However, as soon as I tasted the smoke salmon on the everything bagel at the Water's Table restaurant on the ground floor, I knew I would be back at least 2 more times! The smoked salmon was very tender, nicely seasoned and, as you can see from the photos, a generous amount of salmon each day on the bagel! This place has the best lake view of any restaurant in the Puget Sound area. Simply breathtaking. The ambiance was nice. We went early and there were couples and families. We went to Hyatt to enjoy a drink and food at the dock but arrived late as it was closing. No big deal. But, if you get a chance enjoy a drink dockside. It's a nice experience. Since we wanted to get a bite to eat We went upstairs to Water's Table and couldn't have been more disappointed. We opted to sit at the bar since it was wide open. From there our experience went downhill. Though the restaurant dining crowd was thinning out, and the bar was adequately staff it took well over ten minutes for any bar staff to greet us or ask us for a drink order or food order. We had to request service ourself from a bartender who was talking to a passing server. Once we ordered, the food came out fairly quickly and was good, not special considering the price. We ordered the Brussels Sprouts ($15.00) and the Snake River Farms Wagyu Burger ($29.00). We asked that the burger be cut in two since we would be splitting it. While eating and talking to an out of town guest who was seated next to us we again had to flag down a bar tender to ask for another wine since no one bother to inquire if we needed anything else After we finished we requested our check and reviewed it and noticed a $3.00 charge for "cutting the burger in two and serving it on two different plates." Really, Hyatt Regency!!! I get your brand is upscale and you have a nice location but isn't this charge and little ridiculous and a little greedy on your part. As for my review: Try the Dockside for the view but Water's and Table......I'll give it two stars for its poor service, average food, and ridiculous service charge. read more

But incredibly expensive for the amount of portions they gave us for our entrees it was almost impossible to be full from our food everything we ordered came out to only 2 bites of us finishing them entirely. Bottomless Mimosas are the only way to start a sunny Sunday and no better place to do that than Waters Table! Went here just for the bottomless mimosas but actually ended up also enjoying the food. The fried chicken and french toast with Woodinville Whisky Maple syrup and hot sauce infused butter hit the spot. They also allow you to cycle through all four flavors of mimosas (Orange, Grapefruit, Pineapple, Cranberry) which is worth trying out every single one. While the views are the highlight, breakfast, happy hour and dinner are all amazing. The covered patio outside has massive heaters and can be used almost year round. We arrived by boat and they offer 3 hours of complimentary dock parking. I think they also offer complimentary car parking while dining, but I'm not sure. We came by for weekday breakfast and asked to sit outside. it was open, with just a sun shade that they lifted for us, and many heaters keeping the temperature perfect on a cold november morning. there is also a basket of blankets available if you need one. our waitress was very friendly and took great care of us. we ordered the breakfast sandwich which was a very large delicious portion. the ricotta pancakes were amazingly creamy and delicious, served with a fruit compote. and the avocado toast with poached egg, absolutely beautiful. overall a fantastic restaurant with a beautiful view and perfect ambience both inside and out - don't write it off cause it's in a hotel! read more

We had dinner here for a Yelp event and were really impressed with the beautiful view, the quality of the food, and the professional manner of the waitstaff. We were seated out on the patio where we got to enjoy the most breathtaking sunset over the water. I can't wait to bring the husband back so that I can stare lovingly at him in the romantic light while he completely ignores me and plays games on his phone..it will magical. The inside of the dining room is also very nice with gorgeous lighting and unbeatable views of the water. We sampled some various items off the menu which they were able to modify as gluten free for me. I really enjoyed the ribeye, charcuterie board, and the potatoes. We were still hungry after sampling and everything was so good, we decided to get the beet salad which was well dressed and tasty and the skuna bay salmon which was the best dish of the night. The protein was just perfectly cooked and seasoned and all of the accoutrements were spot on. Gf was relatively straight forward, although they dont offer any special gf bread or pasta options and there are no dedicated fryers. Insanely overpriced. They spent a bunch of money on tablets for the MENU that only serve as fancy picture books. What a horrible waste of money and resources, and it does nothing to make the ordering process better. Whoever made that decsion should feel really bad about themselves. Love this place for many reasons. 1.) There is awesome views of Lake Washington and an outdoor patio 2.) You can valet your car and get 2 hour validation 3.) The happy hour is great! One of the earliest starting happy hours around too as it lasts from 2:30-5:30. 4.) Many choices and assortments of drinks 5.) Good food! I had the WT Burger and also Mac and Cheese. Both yummy. Tried the walnut shrimp and that was really yum too 6.) Servers, bartenders and hostess have always been very nice to me and smiley. I like happy people who do their job with pride 7.) I sat down at the bar 1hr before they closed the restaurant and 30 minutes before they closed the kitchen. I sat at the bar because that's where the best service usually is but not tonight. I sat there patiently for 10+ minutes knowing that they were cleaning and multiple bartenders walked by and ignored me. The girl bartender walked by, look and walked away then the host finally came by after 10+ minutes of sitting at the bar and asked if I had been greeted yet. When I told him that none of the bartenders had greeted or taken my order, he ended up taking my order. For a restaurant this nice to ignore a customer an hour prior to closing is inexcusable. I ordered the Wagyu burger medium which came out well done and an old fashion which was good but a little on the sweet side. After the food was dropped off by another server, not once did the bartenders come by to ask me about the food nor to refill my water. I was expecting much better service than what I received. The bartender only came by to drop off the water, old fashion, utensils and a check. This is by far the worst service I've ever had at a bar. Is this the new standard of service? read more

