Do your research, then narrow down to a few items that is within your budget. Visit the store, the staff able to do a demo for you and give you advice of which is the best for your needs! I bought a coffee scale (White Bird KC200) from iDrinkCoffee.com in Apr of 2023. It was a very good coffee scale for a reasonable price. However, in Sept of same year, the unit could not be recharged any more. I was able to recharge it once in the time between. I brought it back to the store and asked for a refund or credit, and they saw fit to charge me a restocking fee, even though they had verified that the unit was not taking charge. All good when they dropped that restocking fee and gave me full credit, which I used to buy an Acaia Pearl S (buy once, cry once). I then went on to their website and gave the KC200 a 1 star review, in which I also mentioned that they initially charged me a restocking fee. That was more than a month ago. I just rechecked their reviews on that unit, and my review was not there (even though there were a few 1 or 2 stars reviews from 2022). Hence, don't believe all the glowing reviews on their products, because it is apparent to me that they do not post or have stopped posting less than stellar reviews on their products. They have a very good selection of machines. I definitely will include them as one of my places to shop when it is time to upgrade my machine. I just hope that they are more up front with the reviews on their products. read more

Slawek personally responded to my service inquiries as a first time buyer. He was courteous and professional throughout the process despite it being Black Friday. Him and his staff work hard and late hours as they try to fulfill orders and answer questions. By no means do I have any connections with IDC but I needed to write about their incredible service and fair prices. As an experienced shopper, I am patient and browse all sources for the best prices & quotes. IDC had bundled price packages which were the best-priced by far. They beat out BestBuy and American retailers. I'd highly recommend waiting for Black Friday or Boxing Day if you're in the market for espresso machines. They are a fair business with exceptional turn around and service. I read all the reviews on Yelp and it's apparent that the earlier reviews were 1-2 stars but it seems like that may be due to poor logistics and operations as a smaller shop trying to fulfill large orders across the country and to US. Evidently, Slawek and IDC has improved dramatically over the years as their business grew - their online orders sites is easy to navigate and have no bugs as they have a great online store front. I'm happy with my ECM Casa V bundle with the ECM Profitec M54 grinder! read more

6 weeks of waiting to have a PID installed. I tried to get an update but only received a canned reply that amounted to "We'll get to it when we get to it." They estimated a wait time of two weeks then got indignant when I politely requested an update after the 5th week. Unprofessional. read more

First experience over a year ago, that was rude, with the same staffer. We were discouraged from trying any of the machines because "they would take too long to heat up" We're talking smaller Ascasos and Silvia level machines. Thinking this was an off day, a fluke. We walked out with a semi-auto and a Vario. For the second experience and the one that prompted me to write a review: Hands down the worst customer service experience I've had. Staffer i dealt with was adamant on trying to shift the blame on the customer. I drove for 40 minutes to pick up a machine, called ahead of time and was told that they had the machine (single used machine that is still on their site). I asked the staffer to get it out for me and call me if there are any issues or cosmetic wear with the machine, as it was used. Upon my arrival 70 minutes after the call where i was informed that they indeed had the machine, they told me they didn't have the machine and they likely sold it, rudely and sarcastically asked what i would like them to do about it. I really want to think that IDrinkCoffee is not staffed entirely by people like this, however i will not risk another experience like the one today. Please don't see this as the only place to order coffee gear in Ontario. Avoid at all costs. read more

I just purchased a Bellezza Belona from these guys and am extremely pleased with the prompt service and their great price on the best value in dual boiler machines currently on the market. I have spent the past six months drooling over a number of machines well out of my price range, so when I saw this on sale over the Memorial Day weekend I jumped on it. Slawek's review and the one by Kyle Rowsell gave me confidence that this would be a great upgrade from the appliance grade machine I had been using, and I have not been disappointed. A big plus is the separate water reservoir that lets me place the machine under an overhanging cabinet and refill the reservoir without having to drag a 30 pound machine far enough out to access a built-in reservoir. There are several machines that have reservoirs you can access from the side, but they are all quite a bit more expensive or lack some of the features of the Bellona. read more

