today because they gave me so many but at the end of the day it's not worth it for $19 read more

We dined at Waverly Beach last nite and left disappointed. My friend and I both ordered deep fried haddock. It was some of the worse haddock we ever had. It was so tough we had to cut it with a knife. It arrived at our table a little too brown and much quicker than we expected. We both wondered if this was leftover haddock that had been refried in oil to heat it up. If we go back again it won't be for the fish. Also be aware that they add a surcharge for using a credit card. We used a gift card and ignorantly put the rest on a credit card. They charged us the 3.99% surcharge on the entire bill, not just on the portion we put on the credit card. Do the math to make sure you are not getting ripped off. read more

april 21 2023 went to see the band , nice updates, my husband had a wrap chicken that was soggy on the inside with no flavor, over priced, white claw was $7 , i can get 12 for 14 and a liquer store. wont be going back any time soon. read more

Came here because of the great atmosphere and food. Haven't been here in over 2 years. The building has been significantly upgraded but so disappointing that the got rid of there fish fry. This is Wisconsin everyone eats fish on Fridays. So ordered the perch sandwich! We got 1 very small piece of fish that covered half the bun. Very disappointed read more

If I had the ability to give negative stars I would. They are under new management as of this past Friday, and apparently their goal is to make them go out of business as quickly as possible. After being served watered down drinks and waiting an hour to order food because we were told the kitchen was too backed up to take any food orders, we were then told at about 5:45pm on a Friday, that they could take our order but it would be about another 30 minutes before it could actually be submitted and oh by the way, we don't have any perch, walleye, or shrimp! On a Friday in WI at 5:45pm, you don't have perch, walleye, or shrimp!?!? Really?!?!? We then decided to go eat somewhere with fish (!) so asked for the bill for our drinks only to discover that we had been charged $1 for the simple syrup to be added to brandy for an old fashioned and another $1 to have a margarita on the rocks vs blended... so essentially, got charged a buck for ice!!!!! Never again! Steer clear! read more

Perfect location and view of the lake--great walleye fish fry. This place also hosts wedding receptions so don't let the full parking lot of cars take away from this great place to eat; ether inside bar&grill or the outside lake view patio! Enjoyable evening of good food. Friendly staff. read more

This restaurant has recently been updated and they did a wonderful job! Very spacious and added garage doors that are open in good weather. The restaurant sits right on the lake shore. The staff was good. The menu is fine. Not overwhelming. The food was good. Crispy fries and nice Captains burger. The prices increased as has everything else. The credit card convenience fee was a surprise. Glad it is posted but hate to see another charge on the tab. You pay and tip at the table with staff holding the device so you either compute the tip quickly or touch the recommended button on the screen. read more

The pictures in their menu are totally deceiving. I ordered the lobster rolls. The picture in the menu shows 3 on a plate and you could see lobster in them. I ordered them and only got 2 on my plate and did not see or taste any lobster. It was full of cream cheese and a little spinach. Very dissappointed. It was a beautiful day and no waitresses on the patio. Had to get your own beverages from the bar. I did notice that somehow people ordered food on the patio and the manager was the runner to bring the food. Love eating out on the patio when weather is nice. I think they need waiters and waitresses and a busboy to clear dirty tables. read more

The view on the lake is great. But... the food was absolutely the worst. First, sitting outside near the tiki bar, you could only order off the very limited bar menu. You could order a few more items as take out from the restaurant, which is in the same location. The food was really cold. I ordered a perch sandwich and there was only one tiny fillet, covering maybe one third of the bun. New owners. Not anything close to the previous owners quality. Don't bother going. read more
