Here we are on DAY SIX since I scheduled the Bagster for pick-up and it's still in the driveway. We live in a major metro. Waste Management gave us a three-day window for pick-up (Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday). I called Thursday and customer service rep promised it would be picked up Friday. Here it is Friday, and another rep says we are NOT on today's schedule. They said "probably" Monday. That would be DAY NINE. They still can't promise it. They also are unwilling to do anything about it. Meanwhile, our driveway is blocked and the HOA is complaining with the threat of a fine for leaving garbage out for a week. The Bagster is also full of rain water. At this point, I'll have to hire someone else to come pick up the trash and stop payment on the credit card. I've repeatedly called customer service, sent Twitter messages, etc. They told me to send them a DM/Direct Message yesterday and then they never replied. What a waste of time and energy. Never again! read more

Could have given zero stars if possible. Very poor customer service. There was just a car in the way and the driver just left without trying to contact me. When I called customer service, thru said that is exactly what will happen every time. Very poor. There are other cheaper options out there. So.. bye bagster!!!! read more

I bought a Bagster to clean up a stoop job I did. The company sent a little truck to pick this stuff up. The guys took a photo and I got a call saying it was too full and they were going to charge me double. Their advertising was misleading. I'll get a container. Bagster=Bullshit. read more

This company was pretty good until i wanted to find a lower cost waste management company and then it went down hill in an instant. Upon receiving my new bins from Twin Bridges which by the way delivered new cans and were extremely friendly and accommodating delivered them on a Monday before Waste Management did their weekly pickup that same day. It must be company policy to refuse pickup when a competitors bins are seen even when my bill has been paid for the month even considering their empty cans were to be picked up that same Friday. Tried to call them after prompt after prompt to be disconnected to try again and after 10 minutes finally was able to speak to a person who then transferred me to someone else. They will play games with you! With so many choices for waste removal i would not recommend them at all. read more

WM are thieves-DO NOT USE THEM!!! They showed up at my house and just left, never picking up my bag and then CHARGING ME 50 bucks. They said my driveway was too narrow. A driveway that I've had full-size dumpsters and flat bed trucks use with no problem. They took off without even contacting me. I called Junkster.com and they came and picked up the bag no problem FOR LESS than WM rips you off for. They were laughing at WM when I told them WM said they can't come up my driveway. In my opinion, WM came, said "it doesn't meet our criteria" (12 ft. wide-which is a HIGHWAY lane width), and took off with no intention to drive up and saw an easy 50 bucks. I called to complain and the woman said to bring it down to the curb, like I'm supposed to drag 2000 lbs down my driveway. Also said someone would call me back. Of course, they never did. See my review of Junkster, com read more

The call center was polite but had no real answer for me. I wish I had read the yelp reviews first. They say 5 business days and sure enough 7 days later (weekend) I get scheduled for pickup. Then they don't take it. I was not here so I don't know for sure if they came at all. And no reason except an email that says they could not take because of 'issue'. there will be a charge to come back for pick up. 1 positive i can say is the bag is strong. The bag was $30 at home depot and the pickup charge was $197. Since they did not pickup due to 'issue' they kept $48 for not picking up. read more

My recent experience with Waste Management and the Bagster was terrible. Last July I filled a bagster in my driveway and had it removed without incident. This year, I filled another bagster and actually moved it a bit closer to the street than I had last year. I called for a pickup. The driver stopped across the street, my wife went to leave the house to move her car, and within 15 seconds the driver left. I later logged on to see that we were charged $50 for a "failed pickup". I then called WM to see why the driver left. I was told that my driveway wasn't wide enough (my driveway is 19' across, instructions said 12' was the minimum requirement), and that there were trees over the bagster that did not give enough clearance, which was completely untrue. I asked for a supervisor to call me back. 4 days later, no call from a supervisor, so I called back. I was placed on hold for about 10 minutes, then told that a supervisor was not available then, but would call me back that day. No call. After several days without a call, I called a third time and was able to speak with a supervisor. He told me a completely different reason for the failed pickup. He said that WM had new equipment and that was the reason why they couldn't pick up the bagster. I was told to move it 12 feet closer to the road and they would pick it up. I asked the supervisor to explain the difference in the truck that picked up my bagster last year. He said he couldn't look that up. I then asked them to send a different truck. He said there was only one single truck available for my area (??!!) which sounds incredulous. I then again explained that I followed the directions on the website, and he said that was just tough luck and I needed to empty the bag, move it 12 feet, and fill it up again. He then offered to refund the $50 Failed Pickup fee, which he never did. I ended up hiring someone else to remove the waste, which cost me more money but was a whole lot better than me having to empty the bag, move it 12 feet, and fill it up again. I also did not want to pay another dime to WM. I wish Yelp would allow me to give zero stars. read more