Without a doubt, if I had the need for more coffee equipment this is the store I would buy it from. But sadly they have already filled that need and exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds. I had a Saeco espresso machine for years that I used and abused on a daily basis for nearly 10 years in a row. It worked consistently every day requiring only $0.50 in parts after 8 years of daily use. Tragically my tastes for espresso drinks had evolved far beyond the quality of this machine. Even to this day, this machine keeps soldiering on. It simply refused to die, so it's now found a better home with the in-laws. I did some research and discovered that the type of machine I wanted was best NOT purchased from the local dealer in Toronto because they have a horrible reputation for woefully inadequate customer service and mis-representation of used/demo equipment as new. So with a few quick internet searches I found this place. I sent them an e-mail about the machine I wanted (with a competitor's sale price) and they said they would gladly match it, but I should wait because that company was about to revise the machine to make it better and cost less. They made me a deal I simply couldn't refuse and now I'm the proud owner of a fantastic machine. Initially I had a similar experience with many of the negative reviews, but they definitely delivered after I got in touch with them. I made an order and had a lot of difficulty with communication. In their defence it was around the Black Friday season, so things were busy. After a couple weeks of frustration I started to really get on their case and that's when they made a very thorough apology. I have been ordering online for more than a decade and this shop just blows my mind. My online order wasn't looked at for 10 days and I had to call and then It was processed and I was charged. Nothing happened for another week -no email updates- and I had to call. Somehow the order wasn't put in initially even though my credit card was charged. It was then finally shipped. It didn't stop there..the shipment was missing an item -surprise!-. I had to call for the 3rd time. I then received an email stating I got the shipment AFTER I have already explained to them that I did receive the shipment but it was missing an item. I had to call 3 more times asking for it and every time they say they will ship it and nothing. It's been a month and nothing. A discount happened the day after my order was shipped and I asked for it. They were kind enough to say they will provide me with it but I never got it -of course..what did I really expect at this point?-. They seem like nice people but they have to be a bit more efficient with the online ordering otherwise they will easily lose to the competition. Customers simply can't spend that much time doing their job for them. Summary: -If you love wasting your time dealing with a shop that does not ship or process an order for weeks for no reason and then ship with some of the items missing then this is definitely the place for you. read more

No email, nothing, to inform me that they were out of stock of it. But what's most surprising is that you can still order it in the website! I have been waiting for my refund since 2 weeks and that guy Preston Wyatt just keeps telling he will take care of it, yet I am wondering if I will ever get my refund. I feel scammed!!!! I spent over $2000 buying a grinder and manual espresso machine from these guys for a gift. It hasn't even been a year, and the grinder has stopped working. I called the manufacturer and received no response, so I tried to contact these guys to ask them if they can help me or provide a contact to the company for warranty service, and received no response back either. Sure the service was impeccable making the sale, but I wouldn't expect any post service help from these guys, so the rating reflects this. I don't think it would be a lot of ask to provide any help they can provided they recommended a $500 grinder that is now broken. Its the manufacturer's ultimate responsibility of course, but gee, I'm just asking for any help you can give me...a name? a number? anything?? Like so many businesses out there, they are short sighted to not provide their happy clients with post service help and guidance. My experience with after sales service was terrible. I ordered a grinder,which shipped the next morning, and was in my hands the next evening, but the hopper was broken (the packaging was undamaged, so they sent it out like that) So I called them, and they said they would send me a new unit if I email in a complaint with pictures. So far so good...except then I never head from them. Got one guy on the sales line a few days later, and he indicated he had heard about my case, but couldn't do anything about it...and then they wouldn't even answer their phone. A new hopper was finally shipped when I ended up faxing them a notice saying that I would dispute the charge with the credit card company if they did not replace - but never any call, no email, no acknowledgement of any kind from these guys. I should note that I am only writing this review as it pertains to purchasing K-Cups from their site. When you first visit idrinkcoffee.com and go to their K-Cup section, you're instantly blown away by the amount of selection they have listed and available to order. The problem is that there is a great chance you're not getting what you ordered. Despite the fact that they have recently added red text to K-Cup listings that are "temporarily out of stock", ordering items thought to be "in stock" are often out of stock as well. When this situation occurs, and it has happened to me on both orders I have placed with this site, I get an extremely brief email telling me they're out of the item I ordered and ask if I'd like to make any substitutions. "Please advise" is the most help they offer and the emails are signed "Regards, PB". Upon emailing back and asking for an alternative item, I'm left to wait 4 days and then hear that they're out of the item I'd asked to substitute for the original item that was out of stock, despite it being listed as "in stock" on their site. This time they tell me I can wait 'til the following week for the shipment that may arrive. At this point, my order has been placed for a week already and this site boasts of its fast shipping. You're better off ordering from other sites that are more professional and actually care about customer service. read more

