We had an excellent dinner @ Waterscapes this evening. We are staying at the Marina Inn. Our first night we wanted to stay in, this was a wonderful choose. The Char Fish was excellent. The bread arrived with a Madison jar filled with; goat cheese, olive oil, some rosemary and roasted tomatoes, I really enjoyed it. The Crab Cake was also delicious. I didn't care for Bloody Mary's but I was told the shrimp cocktail with Bloody Mary sauce was very good. It was a wonderful dinner and highly recommend for anyone staying in the Marina Inn or just visiting Myrtle and looking for a great dinner evening out.

Complimentary bread with that amazing spread!

We came to Waterscapes for a nice dinner out for our friends 30th birthday. We wanted nice and fancy, and that is exactly what we got. Located inside the grande dunes marina inn, is this tasteful restaurant with a wide range of delicious meals. Most of the meals on the menu offered were seafood. However, this is was the marina inn, so I didn't expect anything less. We sat down and received complimentary bread, with the best spread! It was olive oil, goat cheese (YUM!), sundries tomatoes, fresh rosemary and fresh thyme. It was so good, I want to try to create it at home myself. I ordered the seared salmon for dinner. It was absolutely amazing. I finished my entire plate which I normally don't do when we go out to eat. The salmon was cooked perfectly and laid on a bed of wilted kale and a pile of green lentils. I can't talk more highly of this dish. It was just that great. I'd go back just to eat it again. It is pricey in my opinion. My fiancé and I got the salmon dish, a chicken dish, and he also ordered one glass of wine. I skipped the alcohol that night, we did not get appetizers, nor dessert, and the bill came to $75 for the two of us, not including tip. But for a rare occasion and a nice place, I enjoyed myself a lot.

This place is why God gave us tastebuds! Visited in the off-season, so we were seated immediately. Shared a shrimp cocktail that was so good, with a very tangy cocktail sauce. I then had the pork entree with fingerling potatoes and arugula and it was everything I hope it would be! Fabulous flavor, tender to cut yet a little crispy on the outside. Hubs had the small filet, which was also tender and flavorful- no steak sauce needed! Splurged for dessert on the chocolate mouse cake and vanilla lavender creme brûlée. Both were perfect and a great end to a wonderful meal. Service was spot-on; Sharon was our waitress and she was very nice and attentive. Price-wise, entrees started from $22 and up. It was an expensive dinner, but overall one of the best meals I've ever had in MYB.

Celebrating a birthday, server Chris really knowledgeable about the wine. Confit duck nachos were amazing, salmon, scallops and filet mignon. Food was amazing. Service impeccable.

We had a wonderful meal at Waterscapes! The clams w/ pasta, and the pork chops were amazing. Apps and dessert were yummy, as well. I recommend this restaurant for it service and atmosphere.

Delicious burrata with tomatoes and parmesan crostini

We absolutely loved the food here. It's easy to miss, being in the basement of a hotel, but the food makes it worth seeking out. We had the burrata to start, the pasta with white clams, and the ribeye. The one thing that I didn't like about our meal was the roasted fingerlings that came with the ribeye. They were way overdone and we barely touched them. Besides that, everything was great and the service was fantastic! We took a stroll around the property afterward to try and work off some of our meal. If we make it back to Myrtle Beach one day, we will surely return to try some of their other dishes.

Narrow menu, but the food was great. Stephanie did a fabulous job taking care of our large group. A hidden gem.

Visiting from out of town and wanted a great meal to end it well. After searching and searching…read moreonline we came across Aspen Grille. I was a bit skeptical because we passed it a few times on our way to different places in town, and from the outside you couldn't tell that it served upscale cuisine. But it had great reviews so we took a chance. Ambience: The inside was dimly lit with an old school feel. Reminds you of an old school New York establishment from the 80's. I liked it. It had a welcoming feel and I noticed there were at least two regulars the staff greeted. Food: We ordered an appetizer of calamari and the short ribs. Additionally, I was going to get the salmon but they had a special of red snapper with lump crabmeat, green beans and rice. The food was delicious. The calamari was one of the best I have ever tasted. The addition of the fried peppers complimented the dish well. They were nicely fried and seasoned. Very light crust which I love. Sadly I didn't get a chance to taste the short ribs because I was just too enthralled in my dish. The snapper was perfection! Everything on the plate paired well together. Also, if you're not going for an alcoholic beverage, their freshly squeezed lemonade is so refreshing. Service: I'm truly bad about remembering names and as is my usual, I don't recall the name of the waitress, but she was truly attentive and nice. She was also knowledgeable about the food and patient. Truthfully, all the waitstaff seemed genuinely kind towards the patrons, which was nice. If I am ever in the Myrtle Beach area again I will definitely be going back. Loved it!

My husband and I went to Aspen Grill to celebrate our 42nd anniversary. It's not a huge restaurant,…read morebut that makes for intimate conversation. The food was incredible -- I had a filet mignon, green beans and mashed potatoes, and it was all perfectly cooked to order. My husband had short ribs and said they were wonderful. We also had cocktails. On hearing we were celebrating our anniversary, our wonderful waiter Paul got free champagne for us. The meal was not cheap at all, but considering we spent $60 on a breakfast buffet somewhere else (and inflation in 2026,) we knew that was coming. Definitely the place to go to celebrate. It was an experience to remember!

We each picked a couple items, and at first I was skeptical about how well such a mixed menu would come together. That skepticism didn't last long. What's impressive is how they manage to cover different cuisines and still execute them well. The shishito peppers came perfectly grilled and paired with an amazing sauce that really elevated them beyond a typical appetizer. The meatballs felt like something straight out of a family kitchen comforting, rich, and reminiscent of grandma-style cooking. The shrimp scampi was another standout: flavorful, well-balanced, and not overdone with butter or garlic. But the real highlight of the night was the pistachio espresso martini so smooth, creative, and easily one of the most memorable cocktails on the menu. Overall, it's a great spot for sharing plates and trying a little bit of everything. It turns what could feel like a scattered menu into a fun, consistently solid dining experience.

Lovely restaurant and the cocktails are tasty and creative. We had the Lavender margarita which was very good. We had a variety of the tapas offerings and were pleased with each one. The chorizo dip was somewhat overcooked, and we ate it all. The meatballs, potstickers, and flatbread did not disappoint. It's a nice place to take out of town guests for a change of pace.