BEWARE OF WASTE MANAGEMENT!! Waste Management is the most unethical and unprofessional company out there and stay away from any services they offer. Since we moved, I have asked them to cancel my account and remove the bins from property. Its been 3 weeks, more than 20 phone calls and multiple hours of my time and the bins have still not been removed. They say an attempt was made and they could not find the bins. The bins have been placed curbside and I have security cam evidence to prove that no effort was ever made to remove them. They don't want to remove the bins because it allows them to keep the account active. Also keep in mind that the wait time to sign up for new service is less than 30 seconds and the wait time to cancel your account or speak with anyone in that department is more than 90 minutes. I think this tells you a lot about this company. Overall working with them has been an absolute nightmare. Their customer service is the worst. read more

I eschew the Sony creed of pushing overpriced vainglorious junk around the world, that ends up poisoning landfills. So now I have to eat my words, because Sony's taking it all back. Literally. Sony has contracted Waste Management, the largest garbage and recycling processor in the U.S., to recycle unwanted Sony products. FOR FREE. Sony is the only electronics manufacturer I know of to institute a nationwide recycling program for their own junk. They are doing it with little fanfare, and it seems entirely out of goodwill for the planet. Would love to see other manufacturers follow in Sony's lead. Waste Management has 5 locations in Eastern Mass, and hundreds of others across the country. The bin was in good shape and showed up on time. Driver was good and unloaded in proper location. No complaints there. I did a large commercial demo job. One 40 yard bin from Waste Management delivered, filled and emptied cost me $2200.00. I used a local company that supplied a 30 yard bin and emptied it 5 times. My bill from them was $2600.00. I understand everyone is in business to make money but getting overcharged largely has left me dissatisfied enough to write a review. read more

My review is specifically for the Bagster Dumpster Bag service, which we ordered for a property in Natick. I saw these big green bags at Home Depot and the concept seemed pretty great, but I was hesitant after reading reviews on Yelp saying it was unreliable. I'm here to report on how it went. We tried the Bagster Dumpster Bag because it was the most cost-efficient method in our area for removing a LOT of concrete. Local businesses were quoting about $400+ to get rid of our crap, but the Dumpster Bag would cost us about $200. So we loaded up the bag in our driveway. We scheduled a pick-up and waited. Now it wasn't fast, I'll tell you that, so if you need your bag gone by a precise date this may not be the service for you. We scheduled our pick-up for a day, and the bag was picked up about 8 days later. That's about all I can report. No mess, no problems, just a little bit of a wait and worry that they wouldn't come. But they did. Yay! You do have to make sure the bag isn't under a tree or power lines, because a giant crane needs to be able to scoop up your bag. You also can't put yard waste and branches in the bag. If you break their rules, they won't pick up your bag. Basically, don't be stupid and your order won't get ignored. read more

I had two bags picked up today... The driver hit and broke my concrete wall in our driveway and didn't call us or put any note down to atleast apologize. When we called to complain they told us you signed the waiver we aren't responsible for any damage... The end. Never using them again. read more