Great service, my husband and I literally spent hours with one of their employees going over espresso machine after espresso machine, looking for the one that was right for us. The employee was extremely knowledgeable about all the products and even went and made americanos from each machine to help us decide. Prices are reasonable, we saved $500+ based on the price The Bay was selling the espresso machine for. I ended up going to Milton from Markham to exchange my open-box Oracle Touch which was damaged during shipping. IT was shipped using Purolator and they took more than 10 days to deliver it. Luca, Preston were helpful tracking it down and expediting the delivery. When it arrived with a small dent, the manager Anna offered to pay for return shipping and full refund, or I could bring the unit back for another unit. I wanted to buy some accessories and coffee, so I went to their showroom. Huge place and the staff was great. Will be a repeat customer supporting local Canadian business again for sure!! read more

Very poor after sales service, especially for internet purchases. I bought a refurbished espresso machine from them, and within a few months (well within the warrantee period) the portafilter would come off during brewing. I emailed tech support there, and they said it was an easy-to-replace group gasket, and they would send me one. That was about 42 days ago. Multiple emails were ignored by them. I spoke with the "operations manager" and he said he would email when the part was ordered, and then ship the gasket to me. No contact in about 10 days, and they do not seem to answer their phone (it is now a Thursday at 1PM). Perhaps they are OK if you can visit the store, but if you are dealing with them through the internet, then go somewhere else. read more

They made a small mistake in my order. Within minutes of advising them of the error via email I had a message back and a commitment to fix it. Appalling customer service. I purchased some items by mail order. They changed my order without asking me, and sent me something I didn't order, rather than what I did order. They then spent 4 months saying they would send me the correct item when it became available, despite it still being available for sale on their website. Now they just ignore my emails, and clearly have no intention of honoring their own offer to rectify their mistake. They probably never had any intention of honoring their offer - I suspect 'ignore them and hope they'll go away' is their strategy. Certainly providing good customer service is NOT their strategy! Terrible customer service. DO NOT order from this company. I placed a $600 order with them and tried contacting them several times (it took a week before I heard from anyone). In the end they advised me the espresso machine was out of stock and then another week later they advised me that they will not ship the item to me. To summarize: What I am most frustrated with is that NO ONE from their business even bothered to contact me to advise me that: A) the product I ordered was out of stock (EVEN though it clearly stated online that it was in stock when I ordered it). You would think I would have received a courtesy email, or phone call, telling me of the issue/delay. B) when I finally spoke to (shockingly) their senior sales manager, he was rude, condescending, and refused to help me find a solution. He advised me that the owner is 'dreamer' and he is a 'realist'... And that the item would not be in stock anytime soon. I then asked to speak with another sales associate because I didn't like his attitude, and after much he resistance he abruptly asked if I wanted to speak to the owner, which I accepted assuming I would be transferred, but instead he slammed the phone down and hung up on me!! I was in shock. Never in my life have I experienced such a thing. C) that no one mentioned (until the bitter end) that my ordered would never be shipped out anyways based on a policy they don't advertise. I reside between two different residences for work, and there being a difference in my mailing vs shipping address has never been a problem (I am a frequent online consumer, so I am familiar with shipping processes). It does not state ANYWHERE on their website that this is their policy (I scoured it several time to be certain), so from a consumer stand point this was very frustrating and a waste of my time. Needless to say, it was very convenient that they didn't advise me of this policy until I had put forward a complaint in the end. Very poor buisness practices. This was supposed to be a gift for my husband's birthday, but unfortunately I wasted two weeks with their company and I didn't get it in time. I ended up ordering everything from another company. When I finally stepped to a proper espresso machine that was a wedding gift I needed a decent grinder. I emailed sales and they were able to give me a recommendation for a different model that I was looking at that had better features and was cheaper. I placed my order and shipping was prompt. After using the grinder it had a minor issue so I took it back to the store and got a replacement shipped out. After-sales service failed to meet expectations. I bought an Ascaso i2 grinder and Dream up V2 espresso machine from idrinkcoffee. The grinder was giving me issues as it was unable to grind beans fine enough for the espresso machine (it would just jam). It was sent back twice -- both times, the issue was blamed on my inability to properly dial in the grinder. Both times, it was dialed in by their staff, and both times it immediately jammed when it was returned to me. I was told eventually that it was the fault of the beans -- that's like saying a knife that can't cut an onion is because the onion is too hard! I decided then to trade up to a Mazzer mini. I asked for a price match with valid competitor price and they flat out refused. So I bought my new grinder (from espressoplanet.com), got excellent service and a cheaper price. Old grinder is now an expensive doorstop. Won't buy from these guys again. read more

