Once we were ready she had our table already prepared. We have to order inside first before you can be seated. Once seated our food came out not too long after. Everything looked and tasted delicious! We ordered the chilaquiles verde, short rib omelette, tropical pancakes (seasonal), and the mango curd french toast (seasonal). The chilaquiles verde was savory and tangy. It wasn't soggy at all and definitely one of my favorite dishes. The short rib omelette was savory but didn't give me any wow factor compared to the other dishes I ordered. The tropical pancakes were so pretty. I only tried a piece of it without the syrup which I think was a mistake because the kumquat syrup was my friend's favorite. I definitely need to try it again with the syrup. Best for last, mango curd French toast was my favorite! I fell in love with sweetness and tanginess of the mango curd. The French toast was soft and you can taste the butter. I wish it was a main menu item. I'll definitely be sad to see it go. They have lots of seating inside and outside.

Our server was really attentive and checked in frequently at first but was less attentive during the meal itself (e.g. no water or coffee refills). The food is okay- what youd expect from a diner. The meal started off with some warm and fresh conchas, which set the the tone for a meal. But the meal itself tasted like it was made from pre-made or canned sauces, so it was a little disappointing because of the tone that was set with the complimentary conchas.

We were sat and someone had taken our drink order and came back with our drinks. The table sat across from outside (in the separated patio) was being taken care of by Nate. At this time we did not know he was our server so we waited for our server. We waited for about 15mins. Nate had gone to the table about 2/3 times with refills and to take their order. We waited about another 5mins when he finally took our order. He immediately left after taking our food order, my husband didn't have the chance to order the ice coffee he was eyeing bc Nate had left PROMPTLY. The food came out quickly, which was dropped off by him and another sever. And that was it. He never checked in with us. Never asked us if we needed anything but repeatedly went to the table across from us (literally 3 ft away) to check up on them and refill their drinks. He finally dropped off our bill. As I've written this review he has refilled their drinks 5 more times. Our cups have never been refilled or our table taken care of at all.

Overall, Pop's Cafe is a solid, reliable breakfast spot that we keep coming back to.

The ambiance is bright and refreshing, restrooms clean, and plenty of parking in lot(formly the Sizzler). I happen to attend on a Monday evening for bingo it was really fun! I won twice that evening, your first card is complimentary with a $10 purchase of something, thereafter, the cards are $5 per game. You get to spend a winners wheel for lots of prizes, including cash! Now I ordered a pastrami sandwich, and when I tell you it was disgusting, it was awful, the meat was fried to a crisp,I thought it would be steamed pastrami meat(my bad)! It also came with grilled onions,if you happen to go for onions on your pastrami sandwich. I chose sweet potato fries, which tasted like they were cooked in meat grease! Just horrible! I will never order that again! Will I return and try other items from the menu, yes, the pastrami sandwich just isn't the right choice for me, you may like it lol! With that being said let me know you guys thoughts on it when you go!

At a cafe trying to have a more elevated brunch vibe, that just felt cheap and disappointing. Overall, I still appreciate having places like this in the area and maybe we just caught them on an off day, but the food quality didn't really match the experience we were hoping for.