Should be called "Waste-of-time Management." This review addresses Waste Management service in Acton, MA. Long story short: it was a *colossal* headache and ended with cancellation and full refund. They delivered bins after I canceled because they never delivered the bins... then it was a headache to get the bins removed, and they billed me. Short story long: After billing me to start service, they never delivered trash bins (after two weeks) and never picked up a scheduled bulk trash item that I paid to have picked up (an old mattress boxspring). I called to complain and they promised bins and pick-up. Again, they never came. I called to cancel, and they refunded my money. Then - surprise! - they deliver the bins. I call them to pick up their bins, they apologize and schedule pick-up. They never picked up the bins for weeks. Then I get a bill. So I called this morning and they apologize and say they will credit my account and they will pick up the bins tomorrow. Who knows what will happen? And that's why you shouldn't hire these people. Maybe they serve construction sites and commercial properties well, but residential pick-up is... well, they never pick up trash. We hired MR TRASHMAN which serves Acton. It was cheaper, they came the very next day, bulk pick-up was 50% cheaper and I've had no issues. Go figure. read more

Waste Management took over the trash collection service in my neighborhood almost a year ago. No big deal. I had both trash and recyclables collection service with the previous company, and for a while nothing changed. Finally, after over a month of no recyclables pickup I called them and they told me they had no record of me ever having recyclable pickup service, although they had been doing it for almost a year now, but they would be happy to "start" the service for an additional price. Of course, the price is higher now and I am not getting the service I originally contracted with the previous company, and that they took over, so I cancelled their "service". The kicker is that now I will have to pay them an additional $75 dollars for them to remove the trash container. One thing is for sure. Waste Management cannot manage waste. I will also recommend to my place of employment to cancel their service with them too. read more

do not use wm bagster i will explain. i purchased the bag from amazon, not a problem. i then scheduled the p/u from wm $142. i verified all the requirements, 16ft from street 5 ft from any structure. 1st scheduled p/u 3/4/2020 got an email at 14:45 that day it was being re-routed and re scheduled no reason why. 2nd scheduled p/u 3/5/2020 got email again at 14:15 that day same bs. then on 3/6/2020 i never recieved an email of reschedule, so i called and behold they never reschedule my bag for p/u. then this is the twist, the driver lied and stated" we attempted to p/u bag but it was too heavy and a ditch was blocking truck" there are zero ditches in my suburban neighborhood and i drug the bag to the street by hand so not sure how it was too heavy(bag rated for 3300 lbs). so bag never was picked up...dont waste your time or money with this company. if i could give zero stars or negative stars i would. read more

This entire process is ridiculous - from the price of this service to the terrible pick up communication. We were given a 3 day window, the driver shows up while we were home and then left without knocking on our door. We received an email 9 hours later saying our order is CANCELLED. We called customer support to find out why it is cancelled and that our bag has not been picked up. The driver stated in message to dispatch that the bagster needs to be "out by the street". This was not in any of the information on the website and is now 100% impossible, as it is filled with renovation materials. If they had knocked on the door to let us know of this - perhaps we could have accommodated the situation although it would have required unloading most of the material which is insane. And to top things off we were informed there is a $50 cancellation fee. I will be telling everyone that I know about this insane scam and advising them to tell their friends as well. I will be posting this review on every form of social media available. read more

Don't waste your time or money If I could give 0 stars I would. The rest of these negative reviews are absolutely correct. Waste Management seems more like a scam company after my experience using their Bagster service. We purchased the $30 bag at Home Depot and my fiance and I shoveled almost 1 ton of small rocks from a flower bed that we replaced with dirt. We read through all the rules and regulations for the Bagster pick-up requirements and were well within those guidelines; and scheduled our pick up. When we received the confirmation, Waste Management said it would be 1-3 business days, they arrived after 5 business days and didn't pick up the bag! When we looked at our order there was a notice saying that the driver reported no bag at pick-up location, which is absurd because it was literally laying in a wide open space on our front lawn. We called customer service to tell them this and the lady unenthusiastically told us that we will need to schedule a second pick-up. Fast-forward 4 days and there is suddenly a $50 fee on my credit card for the 1st time they came. They literally charged ME because their driver DIDN'T pick-up the damn bag. I called to complain as the second pick up ALSO missed the 1-3 day mark and demanded a refund of the $50. During my conversation with customer service they notified me that a second driver HAD come by, but now the bag that they somehow didn't see the first time was in a place that doesn't allow for pick-up (too close to a fence); even though we placed the bag far enough from the fence to not have that interfere AND the fence is only 3ft high, and this customer service person say's now I will need to schedule a THIRD pick-up. So by that point I'd had it, told them to refund my $50 and that I will go through another company. I ended up calling 1-800 GOT JUNK, they came out 2 days later and had the whole bag loaded and gone in under 15 minutes. The worst part now is that because of Waste Managements inability to even do the service they advertise, but also can't commit to the timing they say they will, and the stupid f***ing bag sat there for almost 2 weeks, I have a huge dead spot in my once beautiful lawn. Will never use this service again. read more