DO NOT order online from these people! The worst customer experience in multiple aspects. I'll try to detail below. Payments Issue - They charged on my card and never shipped. Couple days later, they told me they cannot proceed with my order, because my shipping and billing addresses don't match. So, I gave them another card that has a matching shipping and billing address. Then, all of sudden, they told me they are out of stock, after charging it on my credit card. So, I'm left with $3,000 CAD charges on my credit cards. Online Order Process - I saw a review saying someone's order wasn't looked at for several days, so I tried to reach out to "I Drink Coffee" on day 3, when I figured my order is still in "processing" status. FAILED. No one answered my phones and left a voice message, but never returned my call. And then, someone told me he would ship it out that day (day 4) and I should receive an email with tracking info. FAILED. Never received an email with tracking info. So, I tried to reach out to them through calls and emails. FAILED. Day 5 and Day 6 were silent. No one picked up my call or email. All of sudden, on Day 7, another person tells me she cannot process my order, because my shipping and billing addresses don't match. I gave them another card and she says she'll get back to me after my credit card went through successfully. FAILED. Never got back to me about it, but my credit card was charged. And then she told me that item is out of stock. To sum it all up - it took 7 days for them to tell me their policy of not allowing different addresses for shipping and billing. It took another 2 days to tell me that the item is out of stock. During that period, they charged me twice on two different cards. If I didn't check my credit card transactions, they sure would've just taken my money. I told them to refund immediately just now, so I'll see if they will ever do the refund. read more

As mentioned in one of the previous reviews, I don't understand where the negative reviews are coming from. My experience is absolutely fantastic, even though it was remote and I could not visit the physical store. It is not easy to order espresso machine 'blind". iDC team was very helpful with selection, answering my questions and comparing different machines. I placed three orders during December: competitive prices (better than Amazon and other online retailers) with the guaranteed price match were complemented by excellent deals/discounts. All orders were shipped promptly (got them in four days during super-busy pre-Christmas period), no missing items. I've got Magister Stella E61 espresso machine, and one of the decisive factors was iDC VIM warranty program. This is very important for online shoppers, and based on my research, nobody else offers similar warranty. I highly recommend iDC and will be returning customer for sure. read more

I have a Crossland machine that was broken and i have been unable to get a response from the owner, Bill Crossland, in Seattle. On a whim I contacted "I Drink Coffee" and connected with Kristen who was prompt in replying to my email by stating that he did have the part I was looking for and he could send it out right away. We ended up working out an alternate solution that required me to visit the Milton store and I couldn't be happier with the outcome! I've purchased two espresso machines and one grinder from them and I have had nothing but great customer services. I've ordered by phone and online and the results were the same. My two concerns were resolved quickly and hassle free. They have a great selection of equipment and great prices too. Living in BC and not having to rely on the local suppliers (with an attitude) is an added bonus. Six day free delivery and no PST is really hard to beat too. I would not recommend them. I bought a Lelit PL41 from them and have had numerous problems (leaking and pressure issues/ pour speed issues despite adjusting dose, grind, and tamp in every possible permutation). Numerous phone messages and emails have gone unanswered. Since I bought the machine on line and am not local I can't just show up there and demand service. As a stark contrast 1rst Line Equipment have been super helpful (they are the U.S. distributor of Lelit) even though I did not purchase the machine from them. The true test of a company is how they treat you AFTER the sale. Idrinkcoffee disappoints in the extreme. read more
