    BEWARE - Poor customer service and dishonesty…read more We bought an LG refrigerator from Canadian Discount Appliances, 808 Courtland Ave E, Kitchener, on January 26. About an hour later, we called to request a refund after finding a better option at Costco with free delivery. The store said a full refund was not possible because delivery was already scheduled, but they agreed to refund $50 back to my Mastercard to match Costco's free delivery. Delivery was scheduled for the next day between 8-11am, and we specifically requested a 15-minute call before arrival, which was agreed to. No one called. At 2pm, we were told deliveries were delayed. Around 4:30pm, the delivery driver called yelling, screaming, claiming we didn't open the door--despite never calling ahead. His behavior toward my husband was rude and unprofessional. As of February 6, the promised $50 refund back to my Mastercard was still not issued. When we called the store, the manager was hostile, made false accusations, refused to listen, and hung up. The store manager made statements that were untrue to justify refusing the $50 refund. Very disappointing experience. Poor communication, unprofessional conduct, and unresolved refund. Save yourself the headache and shop at a reputable big-box store instead.

    This review is based solely on my interaction with localproappliancekitchener…read more What should of been a simple dryer installation by a professional. Turned out to be anything but. Prior to this LP (Local Pro) coming to our home, it was made clear the service we expected and wanted. A new dryer coil was to installed, as it was made clear there had been condensation issues with the old coil and with a new dryer coming we wanted the new coil. LP lifted the coil glanced inside and said it was fine. I said we wanted the new coil again was told it was fine. There was no diagnostic check done by LP after installation. Later that day when we went to use the dryer it gave off 90% blockage error. I reached out to LP and informed them of the issue. LP reply was as follows: Because it was a vent issue and not an installation issue. And proceeded to inform me of the cost to have him come back out. I mentioned to LP if the new coil was installed as we wanted this would of been avoided. Since we where already financially invested in this service we decided to have them come out again. Today I went down to do laundry I could feel a lot of heat coming from the dryer and blowing from the back. Come to find the coil was not connected properly to the dryer and was dangling. I reached out to LP and Informed them of the issue along with a video showing it was not connected. Yes LP offered to come out at no fee to correct. However at this point, I decided no more.

He was quick to figure out the issue with my dryer, and made sure my house wasn't going to blow up from a gas leak (which wasn't even the issue, yikes!). He was also very kind to answer all my annoying questions :D If I have issues in the future I wouldn't hesitate to book another repair. Thanks for a great experience, and fixing my dryer! I'll try not to leave "plastic" in my pockets ;p

    Canada Computer is like a candy store for nerds, and computer enthusiasts. If you've just read a…read morereview about a computer products, don't want order it online, and can't find it at your local Big Box, chances are very good Canada Computers carries it. There are three main reasons a deducted two stars. 1) Their pricing used to be a lot better! In all fairness, this could be a reflection of our weaker, which at time of this review is trading at $0.72 (ouch). That being said, I've been able to get much better pricing on parts from Best Buy down the street, by taking advantage of their Lowest Price Guarantee - it does work, and they do honor it. 2) Return Policy. It's downright awful. Many products have a 5-20% restocking fee. In 2016 - seriously? This has been their policy since the 1990's, and they to change it. 3) Staff. They have some awesome, helpful staff at this location, while others are downright zombies (The Emo kid at video cards/hard drives comes to mind). Definitely worth checking out, and as I mentioned you can find just about everything, computer related, here. Just be smart, and do your homework before purchasing. By the way, they do offer an extended warranty on many parts, but the price can really add up if you're looking at high-end parts. For example, I paid $199 for three years warranty on my new iMac. I paid Canada Computers nearly $700 for my PC rendering machine.

My wife purchased a…read morerefurbished computer and bought the 2 year extended warranty, after 3 months the computer started freezing and slowing down, then stopped working all together. We live 2 hours away from the store so we called to let them know what happened. We eventually got the computer to the store a few weeks later. After 3 weeks they called us back to let us know that THE COMPUTER COULD NOT BE FIXED and that due to it's age the would only give us a partial IN STORE CREDIT. We asked about the warranty we had purchased, and they told us that it was not their store policy to replace defective equipment. We told them we wanted the warranty cost replaced then, and were told they couldn't do that either. This is the most underhanded and dishonest company that my Wife and myself have ever dealt with, I don't know how they haven't been sued out of existence. BUYERS BEWARE OF FRAUDULANT PRACTICE.
