It's not clear to me how the Southport development is really doing economically, but this restaurant is still legit being inside the Hyatt and with spectacular views for this area. Parking has been modernized with the plate readers and QR code, though initial registration can be a little annoying. Food is great and I'm confident that the drinks here are decent as well - all the right pieces are in place. It's just highly unlikely I'd ever do business or a HH down in Renton. Service was outstanding - from our waitress to some of the runners and bus boys. They get it.

Stunning views of Lake Washington paired with a. Pretty eclectic menu. They were out of the smoked salmon so we opted for the manilla clams and the fries chicken and French toast. Tha manilla clams were a bit under slated but perfectly cooked. The bread was a bit over charted but when asked they provided another slice for us to gobble up the garlic and juices. The chicken thigh was hammered out coated in a crisp coating, not greasy. There was some sort of orange butter on the chicken but it could probably be skipped as I wasn't sure if it provided anything to the dish. The portion on the chicken is VERY generous as the 2 large chicken piece are accompanied by 5 pieces of french toast. Service was really nice and the space is open and inviting. Great place to stop on the way to or from SeaTac and the offer complimentary 2 hr parking as they are located in the Hyatt Regency.

Six years later and Water's Table deserves an update - but still remains 5 stars! My original review was just for their HH, but I've been for brunch several times since then. My most recent brunch experience was for after my sister's high school graduation. I was tasked with finding the brunch spot for the family to celebrate at (as per usual) and Water's Table immediately came to mind for their stellar menu, gorgeous views of Lake Washington, and let's not forget... BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS. My family was wowed by the view and everybody was happy with their food, which I wasn't surprised by. I had to call and make a reservation as you can't make a reservation for parties larger than 6 online, and they were happy to accomodate. Gratuity is automatically added for a group that size, just fyi. Our waitress was awesome and very personable the entire time during our visit. I will say this isn't the best spot to take kids because their kid's offerings are abysmal, but my son wanted the order of their Ricotta Pancakes. WAY too freakin' big for him as it's a regular adult entree, but he was happy with the amount of powdered sugar on top. My husband went with their fried chicken and french toast which was a BEHEMOTH of a dish. Absolute unit of a portion. It was topped with a spicy butter and I'm not sure how, but he finished the ENTIRE PLATE. So, that should tell you how it tasted. I went with the Crab Benedict and was a little surprised that it was actually a Crab CAKE Benedict, and not with lump crab like I expected (my dad assumed the same). After we altered our expectations we both agreed that it was good. Other table items included the Croque Madame and Three Little Pigs Scramble, all of which was also enjoyed. And remember how I said bottomless mimosas? You read that right! One mimosa is $12 and bottomless is $22 (if I'm remembering correctly) so I mean... Let the girl math do the talking here. It just makes sense. They have four flavors: cranberry, orange, grapefruit, and pineapple. Pineapple was my favorite - and they do not skimp on the champs. We don't make it here often but it proves to be a consistent favorite. Definitely the spot for a fun summer brunch if you're in the area!

Food was delicious and the service was great. We also enjoyed the water views. Will definitely be coming back.

Really good group lunch experience on a Thursday afternoon. We were in a private room and it was perfect for our gift exchange and conversation. The server was great, really attentive and more than pleasant. The food was a 10/10, everyone agreed! Perfect sizes and seasoned to perfection. The fries/frites are top shelf. Fluffy inside and perfectly crisp on the outside.

We came in 12pm on a Wednesday and it wasn't busy at all. The service was great, our server he was friendly and attentive to everyone. My favorite was the clams, I liked the sauce it was cooked in. Not too buttery, still light and flavorful. I like the bread they served with the clams. The fried halibut is cooked well. The steak was also cooked decent. But overall the food here is 7/10 for me personally. I wasn't the biggest fan of the tacos, it was lacking flavor. The sauce for the tacos was a bit bland as well. I think this spot is great for views of the lake and just to catch up with friends or a little simple date with your partner! I'd definitely do a summer time sunset dinner here though, I'm a local to the area and the sunset here is gorgeoussss.

