Days later, I got a cold, robotic email telling me it wouldn't ship until the week of August 11 --the kind of company that takes your money and then tells you to wait for two months for a kettle! I told them outright their service was unacceptable and that I'd never shop with them again. They didn't bother to respond. Weeks of silence later, the kettle finally showed up on August 7 -- a few days earlier than " the week of AUG 11", as if I should be grateful for their "generosity." Absolutely laughable. Purchased a fridgidaire fridge. The sales staff at the Brantford location were very helpful. However the fridge is defective and the service office does not answer the phone. After 3 days of waiting (without a fridge) I just want to return the fridge if it cannot be repaired quickly, but the service department is still not answering. Our journey with TA began last year in November. I patiently researched reliable dryer brands and models. And you confirmed my understanding Huebsch was the way to go for reliability. We had saved our money and were ready to invest in a dryer that we could depend on. We welcomed our second child in the middle of November 2024.We purchased a dryer at the end of November. We received it in December. So far so good. The dryer stopped working. We contacted TA for a repair. We had to do some chasing, but they honoured the warranty. These things happen. It was the worst possible timing to be without a dryer, the beginning of winter with a newborn and toddler while living on a dairy farm. But temporarily, we would persevere. Our home looked like a shanty town with drying laundry everywhere. I didn't have the mental or physical capacity for the situation, but it was supposed to be temporary so we made do. We waited and eventually were told that instead of a repair, we would receive a new dryer. We waited some more.....and then received a new dryer. Perfect. But it wasn't to last. Soon the dryer wasn't functioning. You would set a timer, it would spontaneously turn off. You would set up a load and the heat would turn off. Sometimes it worked. Sometimes it didn't. More hanging laundry. We waited a long time for a repair man. And a longer time for a new control panel to arrive and then be installed. Finally we were set to go again. But it wasn't to last. Our new control panel has the same problem as our first dryer. Back to a non-functioning dryer. With a 10 month old baby. And a four year old who just started junior kindergarten. On a dairy farm. I have loads of laundry every day. I have no access to a laundry mat. Due to the farm, I can not hang laundry outside due to flies, odours, and my severe dust allergy. I realize that none of this is your fault. It's just the product. And maybe plain bad luck. But I am in tears. I am so done. The dryer that I carefully researched. Patiently waited for. And save for. It has never reliably worked. It's been almost 10 months of this. And there is no lasting solution provided. No interim fix. Just more waiting. And more hoping that maybe this time things will be different. Meanwhile the days tick by on our warranty. This is absolutely miserable. I am so disappointed. read more

Was contacted to say that TA was handing the problem off to their distributor since the had found out that it was under warranty. Distributor called, asked for pics, said they'd get back to me. Absolutely, ridiculously terrible salesmanship. After a promise of an appliance to be delivered within 3 months we get a notice email from TA (Terrible Appliances) just after the time period stating that delivery was set for Saturday and make sure somebody is home and the existing appliance is disconnected, blah, blah, blah only to find out nobody showed up and after calling the store was told the email was a mistake and the appliance would be another three months before delivery. Having now paid the full amount , over $4000. for this appliance we got fed up and dealt with Visa to cancel everything. Having to wait a few weeks to see whether TA would try to make amends, they did nothing, absolutely nothing, so we received a refund through Visa... take note of only using a credit card as they won't even refund the deposit unless you buy insurance for that. Please do your research before being an appliance here. We sure wish we did. Here are some reasons for our low review: - when my wife bought our stove, dishwasher and stove exhaust, she witnessed several frustrated customers and a sales person that was downright rude to customers and walked out on them. We chalked it up to COVID stuff and dealt with another sales person who treated us pretty well. - we ordered the pieces and waited for them to be delivered. We needed a stove ASAP as ours had fried. - delivery was horrible. They delivered the wrong stove. Did not hook it up or install it (as was requested on the invoice) and did not take the old one as we had paid for that. Took many days for them to take the old one after repeated arrangements made and waiting around for them. - could not get a hold of them to discuss the wrong stove! We used it as ours had died. Finally they agreed it was their issue and would send a new one. They never did. - after weeks of waiting and with no communications, we got frustrated and called to cancel the dishwasher and the range hood. Decided to keep the stove as we determined they wouldn't send us one as promised. - left many messages