We always have a good meal here. Also there's hardly ever a wait, even during season! My husband especially enjoys the lobster tail and prime rib and I enjoy the blackened shrimp or fish dinners. Their beer rolls are something special too...not your ordinary bread basket. read more

We had the Prim Rib tonight and it was fantastic. Very juicy and tender. Our waitress was Alex and she's a great young lady!

Excellent coconut shrimp. Generous portions. Prices were not ridiculous. All around great experience.

This is one of our favorite places for casual dining in the Nokomis/Osprey area. The menu is extensive and no matter the size of a group, everyone can find something they like to eat. The prime rib is really good - every time I order it. Regarding the service, I can honestly say that we have never had a bad experience over the 7 years we've visited the area. read more

Excellent dinner and a great view. The owner came over to check on us and made sure we were enjoying our experience. Highly recommended! read more

First visit here...started out with a missing hostess. She finally showed up and we asked to be seated outside. She said the tables were available but dirty. Hmmm....perhaps they could be cleaned off???? She eventually takes us out and attempts to sit us at a table where the chairs were covered in food. The busboy seemed put out to wipe them down. We ordered the 'special' calamari. $8.95 for undoubtedly the worst calamari we have ever eaten. Clearly the low end of the frozen section. I then ordered the special bourbon glazed salmon and my husband ordered the fried shrimp, both with mashed potatoes. The salmon was tasty, the shrimp was decent. However the mashed potatoes were cold and covered in a thick, dark gravy!! Who uses dark gravy with seafood dishes!? Awful. The waitress was the only positive in the experience. Definitely will not be back. read more

Tried this restaurant for the first time. Early bird specials were ridiculously good. I had prime rib which was very generous portion. Came with two sides, all delicious. Fresh rolls (I think they're called "beer rolls") were very good. My husband had fresh haddock and a friend had the Mahi. The most expensive meal was $19.99. Definitely will go back. read more

I don't eat here often, but I have only had one meal I did not care for (very tough and grissley steak.) It is difficult to carry on a conversation when they are busy as there is no sound abatement in place. The food is good, the proportions are ample and prices reasonable. Don't be in a hurry and you will be satisfied. read more

Had a very nice meal on the back deck last night. I had a bourbon glazed salmon filet with rice pilaf and my husband had steak kebab with rice pilaf. Both were very good. Service was great. read more

I ordered the shish kebab. I was really looking forward to the grilled vegetables. Instead I got over cooked mushy vegetables. Not grilled , just a pile of mushy mixed vegetables. No tomatoes. Please remove from the menu or do not call it shish Kebab. The meat was tough the baked potato was over baked and burnt crisp. Bread was great. Service was good. Probably not going back To many good choices nearby. read more

My girlfriend wanted steak tonight for dinner after the races and I knew my friend Eric owned this restaurant. I checked with him to see if I needed a reservation to which he said don't worry that we would be taken care of. From the time we arrived everyone knew we were coming and his entire staff took excellent care of us. The best person who made our evening the best was his father. He had us laughing the entire time and it felt like family. The meal was absolutely perfect. I had the prime rib which was fantastic and my girlfriend had the ribeye which felt like butter. The ambience was very cozy and this will definitely be a go to restaurant anytime we come back to Sarasota. It was a perfect meal and the staff and my friend's father made it an everlasting experience. Do not pass this restaurant up anytime you're in the area. read more

Food was over cooked and flavorless. I sent the brown, overcooked lobster tail back to the kitchen. After receiving the new one it was still flavorless and overcooked. I ate part of it just to get full. The waitress didn't discount the bill. My friend didn't get the green beans and had to ask for them to be removed from the bill. My husbands fish was overcooked but he ate it to get full. We will not be back. If I had known about the nasty comments that the owner makes on this site, I would have NEVER brought my family here. So....FYI to the owner, you'll waste your time commenting on my post because I'll never see it or read it. So have fun... read more

Busy, but got seated by owners daughter, all staff work together as a team / family including owners, ordered the top choices and sirloin, was absolutely tender and cooked to perfection, prices are very fair. read more

We went to Waterfrontoo to try the prime rib - their signature dish. Our reservation was on Saturday night at 6:30. After a delay getting seated, we ordered around 7:15. They were already out of prime rib, on a Saturday night. Two people in our party ordered one of the specials, but they were out of that, too. So 5 out of 6 in our party could not get what we ordered. The waiter was outstanding, and the service was excellent. They just didn't have the food we ordered. The "second choice" meals we got were just so-so. We were very disappointed, and it appears this restaurant doesn't really care about taking care of its customers. I doubt we will go back. read more

Return to this restaurant last night after not liking it before. Went with a group of neighbors so decided to try it again. I was once again very disappointed. I had the salmon, baked potato, and broccoli. The broccoli was like three days old, the baked potato was old, and the salmon was dripping wet with very little glaze on it. Once again I will give this restaurant a poor rating because of the lack of quality out their food. The waitress was excellent, she came back to the table several times, was Efficient and also kept the water glasses full and asked if we wanted more drinks. I left her a great tip but wish Their food was more fresh. read more

I had been to Waterfrontoo on many occasions with friends and family and had always had a positive experience. Because of this, I booked my husband's surprise birthday party there this weekend. The service was exceptional as was the food and menu choices. We had a private room behind the bar which afforded us the opportunity to socialize. I could not have found another restaurant that would have offered us these amenities at such an affordable price. We will definitely come back! I received only positive feedback from our 21 guests. Thank you to this wonderful staff! read more

Amazing food, amazing staff, and amazing manager! This is a great place to go with friends and family. I highly recommend this restaurant for any night of the week. The surf and turf was out of this world, compliments to the chef. read more

