As a Foodie in SWFL, finding a restaurant that is consistently good is a challenge. I've been visiting the Watermark Grille for over 10 years and have NEVER had a bad thing to say about the food or service. I'm laughing at these review about the decor. It's Naples, people, not South Beach of NYC. Who cares? It's clean and fits the theme of the restaurant. I absolutely LOVE the saginaki. Not many American places have this tasty appetizer and what's even more enjoyable than eating flaming hot cheese, is watching potential heart attack victims (aka other diners) grab their hearts as the flame ball is lit and "OPA!" is exclaimed. This appetizer is delicious and entertaining! I was just in on Saturday night, I had King Crab Legs. Worth every bit of $49.99 because they were large, pre-sliced and succulent. The service is always great. It's one of the only places that employs a bona-fide waitstaff who is attentive. You are never left sitting at the table wondering "where the hell is my server" when you need something. They are always there, checking in and smiling. Even the hostesses are thoughtful. One of the double doors was propped open, and the hostess who was eating in the first booth ran over to the door to open it. Now that's impressive. Why have "phone ahead" reservations when they still tell you 30-35 minutes when you arrive, the same as they tell everyone else walking in the door? Well, let's start with the positives: All items on the menu are priced below average, especially in Naples. The outside looks nice, with adequate landscaping and parking. Service was fast and attentive. I'll get I to why in a minute. Now, let's get into the negatives: This place is a retirement home. I have nothing against our older generation, but I know when I stick out. The decor fits the bill and hasn't been updated in a decade at least. The good is bland, not seasoned, and I'll be damned if the vegetables and fish weren't frozen and then pan seared. No wonder the food comes out fast when it seems anyone could buy the entire meal in the frozen food section and heat it up as a TV dinner. Overall: I've eaten at plenty of restaurants, some have been expensive and some have been budget, but please think again if you are expecting a tasty meal here. When we got our check we were upset at how much we spent since the only reason we came here was to an expensive bill. Looking back at it, we wished we had spent more and had a decent meal. Went back the other evening to give one of my prior enjoyable restaurants another chance to change my mind. I ordered a New York Strip steak dinner. Service was "outstanding" . The staff could not have been better. However, a $34.00 steak should be a lot better. So, from now on if I prefer a steak I will go elsewhere and enjoy my meal. The steak I had was cooked properly, and the steak was sufficient in size. The problem is the quality. The steak lacks taste. My wife had a shiskabob steak dinner and she also complained of this lacking flavor. This review ends my visits to a once memorable place to dine. I find there are just to many great other restaurants providing a great steak dining experience to waste my time giving Watermark another chance despite their wonderful service. read more

I dine at the Watermark 3 or 4 times a month and the food is Excellent and there is plenty of it on your plate!! WE always ask to sit in Beth's section and the SERVICE is OUTSTANDING!! If you go to the Watermark and do NOT sit in Beth's section then YOU have made a Mistake!! Make sure you save room for the Brownie delight!! The French onion soup was awesome but our entree, Chicken Oscar was on the luke warm side, it was tasty but would have been better if it were served hot. We would have sent it back but the waiter did not come back to see if everything was to our liking. After we went there friends told us they were there the day before and they said they had the same issue. I can't rave enough about this place! Amazing food, fast and excellent service! We got the saganaki and calamari appetizers, Saganaki was fun and tasty, the calamari was perfectly cooked, simple but great! My husband said the filet medallions and lobster from the special surf and turf were excellent and I loved the crab cakes with the delicious and unique creamy lobster sauce! I also got the side Caesar, which once again, was excellent! We couldn't pass up the delicious desserts, I'm sure you can't go wrong with any choices there! This place was busy but they keep turning over tables as fast as they can, but you don't feel rushed! Great for bigger groups, bring the whole family! Totally disappointed. I don't have one good thing to say about this restaurant. If there was a negative star rating I would have used it. I went there with my parents, wife and son on lobster night. Four of us ordered the baked stuffed lobsters special. They were so bad we could finish them. The kitchen had obviously stuffed and baked the lobsters days before, then put them in the freezer until they needed an order. When our orders arrived they had obviously been microwaved. The meat of the lobsters was dry, over cooked and so hot you couldn't eat it and the stuffing was still frozen. My son ordered the prime rib and later became stomach sick that evening. This restaurant is without a doubt one of the worst restaurants that we have ever eaten in. The next day I sent an email to the manager describing our meal the night before as I just did and never got a response from anyone at the Watermark Grill. Went for dinner one Saturday evening. SERVICE WAS FANTASTIC! Food was good, and fairly priced. My fiancée had the seafood pasta, and I had the shrimp scampi. Big portions! The icing on the cake, were in fact the desserts. Save some room for dessert! The only improvements I would like to see is a bigger beer selection and a cocktail menu along with the wine list! We walked as its close to our hotel, not knowing what to expect. What a pleasant surprise. It's so pretty inside. We were seated immediately and had the friendliest server. I wish I could acknowledge her by name but I just don't remember. I had the chicken Oscar. I love chicken, love crabmeat, but asparagus- not so much. They happily replaced mine with broccoli, and it was a very generous portion. So much food we had leftovers to take back. Our server provided us with plastic cutlery so we could eat it the next day in our hotel. It was so good that my sister wants to eat here one more time before we leave. So, we'll be back! read more