with TA and the sales person to get a refund and no replies. Finally did but they needed the original credit card number. - tried to give them the number many times (no one answers the phone there as it is automated). Finally got a hold of someone who wouldn't help, but my wife threatened to come to the store and wait all day if needed if she couldn't get it processed on the phone. I bought a brand new Amana refridgerator on July 4th 2019 for 1100$. On August 8th 2019 the refridgerator died. We have phoned TA appliances, they claimed they are not responsible and passed the buck onto Whirlpool. FYI. You sold me a sub par product with sub par warranty. It is now September 8th 2019. Then to find out the bbq cover we needed we were rudely insulted by a sales rep in the little booth by the Weber covers saying if you don't wanna pay 100 there's a cheaper store for your kind down the road!!! I have extended warranty for the multiple products I bought here and I've not had great experiences when I've had to use them. Currently it's been over a week and I've had no reply for someone to call me and book a service call, my dishwasher is not working and I'm still waiting for a call just to book my appointment. The communication is horrible, I was hung up on by the receptionist Samantha and when I tried to call back they don't answer and it goes straight to voice mail. Not very professional, she also argued with me that I was wrong and it's not 24-72 window of the service provider responding to my issue even though I have this in an email from the sales representative. Very disappointing to say the least you would think they would want repeat business but it doesn't appear that way. Now I just sit and wait for who knows how much longer to get it fixed. DISASTER! I ordered appliances on September 29th, 2020 and told they should be in by late December. My delivery date is on February 5th, 2021 and I called January 20th, 2021 to pay the final payment to find out 2 of the 6 appliance are in. I went into TA Appliance yesterday after my fridge stopped working in the hopes of purchasing a new fridge. I walked In and 4 employees were sitting at the desk talking. No one stopped to greet me or ask if they could help. I walked around the show room for 15 minutes. I saw various sales persons in their cubicles on their phones. Again...no one looked up, greeted me or asked if they could help. I was the only customer in the store. After 15 minutes, I left. I will add that I previously purchased a dishwasher and washing machine at TA but clearly customer service has gone waaaaay down hill. This all the bad reviews. Very disappointing. We renovated our kitchen in 2019: purchased refrigerator , wall oven, cooktop, dishwashe, microwave and beverage cooler. Over $8000 worth of appliance. Bought the 4 year extended warranty on all but beverage cooler. after Delivery we noticed the fridge freezer door was damage. Then a drawer inside was cracked. Had to get new door and drawer. The cooler came later and was damaged had to send back and get new one. A year and a bit later the fridge would not cool and freezer didn't work. Had to go through warrant. Took 3 weeks to get service repair on it. And after it was still the same. Another 2 weeks for another service call. Decided it was not repairable. Going to replace. Several calls to TA and a week later they have a fridge for me. Now I have to pay $90 for delivery and $350 for a new 4 year warrant. the after sale customer service at TA sucks, the warranty company sucks. The service technician was very nice. In Short Don't buy anything from these guys. Update on our replacement fridge: Finally get a new fridge, yay!!! Plugged it in after it settled and filled it with grub! Came home the next day to smell of something rotting. A smell so bad my wife puked!,, Pulled the fridge out and put a flashlight to see a dead RAT!!! It was cooking behind the motor called TA, receptionist said everyone was gone for the day at 4pm. Nothing she could do. I had to get the rotting rodent out myself. The most horrible thing I've ever had to do. Made me sick. Hade to open all the windows, spray every can/bottle of air freshener we had around the house and under the fridge. That was a Thursday. They brought another fridge on Saturday. Gave me the delivery fee back and $250 for the groceries we threw out. Oh and the fridge did not have the stainless Kitchen Aid emblem on it. The problem wasn't the manufacturers warranty. The problem was getting TA to do their part in contacting the manufacturer with the information to get our appliances fixed. The service department is worst i have ever experience when you go there make sure you check out service area.. all kids and no one with experience to help ....service manager has no common sense to understand how to service customers.. also you can never get through to contact them and when you leave messages they will not return your call... beware excellent sales service ... worse service department i have ever experienced..get better pricing online from CAS Appliances online.. service is better as well even though itsonline store... purchase over $12k in product but that doesn't matter even if i purchase $10 i expect reasonable services... purchase two RO units one was missing $5 part and when i got through to service they said the that part was not included and i could just return the unit.. When i went to return the unit two weeks after purchasing it they wouldn't return it cause it was missing the part that it wasn't included... they couldn't understand my argument .. i didn't want to return the unit i just want the part.. i contacted the manufacture they were provided the part... there are more details which is to annoying to type out.. just beware of service department I can't wait until i have a more serous problem... read more