Recently visited for the first time for brunch. We were seated out on the patio which gave a gorgeous view of the lake and provided overhead heaters as well. The food was delicious. The menu itself was quite simple but the food was made really well. We ordered the wild mushroom omelet which came with skillet potatoes, toast, and a mini jar of jam. The view was great. We were able to see seaplane lands on the lake, sailboats, and wildlife. The food was yummy. The free parking was a pain. It required you to scan a QR code, enter your license plate and a credit card number in case you exceed the time limit. This was hard to do given the internet was so spotty at the restaurant. I had come to watch the 1:00 M's game and the BARTENDER (working at a bar) had no idea what channel the Mariners are on? Ok. This restaurant is beautiful and in a prime location overlooking Lake Washington within the Hyatt Regency. I would LOVE to rate the restaurant higher because I loved the wine list and the view and was truly hopeful of having a wonderful seafood dinner here while dining with 12 of my colleagues for a business dinner. Our manager had made a reservation here and after we arrived it was noted we could not do separate tabs for wine or drinks at the table , ( our company was picking up the dinner tab so we were on our own tab for drinks ). That was a HUGE pain as we had to wait at the very busy bar for our drinks and walk them back to our table when wanting a simple wine with dinner. Nextly, I have several allergies but usually can work around them at seafood and - or steak restaurants; apparently not here. I started by ordering the Dungeoness Crab Cakes and the Pear Pomegranate Salad .. about 5 min. after ordering the waiter came out and told me the crab cakes were made with soy and I needed to order something else. I was disappointed but didn't want to hold up everyone's food order so instead of really taking the time to peruse the menu again , I ordered a clam chowder to go with the salad. A few moments later , here the waiter came again and said the chowder also had a soy base; I could not believe it. He said I should just order some plain grilled prawns to go on top the salad or the salmon , BUT I don't love salmon and it was $50 , a little expensive, IMO for salmon. I was so embarrassed, as my colleagues were now all aware there was an issue with me and my order. I asked what I could eat and he said 'basically , that's it' . So that's what I ordered. A few moments later he and the chef appear and the chef apologized, which was very nice and he said he would grill me a salmon without the sauce to go on top of the salad , but that's it .. the dressing was also soy based. Literally NOT anything on the dinner menu was without soy and not only was it disappointing, it was embarrassing, and it held up the entire order ! The back and forth of the drinks because of no separate tabs was also ridiculous. Later we had a wine at the bar and the manager who seemed nice at the beginning charged my friend extra on his wine but said it was on the house when we paid as we went .. BUT we all were getting duplicate checks ! Was too much .. it's a great restaurant and bar area with a beautiful view but the service is lacking and not being able to work around allergies isn't okay. read more

I arrived on time and waited at the front desk for 10 minutes only to be greeted with no apology or smile from the hostess who when she was about to walk me back to the patio was miles ahead of me and out the patio door before I got there. No conversation or welcome. A lazy and uninterested attitude to be there. We gave the restaurant another chance to be seated at the patio with some friends on a beautiful Seattle day. A lovely hostess this time but our server was terrible. Our drink orders were constantly mixed up and took a while to be corrected. I appreciate when you have many tables to wait on, especially on a Saturday night but never checked on us or asked us if we wanted refills on our drinks and more wine. Never checked on to see how we were doing period. At the end I had asked for a to go bag for our 3 boxes of food. She had replied, "we don't have bags but I think there are some out back I will check" I fail to see how an expensive hotel that has restaurants attached don't have bags to carry out food in boxes that don't close properly. What a disappointment. The area is really nice on the waterfront. The hotel is new and gorgeous. The restaurant has wonderful windows that really frame the view. However, the food and service was terrible. We decided to have the brunch buffet. The buffet tables were poorly lit as if they didn't really want you to see them. The food was the stereotypical bad hotel buffet. Everything was old and stale. The bacon was sitting in a pool of fat and the sausage was all shriveled up. The scrambled eggs had an odd chalky texture as if they had added something else to it. The pastries were the only thing that I enjoyed. The service started out fine and our server was very friendly. However, everything was really slow. The omelette that we ordered took a good 30 minutes to arrive and we were pretty much done eating at that point. Getting the check took a while because we couldn't flag our server. The final insult was that there was a mandatory 18% tip even for our small party of 3. read more