Got a bag from Home Depot. Took a week to fill it up with yard debris. Called to schedule a pickup. Did it online because no one answered after being on hold for 30 min. Apparently I didnt read the small print because I agreed to a 5 day window from 5am to 7pm. Like how can I possibly stay home for 5 solid days??? She said they usually come on the 3rd day. I requested a 2-3 hour call before the driver gets here. On the 3rd day, they called 10 before he was to arrive. No knock on the door to at least notify me he was here. I had to unlock a gate so they could pick it up. I didnt get the call so he came and left without even trying to get it. I called to rearrange another pick up for the following week and was charged $50 for a trip fee and was told it was going to be waived. It wasnt! And now I have a 3,000 bag in my back yard with no solution! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! read more

I have used this company for the last four years at my restaurant. After signing a contract in October they have raised my rates 40% in 10 months under the guise of increased costs. Do not sign a contract with them, apparently it doesn't mean anything as far as rates go. They suck!!!!! I wish I could give them less than one star. read more

I have been a customer of WM for over a year, I picked them because you literally see their trash cans everywhere including businesses. So, we figured they should be a good company to use. They were a bit pricier than the rest, but I figured you get what you pay for.... Boy was I wrong. We have had nothing but issues with them, last summer we went a month and half with no pickups. We ended up having to go to the dump and pay to have our trash removed. All we got for answers were that they were short staffed and credited a little bit of our bill. They started to do great, so we decided to keep them a little longer. Well now we are running into the issues again. Yesterday I called because they hadn't picked up our trash in over a week, Wednesday is our normal trash day, so I called at 2pm and was told the driver was 50 houses away. Surely, they would be here before 4pm... NOPE I get an email at 5:30 after hours to tell me I was rescheduled for the following day. I call first thing this morning to tell them I want to cancel my trash and I would like a refund from the previous week and what I have remaining. She tells me unfortunately she can't do that due to the contract I signed... WELL they didn't stick to their end of the contract where they said my trash would be picked up every Wednesday and to have my bins out before 6am. I am not one for complaining or being a "Karen" but I am disgusted to have my trash cans outside my driveway for 2 weeks with maggots all over them and to be told "I can't guarantee a driver will be there". Not only do they not stick to their contract they have also gone up in price almost a $100 in the last few months without a single word to the customers about price increases. I am completely disgusted with this company and will NEVER use them. read more

absolutely the worst experience. More expensive for the amount of debris than a hauling company; delays in picking up; did not pick up anyway and then charged me $50 for overhead wires -- did not knock onn my door to ask or move the bag the three feet that their stronger workers certainly could have done faster than myself at 5'1" and 130 pounds. The bag spills and does not contain well. The only small advantage is you can fill slowly over time. But if no one picks it up and charges you anyway, who cares? BIG thumbs down. read more

Thanks, Waste Management. It's clear that whoever delivered this container really didn't care about the placement and didn't consider whether we'd be able to open the dumpster door completely. When I called to see if someone could come reposition the container, I was told it would be an additional $215 to have a driver come out, even though it was their error. This seems like very poor customer service, given that I'm a repeat customer and have already spent over $2,000 on previous rentals. Will not be using WM again. read more