I wish I would have read the Google reviews before purchasing anything at TA. If anything goes wrong with your appliance you are on your own. TA sells you the warranty but then leaves you on your own when the warranty is needed. We had to contact the warranty company ourselves, which was a long process, to get a technician out. The technicians the warranty company uses are terrible and when we requested a different gas technician for the next visit we were told there was no one else. My Kitchen Aid gas stove was faulty and a fire hazard. It would self ignite when the oven was turned off. When turned on the temperature would continue to climb and the oven would overheat and there was a burning plastic smell from the overheating of the control panel. We were not able to turn off the oven; only way to get it to turn off was to shut off the gas and unplug the stove. This happened on more than one occasion. The range also blew out our breaker (twice) and gas adapter which had to pay for. I could go on for days about the ordeal with TA and the warranty company to get a replacement stove (from January until April without cooking). We ended up buying a new gas range from Canadian Appliance Source because even after everything we had been through with our range (4 technician visits, back ordered parts) TA continued to fail to help us. I was told by a TA salesperson that my range was in stock and could be delivered in 2 weeks. They failed to hold the stove for me because they wanted the warranty company's cheque in hand first. As a result, that range was sold and the next available was to be delivered in June (almost 6 months after our range failed). TA refused to cover the cost of delivery, installation and warranty on the replacement stove, and even had the nerve to try to charge us to have the faulty stove removed from our home (we were told we would not be refunded for the stove until it was returned to TA but that the cost of this was our responsibility). Customer service continued to tell me it is their policy that the customer pay for all these items- even though I had already paid for them all once on my initial stove. I had to repeatedly ask to be put in touch with the store manager, and when I finally was he did agree to cover the cost to remove the stove, but not for delivery, installation, warranty or to disconnect the original stove to be removed (I needed to hire my own gas fitter to do so). So Buyer beware!!! We are out hundreds of dollars and am truly in shock at how little TA seemed to care. Unfortunately after my experience, we will never deal with TA again. read more

Beware!!! - their website is not synced with their inventory. You can buy something online and they call you to confirm by phone that the order is ready for pickup. When I got there there was never any inventory and they said they always order items after an order is paid for. They lied on the website and the sales person lied when he called me to arrange for pickup. We went to TA because we wanted to support local. They matched the Home Depot price and included assembly and delivery. The first time we used the BBQ we realized that the left burner didn't work. It turns out that TA doesn't warranty their products. Weber has a part warranty so we're now having to solve the problem our selves, Weber will send us parts and we'll have to take apart the BBQ to install them. We're very disappointed as we haven't received any support from TA other than sending us to Weber. It doesn't make sense that a brand new BBQ is treated as though it's okay to deliver it without it functioning properly and they can wipe their hands of it. We haven't received the parts yet so we're not even sure if we can replace them ourselves. This is very frustrating and disappointing. We will never buy from TA again. read more

My husband and I went to this place for a BBQ, dishwasher and stove hood. No one approached us, they were chatting amongst themselves. They didn't bother to telling us that the warehouse closes earlier than actual store. Probably because they wanted the transaction, knowing that some people say to hold it and pay on the day they can pick it up. Right when we paid, the receptionist (they don't pick up their phones) said "oh, no one told you the warehouse is already closed?" Would have been nice to know. We went into TA to look at a new washer & dryer after pricing the same LG products at Home Depot. We waited for 10 minutes to be acknowledged although there was no other customers in that area & several salespeople just standing around. She didn't know the products very well to the point we had to lead her to the better models not the cheapest ones. We even had to advised her to wrong pricing on the display washer compared to their website. After discussing delivery, setup, & removal option pricing which seemed inconsistent she informed us, "She was to busy to play games & had work to do" so she just walked away leaving us in the middle of the department. When leaving we made a comment to TA not being friendly, could care less about customers & didn't care about a potential $3000 sale. Not one other salesman tried to stop us or question why we were leaving. We went back to Home Depot, to find another $100 price reduction on each unit & even the next LG model upgrade. The sales lady was informative & very friendly who also took all the time needed for us to make an informed decision & complete a full sale. So thank you TA for insulting us into returning to HD & a wonderful purchase experience. We would never go back to TA Appliances nor recommend anyone else going there. read more