Just decided to try this establishment recently, we pass it often but never stopped. A very nice discovery! We sat outside by the water enjoying both our dinner and bottle of wine. Consistantly enjoyable all around. Pleasant and efficent service was refreshing read more

We had a disappointing experience this week here. Party of 10 at 6:30 on a Tuesday. Service was a bit slow, but we tried to be patient. Many ordered the ribs. Apparently, another server took one of our group's order. We had a hard time getting our server's attention, so one of our party went in-search-of. The missing dinner had to be re-prepared. The owner came over and was rude and threw our server under the bus. To be fair, our missing-entree diner was not charged for the meal. The owner then sent one of his cronies from the bar over to harass the person at our table who had sought out help for our missing-entree diner. We will NEVER go back to this place (I guess there was a reason we had not been there in years). read more

Was open day after hurricane Ian.made sure many people including my family of six ate a hot meal. With no other restaurants open it took care of many people with no electric. They turned no one away in their time of need. A local restaurant with a large family heart!! Many thanks!!! read more

Excellent prime rib and steaks at a reasonable price. Great atmosphere overlooking canal with a happening bar area

Was there with friends last night and WOW! Our first time and we thought it was amazing. Everything was good - the ambiance, the service and most importantly the food. So tasty, fresh and delicious. The large Greek appetizer had some of the best feta and Kalamata olives I've ever eaten, and I have have eaten a lot because I love Greek and Mediterranean cuisine. So I just had to order the Tom's Greek Salad. It was basically the same as the large Greek appetizer (including the red onion, tomato, cucumber and pepperocini) on top of lettuce with a wonderful dressing. Not only was it amazing but it was HUGE! Needed a large take home box to bring what I couldn't eat home for another meal (or more). One of our party ordered the Shish Kabob which looked good and she really enjoyed it. Again, a very generous portion requiring another take home box. On the way out an older gentleman held the door for us and he was holding some papers and a menu. I asked him if he worked there and he said yes, pretty much every night. Said he was the owner and asked if we didn't like our meals. Seemed like an odd question but I told him it was just the opposite, everything was great. Put a well deserved smile on his face. Only wish I would have asked him to put the traditional Horiatiki salad, sometimes called Villager's salad, on the menu. Pretty much what we call a Greek salad but with no lettuce and larger pieces of tomato and cucumber. Who knows, we'll definitely be back and maybe they can make me one if I ask! Opa! read more

I give 1 star because the prices aren't accurate on the online menu and want the management attention. I ordered Rib Eye to go and it states it's 14 oz 18.00 dollars and when I got there to pick it up I was surprised to pay 25.99+tax. That's a huge difference, I mean a couple of dollars would be Ok but this is a lot. It's not like I have no money, people can say don't eat steak if you can't afford it, I can. It's about sort of cheating and have people to come in or just an honest mistake. Either way it should be fixed, menu should be updated because my guess is that this steak isn't only item with an inaccurate price. Steak wasn't bad, and staff is very nice, place have a relaxing and laid back atmosphere read more

Brutal. I'm actually sitting on the toilet while writing this review. Microwaved food and all protein was burnt. My family went and all 7 main meals were burnt with no taste. Can't forget my salad that was drowning in oil. This is a kitchen nightmare. read more

Slooooooooooow service! Extremely slow! When you constantly need to remind your server about what you ordered, someone's not doing there job. Also had the prime rib and after about 30 minutes of waiting for the dish the meal arrived luke warm. I agree with a prior review! Brutal is correct! Highlight was the beer rolls where great! 1 star for that! read more

Very disappointed with service...waited at least 15 min before being met by a waitress....long wait time for food....wrong drink served....waitress apologized and said manager would stop by....he never did and found out from server that he was too busy to see us and gave a credit for 3 ice teas for the inconvenience....Why would a manager not take the time to see us is unbelievable....sorry, will not be back! We were told it was a great place for steak. Both of us had the prime rib. It was dry and chewy at best. Wait staff was appropriate but rushed. Would not seek this establishment out again. Not worth the cost. Definitely not worth the hype. read more

Friendly and brisk service, a large social bar, good if (mostly) unspectacular food, with a few exceptions: the steak kebab is really, really good, tender and tasty meat skewered with fresh green peppers. The New York Strip steak is likewise recommended, good tasty beef prepared the way you like it, and a healthy man-sized serving to boot. The tilapia IS spectacular, a real favourite, and the tuna is also very very good. The helpings are generous; we normally share, and that is more than enough. Sitting outside on the veranda, you have a great view of the sunset and a canal with sailboats. You can also arrive by boat; a recent addition is a dock connected to the restaurant. The meals are reasonably priced, and the drinks likewise. We normally walk here, it's really close, so we have become regulars. Eric, a bundle of energy, runs the place. He is attentive and friendly with the clientele without being pushy. read more

Really good chow. Shrimp and tilapia were superb. Didn't try dessert. Good service and great atmosphere for visiting with friends.

We found their Gyros to be amazingly meaty and delicious. Plenty of Tzatziki and certainly a bargain. Service was friendly and prompt, even though the place was rather full. Very broad menu and difficult choice. We have also enjoyed their prime rib sandwiches! Glad for them that many have found them a great spot for dinner or just a beer at the bar. They really seemed to care if we were pleased with our food and experience. W&A read more

My wife and I sat down at 5:30. At 6:00 we left because no one came over to not even take our drink order. Any server that past us we asked who our server was. They said we will find our sever. Well, we tried this again to no luck! Sat at the bar, My Caesar salad was good but ordered a grouper sandwich to go with a side salad. Fish not cooked and look very unappealing.