I just got scammed! If it doesn't meet their approval and then no one wants to tell you how it was violated, they charge 50.00 alone for a service fee, each time. I packed it. I have a broken leg, disabled and I am 64, how much weight could I put in there???? read more

WM does not pickup Bagster when they say they will. Over a week since they said they would pick it up. I get email in morning saying they are picking up today. Will never use this service again. read more

Don't even bother using them. I bought the bag at HomeDepot. Read the instructions on where to place the bag and to schedule pickup. So the only place I could leave the bag was on my driveway. Couldn't leave it near the curb because of the trees. Website recommends scheduling on the internet vs calling. So I scheduled a date. Got "they are so busy, my date for pick up might not happen and allow up to 5 days for pick up." Day 5 and still nothing. Had to call them and they said nothing was dispatched for it. So now, I have a bag in the driveway for a whole week since the don't do pick up on the weekends and said they dispatched for Monday. Basically having a family car parked on the curb this whole time. Dont waste your time with them. You won't get an email notification stating they are coming. You won't get a call stating they are coming. You will get an email when the bag is picked up if it ever gets picked up. Will never do business with them ever again. read more

Dont use! They want the bag filled with just a few things. This is ridiculous. We had a collection scheduled that got cancelled because driver couldn't see yellow handles. He didn't even stop by as my cameras show he didn't even attempt to do it. Handles were very visible. Not only that, but for them to come back out we need to pay an extra 50 dollars. Terrible customer arrived and terrible service overall. Will never use again. read more

I called to schedule a pickup time and picked the soonest possible, which was from 2 days to 6 days out. After the six days elapsed the bag was still sitting in my driveway which had rendered it unusable for the entire time. After several calls and a long time on hold, but still unable to do anything but leave a voicemail, I got an email the next morning saying that they would pick it up the day after. Took nearly 8 full days for them to pick up my bag without even so much as an apology. Do not use this service unless you can afford to wait forever and have to call and leave voicemails for them to pick it up. read more

DON'T WASTE YOUR $$$ - get a dumpster - cheaper in the long run and less hassle! Like a lot of these reviews I bought into how simple this process looked. After filling the bag, I went online and scheduled the pick up. I looked at the packaging of the bag (from Home Depot) and all over the website looking for a list reasons they wouldn't pick up the bag. The information that was available was very limited. Then the day of the pickup the bag is still there and I receive an email letting me know they couldn't pick it up but didn't say why. I logged into my WM account to find that I was billed a $50 "trip fee" which is what they apply once they find a reason not to pick up your bag. The reason was because the "yellow straps could not meet in the middle above the trash in the bag." I looked and looked on the website and could not find anywhere where it says this. I contacted support and they said this is listed in the Terms of Service that I agreed to when I booked the pick up. I asked for a copy and finally they sent me the Terms of Service which stats this at the very bottom which I would refer to as "fine print." It appears in many of these reviews they have a long list of reasons why they won't pick up your bag but the one and only spot it mentions these are in the Terms of Service when you're scheduling the pick up. WM Customer Support told me since I agreed to this in the Terms of Service they would not be able to refund the $50. It seems like an unethical business practice to me, not just for my own experience but based on all the 1-star reviews with similar stories. They make it very difficult to know what the different reasons are for them to decide not to pick up your bag. read more

This company is the WORST!! I scheduled a pick up and they charged me immediately but I had to wait 5 days for the actual pick up window. I also received 2 emails confirming the scheduled date - neither of which mentioned anything about positioning the bag less than 16 feet from the street to ensure pick up. I then received an email to say they had canceled the pick up and they charged me $50 to NOT pick up the bag. At no point did they call my cell phone or say they had arrived or ask me to move the bag to an area closer to the street. They just canceled and charged me an additional fee. I called customer service, was transferred 3 times and spoke to a supervisor who refused to entertain the idea that they would waive the fee. To say he was rude, unprofessional and downright mean would be an understatement. I tried to explain why I thought they should reimburse me and he interrupted me and said "let me stop you right there because there's no way we're giving you your money back." BE WARNED: THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS WHO WILL STOP AT NOTHING TO TAKE YOUR MONEY AND REFUSE TO PICK UP YOUR BAG. read more