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency and gave this place a try for breakfast and dinner. Their waterfront view is absolutely gorgeous. You get to see few airplanes from Boeing which is little different than usual waterfront restaurants. Their breakfast and dinner was delicious. I tried pancakes, a fruit bowl , charcuterie board , onion rings and salad. The service was excellent for all the days I've been there.

It has been years since we last visited. Years ago, I remember the place being bright with a neutral color theme and the food quality was just okay. Coming back, its dimly lit, they have iPads for menus, the place is a bit quiet, and the food tastes much better. We ordered the pork chop and salmon. Our friends ordered the linguini and salmon. Our friends noted the food was great. My pork chop was juicy. The husband's salmon wasnt dry at all and had good flavor. We also ordered the Grain Salad as an appetizer. We mostly finished our main dishes, but boxed the Grain Salad to finish for another day. The waitress who tended to us left us alone for the majority of the time and came to us when we needed to order, question the food/check up on us, and when we were ready to go. Parking is the only big con but i will not put that against the restaurant. There is a $0.99 service charge fee on top of the free 2 hour parking. We were about 20 minutes late of the 2 hours and were charged about $4 for it. Overall, I recommend Water's Table. Just keep in mind of the parking garage fee. There is side parking available alongside the hotel and apartment complex next door, but it is very limited.

Still a great place, great view, great foods, great drinks, great services, and great folks. Sat outside for late breakfast that rolled over to lunch without moving so yea, I felt that comfortable that I didn't moved much at all.

Great late night spot with my girlfriends on a hotel staycation. Alejandro was a gracious and professional server. Loved the night view of the water, comfortable seating and iPad menu (every single item had a picture!). Price point a bit high ($20 for a salad and no meat..) but the food was delicious and service top notch.

Devina was a wonderful waitress listen to our concerns and recommended different beverages for us to try.

Water's Table Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Water's Table

Does anyone know if they allow dogs on the patio?

We are pet friendly in our guest rooms but only allow dogs at our seasonal restaurant dock & drink.

When it's cold out, is the patio covered and have heating? The only available tables for valentine's day are in the patio.

The patio is indeed covered. There is also heating out there; if they have the clear plastic shade drawn and the heat on it can be quite comfortable. I have dined out there in December with no issue in those conditions.

Do you still offer the brunch buffet? It was last asked 5 years ago and a lot of places have done away with them

We do not offer a brunch buffet any longer no

I am coming from Houston and want to try out your brunch on Saturday. Do I need to make a reservation for 2 people?

I recommend yes! It does get busy and you probably want to secure your spot.

Do you take reservations and if so how many days in advance can I make that reservation?

Yes, they take reservations. Depending if it's a special occasion you should a least 3 weeks in advance. Don't forget to put in the request for a window seat. Lake Washington view is absolutely beautiful!

Do you still serve bottomless mimosas?

Yes, they have bottomless mimosas for brunch with purchase of food. And there's currently (as of 5/20/22) a two hour limit so they won't let people hang out all day drinking.

Since the Hyatt is Pet Friendly, do you allow dogs on the outdoor seating area?

Simple answer no because per Washington State law animals are not allowed in any food establishments which the outdoor dining area would fall under. Especially since you'd have to pass through the main dining room to get to the patio. That said… Read more

Do you have tents and heaters on the patio?

The patio has a roof and there's heaters attached.

Is there a kids menu?

No, they don’t have a kids menu.

Do you guys serve Brunch Breakfast Buffet?

Yes, there’s a brunch buffet served on Saturday and Sunday.

Does anyone know if they serve happy hour on the weekends?

Water’s Table doesn’t have a happy hour. They have a bar menu which is available on the weekends, but not like a dedicated happy hour.

Is the back deck available for rent per hour for events like a baby shower?

Yes, it is.

Is there any parking available other than the valet parking? I appreciate the answer, but are there…

Hi Virginia, Currently we only have valet parking available. We validate up to 2 hours. Hope to… Read more

Is your brunch on Sundays a buffet or a brunch menu?

Hi Heather. We offer a breakfast buffet until 12PM, and have a brunch menu available until 2:30PM. Please let me know if you have any additional questions!