Really unhappy with our experience with TA Appliances. We bought a GE Profile Gas range from them 3 years ago and paid an extra $255 for a 4 year warranty. Two weeks ago the oven stopped working. We are pretty sure it's the igniter. So we were pleased for once that we had paid for an extended warranty. However when we called for service they couldn't come for over a week. That's a week without an oven, but we thought we'd make it through. Then this last Wednesday, the day the repair person was supposed to come, they said they wouldn't be coming for another week because they didn't have the part. They would *try* to come by next Wednesday. You see , the part is in Toronto. You can order from Amazon in the US and get 2 day delivery, but an appliance store needs two whole weeks to get a part from Toronto. I am really upset that we gave this company $255 for nothing, and even more mad that I tried to support a smaller business rather than Leon's or somewhere that understands customer service. So, now it's two weeks later and we find out they can't come until April 3rd! It's March 20th and we've been two weeks without an oven. Apparently the outfit they sell the warranties to (Comerco) said they might not have the part. I guess 2016 is a hundred years ago in the appliance world and as soon as they deliver the stove to you they destroy any part that might allow it to be repaired rather than sent to a landfill and replaced. I would definitely not buy another appliance from TA and I would definitely never buy an extended warranty from them either. At the outset, the salesperson was very helpful, but as soon as they had my money things went downhill pretty fast. While my stove was delivered on the specified date, they arrived over 2 hours late claiming "traffic". Same thing happened again when they FINALLY delivered the hood fan (almost 3 months after I had ordered it). Granted, it wasn't their fault that the hood fan was delayed, but they knew about a service disruption, but failed to mention that too me until after I called the supplier and told them that I knew about it! Several messages to "Customer Service" and "Managers" got me nowhere. Calls to my sales rep were never returned in a timely manner. It was all quite a gong show. I was a return customer. Customer Service is now non existent. We went to the store to purchase a washer on Saturday April 15th. They did not have any of the models from the web page in stock. We did find one that was just above our price range. They couldn't deliver until Tuesday April 18th. The delivery team installed the washing machine incorrectly. you have 48 hours to report delivery issues. Leah the customer service rep did not answer her phone or get back to us within 24 hours. When they did finally get on the phone they offered repair. They were told not good enough. They called back with we'll replace it, and someone will call you tomorrow (Friday April 21nd) with delivery time for Saturday. At 3:00pm Saturday April 22nd, no one had called, and neither Leah or Joe (the store manager) were answering their phones or returning calls. How odd that April 22nd was customer appreciation day. I was not feeling appreciated. We drove to the store, and got told joe went home early. Best the in store now in charge person Mike could offer us was $109 off the price we had paid. Don't deal with these guys. They have crappy customer service. I still don't have a working washing machine. As if April 24: ta appliances have offered a refund of our shipping fees & given us the 4 year extended warranty. Replacement washer is scheduled for delivery tomorrow. We purchased 3 appliances under the builder discount program 25 days ago. Salesperson called this week to inform us that one of the appliances would not be delivered. A hardware store recommended TA for a start switch for my dryer. I went to the store and provided the machine's model number, after which the parts clerk said that she'd check with her suppliers and call me back. After a few days I called back (as they had not yet returned my call) and was told that my required part was discontinued. I asked if there were any other possibilities for finding one, and was told that there were not. Some time later I figured I'd try a parts store on Parkside Drive in Waterloo. Within minutes they identified the part in their computer, found it in their warehouse, and sold it to me. I asked if the part was old or rare, and he said that it wasn't; they had several in stock. Personally, I don't care all that much that TA either wasn't savvy enough to find my part, or didn't see my issue as worth their time, but the reality is that when I'm shopping for new appliances in the future, I most certainly don't have trust in TA, so will not shop there. read more