If you're looking for a great restaurant with fair prices in the Naples area, this is the place to go! They offer a wide variety of seafood, steak, and pasta dishes! I was very impressed with this restaurant and their service was exceptional! I was staying in the Naples area for Christmas eve, and was scrambling to find a restaurant that would accommodate a party of 10. Every other restaurant I called was either closed, not accepting reservations any longer, or could not accommodate my party size. The minute I called The Watermark Grill, they told me it would be no issue at all, but did advise me to get there early, between 4:30pm-5pm, which was perfect. Upon entering the restaurant on Christmas eve, we were seated immediately as our table was prepared before our arrival. Our waitress Beth, came to greet us and took our drink orders. We were seated at a lovely table next to their large windows, and everyone was comfortable. For appetizers we ordered 2 plates of Saganaki (flaming fried cheese), Brie en croute, shrimp cocktail, and a Caprese salad. The appetizers were great! Everyone enjoyed them. Beth did a spectacular display of the Saganaki! For entrees we ordered the seafood pasta, seafood platter combo, chilean sea bass, lobster tail, salmon, and mahi mahi. My seafood pasta was delicious! There were large pieces of lobster, shrimp, and scallops. My great-grandfather loved his mahi mahi, and my other grandfather devoured the salmon. My dad had the seafood combo and said it was great! Those that ordered the chilean sea bass liked it, but were a bit disappointed with its size. It was quite small. Over all though the meals were good, and had great flavor. The prime rib is so good it practically melts in your mouth and the homemade creme brûlée, I never miss it even if I am stuffed to the brim. We've been patronizing the Watermark Grille since 2008 and enjoyed the atmosphere and food there, however, that changed last evening. Right away we noticed that there were no adults running the place...all were kids in their early twenties. The proprietors used come around to each table to ask about the food and service and ensure everything was top knotch, but none were to be found. If they had come around I would have asked if the cook was on vacation and had been replaced by one of these twenty-somethings who last worked at McDonalds. I can't articulate just how bad the food was...everything...appetizers and main course. Nothing met the previous great standards this restaurant used to have. read more

We were part of a very large party late yesterday afternoon and were surprised and absolutely delighted by both the food and the attentive service at this obviously well-loved local restaurant (the line was out the door when we were leaving at 6PM). I had the best London Broil I've ever had and my companions were equally impressed by the salmon and chicken Marsala. Don't skip desert (I almost did). Key Lime pie is spectacular as is the hot hot apple crisp ala mode. It was our first visit and we can't wait to go back next time we are in Naples! PS---Make sure you go early if you can. read more

Our extended family has been coming to Watermark for over a decade on our vacations to Naples. The food, service and atmosphere are consistant and we are always pleased with our visit. They have a nice selection of meals and desserts and offer specials. Although the magician is no longer on staff, our kids still love eating there. The wait staff is excellent and very accommodating to our large party. One of the three owners is always on site which obviously contributes to their long success. The chicken Marsala was very good and pasta was excellent The Buffalo chicken rolls were delightful. The crab cake app was mediocre at best. Caesar salad was not great but was just fine. My husband and I found this place and we were excited to give it a try. He had the ahi tuna that was seared and seasoned well. I had the baked seafood combination plate that was to die for. We also had the baked Brie as an appetizer that melted in your mouth. We tried the blue mule that was also tasty. We enjoyed the food sooooo much that we came back a second night in a row. My guy had the beef short ribs and they were so tender that you could cut them with a spoon. I tried the stuffed shrimp and it was so good I closed my eyes with each bite. I must admit I was surprised that the restaurant who serves such great food wasn't busy. The only negative thing I have to say about this place is it's too far from San Jose, CA and I know I will crave the food here. Thanks again Dean and Amanda who were great serves. We had the BEST Thanksgiving Day meal here that I almost hate to tell everyone but Watermark deserves to know how awesome their turkey dinner was and the pumpkin pie was the best!!!