In my previous review I admitted that it wasn't my favorite kind of fried fish. This time I ordered fried shrimp with the optional salad. Six large shrimp with a large salad. Wonderful. An Asian woman sitting near us gave my friend a dirty look because he was talking loudly so I could hear him! We moved outside for a beer and more conversation and this is where we will eat next time. I have to add how personable the staff and owners are. The fish burger was fantastic. Perfectly cooked, incredibly fresh tasting, and one of those sandwiches where after the first bite you immediately know someone in the kitchen actually cares. Easily one of the better fish sandwiches I've had around Seattle recently. The chowder was the only thing that held me back slightly. For my personal taste it was a bit more watery than I typically prefer, as I usually lean toward a thicker richer chowder. That said, the flavor itself was excellent and honestly overcame most of that initial thought after a few bites. What truly stood out though was the service. Absolutely fantastic people here. Genuine, attentive, welcoming, and the kind of staff that makes a place memorable beyond just the food. That level of attentiveness and care honestly feels rare nowadays and they deserve full marks for hospitality alone. Overall this place left a very strong impression on me. Great seafood, quality ingredients, and a spot I'm genuinely looking forward to revisiting soon. I can already tell this may end up becoming a regular stop for me after another visit or two.

It's split by region, which is cool - I am not familiar with Vietnamese regional cuisines, so scrolling through the menu is a learning experience for me. - Northern crab rolls: 2/5, felt a bit heavy for an app - Beef skewers: 5/5, really nice sauce - Golden pho pillows: 4/5, interesting concept and I liked the pillows - Water fern cakes: 4/5, another interesting concept - Hanoi pork vermicelli: 3/5, generally good but didn't feel special - Fish sauce caramel coffee: 5/5, I quite enjoyed this Overall, the food was good. Recently, I kept hearing from people that it had gotten a lot better, which is why I decided to bring my mom here for Mother's Day since she loves Vietnamese food. Overall, I would still describe this visit as pretty mediocre. It was not terrible, but it was definitely not worth the price point in my opinion, especially after spending over $400. There were a few dishes I genuinely enjoyed. What we ordered: Liked / okay: * Pho-spiced ribs: tender and flavorful, but expensive for what it is * Lemongrass pork belly: the standout dish. Crispy, juicy, and very flavorful * Shaking wagyu salad: the beef was tender, but it needed more salt. It could benefit from some more oyster sauce or fish sauce * Water spinach with garlic: Good * Southern pork egg rolls: Crispy and enjoyable, but the dipping sauce tasted watered down and lacked flavor Didn't really enjoy: * Clay pot fish: overly sweet and quite fatty. The fish itself was tender * King salmon sour soup: also very sweet. It needed more acidity and sourness, like tamarind * Villagers pork belly: the only noticeably salty dish. It had a strong porky fermented flavor that was good, but it really needs rice and fresh vegetables like cucumber to balance it * Lemongrass clams: fairly plain. The dipping sauce was the same watered-down sauce as the egg rolls * Calamansi margarita: extremely sour and overpowering * Spiked coconut with rum: it was warm, which made it less enjoyable Overall, most dishes leaned too sweet for my taste. Southeast Asian food is usually a balance of sweet, spicy, salty, and sour. Here, the sweetness often overpowered everything else. There were also quite a few items sold out when we arrived around 5 PM. I was not sure if they had been sold out for a while or just for the evening. As for service, ordering is done through an iPad. The first one to two rounds of food came out quickly. However, anything we ordered afterward, like extra rice or additional sides, either took a very long time or never came at all. We also tried using the call function on the iPad, but no one came over. I am not sure if they were short staffed or if the system was not being monitored. The restaurant itself was not busy at the time. Since many of the entrées are meant to be eaten with rice, this disrupted the flow of the meal quite a bit. At one point, we just ate everything without rice because we were hungry and did not want to keep waiting. That said, the staff we did interact with were very kind. Overall, I do not think I would come back for a full dinner again. I might stop in just for happy hour drinks and a few small bites since they have a nice water view!