We used bagster to clean out 21 years in a house. We filled 3 Bagster's with massive amount of junk. Any type of waste removal of that caliber has a potential for problems. The truck was too big to go up the driveway and the driver was concerned with safety as there are some power lines over the drive. So be aware of that. The 18 feet is the truck so even if your bagsters are positioned away from power lines and trees the truck still needs to get near them. This driver was polite and professional and worked with us. He Waited while we dragged the bagsters down the driveway. The bags are stronger than they look! After that it was simple and he picked up the bags in a jiffy. I scheduled the pickup online and they came the next day. I would definitely recommend bagster for junk removal. You just have to be careful where you position it. The same would be true of a traditional dumpster. read more

This company is pure garbage, which is appropriate. I called a month ago to have a couch removed. They charged me twice, then never came to pick up my couch on my scheduled pickup day. I called and they told me they had to delay pickup to July 27th. I called today, left two voicemails, was put on hold for an hour, and then finally got in touch with someone named Amanda who said that they would pick up the couch by 6pm. It is 9pm and the couch is still there, getting peed on and rained on. I had to pay someone to help me bring the couch out to the road and now am facing a fine from the city because it is still there. I still have not received a call back. This place is a joke and the people that work there are disrespectful, discriminatory to disabled folx, and refuse to acknowledge that their lack of initiative, communication and drive severely impact and affect other people. Never use them. You will never get through. Go to a local service that actually communicates and respects the community. read more

General residential service is fine, but this review is specifically for the transparency of the company when speaking with customers. Absolutely horrid! Though they are nice, they do not provide all the information and different people tell you different things. Signed up for a roll off dumpster and was told to make payments of whatever amount we saw fit when we got the dumpster. Turns out, even after paying half of what we owed in one payment, that was not the case. Was sending in payments and they kept putting those payments onto our residential account, so we would call and fix it. We got another notice that our account was going to be sent to collections even though we had made a payment - so I call to clear it up to find out that we weren't paying enough and that our account was needing to be paid off immediately. Managed to work out a payment plan since that wasn't what we were told in the beginning and then ended up getting invoices for finance charges. When I called to understand why we were getting charged when we have automatic payments put in place by them, the woman I spoke with clearly only listened enough to reply and not actually hear my concerns and has zero concern for the customers in mind. Why should they when the only other option is to haul our trash ourselves?! I'll pay the finance charge! I'm happy to pay our account because, as she so dutifully reminded me: this a service they provided to us and we need to pay for it. I'm happy to pay it. It was a service we desperately needed. Doesn't mean that I'm not upset that all this information wasn't provided to me when I called to get information about the dumpster in the first place. Awful and wish I could go with a different service at this point just so I don't have to deal with their representatives and finance people. read more

Never, ever do business with this company. They are thieves. Our condo association had a contract with them for $268.00 per month and they have over charged us each month well over that fee. For one year the over charge that they really can't justified came to approx. $1,000. Unfortunately, we signed up for automatic payments, which is a huge mistake. Then when we wanted to cancel the contract due to their breach of it and they want to charge us $2,100. read more

My review is for the actually Bagster pick up driver. We have used this service in the past and had good experiences. We live in the metro Boston area. This time we placed the bag in the same place as before and filled it. Waited a few days for pickup which is standard. The guy showed up with his truck and as soon as I opened the front door he stared in on the complaining and grousing. I agree that the bag was in a difficult place but we have very limited space, as is common in a city. I was treated with total disrespect and 15 minutes of whining and accusations. The driver was clearly not willing or able to do the job without lashing out at me over a problem that just needed some creative thinking. Customer service was sympathetic and apologized. They took care of the problem to our satisfaction and were very understanding, and agreed that the driver should not have behaved the way he did. Unfortunately the driver made himself look foolish and showed a lack of problem solving skills. read more
