I was pleasantly surprised by this place. It was our first visit. My wife didn't really like it. We tried a huge amount of rolls family style to experiment. All of the rolls were good. I can't say that the pricing is high like others have said, because I liked the rolls, and hard to say if the pricing was too high for the ones we got, some were better than others, so price adjustment made sense. I am not a fan of seaweed roles, so those weren't my favorite ones. The staff was very attentive but it could have been because were there was so few people there. Five star on food and LOVE the private booths for sitting. It is REALLY pricey hence the 4 stars. My husband and I dropped in and it was $130 for two to have appetizers and dinner. Meat is tender and flavors are fabulous. This is our favorite Chinese in Utah. read more

It's been a go to place for higher quality Chinese food for me latelY. Sure there are lesser priced ones but I feel that the sauces here all have distinctly different flavors, fresh ingredients and consistently good as well as less oil used to cook than other Chinese restaurants. I can't comment on the sushi as I haven't had that here yet. I especially like the four or five private feeling booths they have here. Service has been great the handful of times I have been here as well. I also like that they have brown rice although there is an up charge on it. Another dish I look forward to here is the moo shu chicken served with Chinese pancakes, not very many places carry this what I thInk is a staple menu item so I appreciate that they offer it. read more

Took my wife out to dinner here and it was horrible. We ordered the family special. It literally had two small pieces of chicken and even smaller pieces of beef. There were two small shrimp a little crabmeat and two scallops. If not for all the vegetables which were undercooked. The waiter was rude. He came to our table to take plates without a word, during the middle of the meal. He even took my wife's wile she was still eating. I approached the mgr/owner and tried to let him know of our dissatisfaction and he just smiled and said thank you. Even when we told him we would never return. Great place if you love rude treatment, or on a serious diet and love wasting money. read more

We ordered Crispy beef it was very sugary almost too sweet for our taste and I love sweet things. The chicken low-main was probably the best I've ever had. Wanton just okay. A bit too sweet with and with a lemon taste. Potstickers were pretty good. The reason for a moderate review is price. Overly priced for such small take out containers. The salad was good although a salad with ranch at a Chinese restaurant is a little weird. The egg drop soup was fine. The service was good. I was greeted promptly. I was sat in a booth which is actually a small little room. It was nice. The waiter came over quickly and my meal was served promptly. I did read some reviews that the service is "short and pushy". I thought the server and hostess were nice, although I think the issue is a cultural thing. My conversations were short and to the point, although I did't take offense to this. ----The Bad:---- Prices. The prices were a little high for what I had. I've been here dozens of times and used to really enjoy it. The last 2 times were very disappointing though , the meat is now tuff , flavorless and more expensive. Service was fast and friendly but the food was just mediocre. My sushi roll was a little fishy - just not a great roll. The salads had way too much dressing although the dressings were good. The egg drop soup was just unnatural. Walnut shrimp was way more breading than shrimp and very few walnuts but I did like the creamy sauce. Food here is great! We got the sesame chicken as well as the orange chicken as well as the Vegas roll. All tasted amazing. Our server was great and made my girlfriend who does not have a lot of sushi feel welcomed and educated on what sushi she would like! We got a booth and it was perfectly in the corner away from everyone with we felt was nice to sit back and talk after a long day of yard work. The bill was very high for the food we got. Terrible. My husband daughter and I went. Husband I each ordered 1 sushi roll with only 5 pieces each and my daughter a kids meal. Her meal never came, my roll was loaded with rice and cream cheese and barely any signs of fish and for these two rolls and two sodas it was $52. The waiter pressured us into ordering right away before we had time to decide what we wanted eve n though it wasn't at all busy. Yikes. It's hard to find good Chinese food in Utah. Very hard. I thought this would be good, but it's not. The food is fresh and good quality, but the flavors are weird and wrong. We tossed out the egg rolls -- weird fish-like chicken and nothing else, no cabbage, carrot or onions. The Mongolian chicken did not have the tang of soy and onion. Strangely bland and unsatisfying. Soups taste like instant soup. The lo menu was good -- just got veggie, and the garlic tofu was good, but the broccoli was over cooked. Costco frozen pot stickers are much better than their dumplings. We also tried orange, sesame, and sweet/sour chicken and all tasted very similar. So disappointing after spending $200 on NYE dinner. I would go back only for lo mein and tofu but nothing else. read more

Best Chinese Food around- the whole family is always happy coming here. The Walnut Shrimp is better than any you've ever had before, hands down. The Crispy Beef is literally CANDY. The cream cheese wontons are not what you are used to- flavor with or without dipping sauce. The house garlic sauce on any stir fry is wonderful. The Cantonese Noodles are the best noodles EVER- based on texture, flavor, and deliciousness that will have you wake up wanting noodles in your cereal bowl. (This is not the first time that I remembered later that I should have gotten an extra order of the noodles!) The sushi has always tasted fresh, and been generous and delicious. read more

I've been a somewhat regular customer of Water Moon for several years. Their register always calls up my previous orders when I call-in. I've always ordered 2x (SS7) Shrimp With Lobster Sauce dinners with the restaurant delivering. I always pay a 15% tip for delivery, considering I live 2 miles from the restaurant. The past few times have been disappointing, with today being a HUGE and final disappointment. While eating my way through the 1st of two 'dinners' (1 per day with left-overs, I'm not a glutton), I counted only 3-4 shrimp! At $16.99! PER 'dinner', I expect MUCH MORE! They've upped their prices by $3 per 'dinner', and easily cut the shrimp down by 2/3rds or more. Their dinners used to be LOADED with shrimp. They're pricing/saving themselves into bankruptcy. For a 2 'dinner' order totaling $52.00 for $15 in 'cost-of-goods-sold', I WILL NOT be ordering from Water Moon again. read more

New to Draper, I was in serious need of good Thai or Vietnamese. Water Moon came up as a place that delivers and was rated well. And they deserve that rating - every bit of it. The appetizer was great, the Kung Pao was tasty, and the desert ('Chinese donoughts') was perfect. My only complaint was that I asked for 'Thai low-to-medium spice' for the Kung Pao and I got American low-to-medium spice. There was a kick but nothing like I was hoping to sweat over. Be that as it may, I screwed up and selected 'pickup' and they were cool about switching it over. My order was delivered VERY fast. Save for the spice level on 1/3 of my order, it was a perfect meal.