Great view, attentive server, and flavorful food! We stayed at the hotel with a group on the 4th of July and really enjoyed ourselves having dinner here. The 6 adults were on one end of the table on the patio, and the 6 kids on the other end. Our server was excellent! Not once did he make us feel like our kids were a burden. Us adults had cocktails and really enjoyed our food. I do have to say that the cocktails were weak. Cute, but weak. I ordered chicken wings, a cheeseburger cooked medium rare with a salad, chicken pesto pasta, chicken with veggies, and a kid's chicken fingers with fries. Everything was amazing! We are regulars here and am surprised why reviews aren't higher on Yelp. I've never had bad service here. Food is well prepared, presentation, and taste, decent portions. Only sometimes the food is slow to come out. Prices are comparable to other hotel restaurants....and of course, you're paying for the fabulous real estate! The view of nature: waterfront, mountains, birds (a pair of resident bald eagles often easily sighted), AND airplanes, boats, and Seattle city view on the horizon. read more

We ordered the Korean fried chicken wings for appetizer which were die for. The wagu burger was a little on the rare side but very tasty, the side orders of shrimp and broccoli were excellent. I wanted to order the chicken but they were out so ordered the pork chop but had everything else that came with the chicken and it was outstanding. The pork chop was tender and juicy and I finished the whole damn thing. The salmon was done to perfection. The desserts I would say we're just okay which was very disappointing because I hear they're all made in house. The earl gray crème brulee was good, not great, but the bergamot shortbread tasted nothing like bergamot. The chocolate lava cake, so so. Location Location location location Restaurant is located at Hyatt on lake Washington overlooking spectacular water and Seattle skyline view! We caught an incredible sunset and it was breathtaking to sit and watch it all from the comfort of the restaurant and amazing drinks! This place is clean, new, classy, elegant and more! Food is art here! Everything we ordered was fantastic but my only complaint is that the menu is pretty limited. I wish they had a bit more options! The good news is, whatever they serve, is absolutely fantastic! So I guess that's the perk of having limited items Service was immaculate! Went here to celebrate an anniversary. We were super excited since we rarely have time to go out to dinner lately. We had reservations at 7 pm and arrived at the host stand at 6:30. The host said our table was not ready yet and asked us if we wanted to sit at the bar and she suggested we could just eat dinner at the bar. We said we just wanted a drink and wanted to keep our reservation for a table. Since we were celebrating I wanted to have the full experience, I don't want my feet dangling and I want to be able to look at my date and relax. I will say, the bartenders were awesome! Very attentive and friendly, available to chat which was nice. 7 rolled around and we asked the host how our table was looking and reminded her that we were at the bar. She kind of almost brushed us off so we ordered another drink and figured we would just keep waiting. We went up again and they said it's not ready. It's 7:35 at this point. We closed out at the bar and I was going to remove our reservation but the host was nowhere to be seen and a super long line at the host stand so we just left. At this point we were starving and a bit hangry lol Ended up celebrating our anniversary at Trenchers at the landing and sat down immediately and got food fairly quick. It's a cool location, I do wish the host would have asked us if we had been willing to sit outside because most of the tables outside were open but maybe there weren't enough servers? Service from server and food provided was quality. On the other hand, experience with hostesses was not pleasant. I made reservations the day prior specifically for outside/patio seating. When I presented a screenshot of my reservation confirmation it only displayed the party size and time. The hostesses were not knowledgeable of whether it would show on the reservation. I was told I only selected indoor seating from their end, but the whole reason for me making a reservation and coming to the restaurant was to enjoy brunch outside. Instead of providing a solution, I received unpleasant attitude, defensiveness, and provided no accommodation or suggestions whatsoever. I asked when the next available outdoor seating would be but the next possible available was in 2 hours. I did not appreciate the service provided from the hostesses. Although the food quality, server, and ambience was spectacular, the experience upon arrival with hostesses stained my experience. Improve the reservation confirmation booking online by adding which seating was chose* or educate hostesses on how to provide better customer service. read more
