Constantly having problems with dryers at a brand new apartment complex junipers in rancho penasquitos. This company is not providing a good service to customers. They rent out washers and dryers to apartment buildings and dont maintain them at all. The washers arent constantly broken and they will not come out to fix them. Always have nice working machines in my location and if ever one breaks down I place call at the end of the day by the next morning they will have it fix ready to go. another awesome thing they have is that you don't need quarter anymore to start your machine they have and app you can down load on you phone and start any washer or dryer from your smart phone That easy No more change. I had old machines from Washtek. They proposed cutting the amount of machines I had in half with new ones in an email. I decided just to stick with the old ones but instead, they removed them from my property without notice. When I spoke Dave Beguelin, VP of sales, on the phone he insisted he told me 60 days and that he had put it on his calendar. Well, good for him but he didn't tell me that. I have reviewed all communication from him. Instead of being calm and having a civil conversation, he got nasty and then ultimately hung up on me. I do not recommend using a company that has terrible customer service or lies about what they tell customers, or removes machines without notice. read more

Ditto to those residents who say Washtek never returns your money. I have been living here 5 years and finally had to lay down the law with them on the phone. They are greedy. Just installed new washer/dryers that are not as good as the old ones and cost more money to dry your clothes. Just another disreputable company who will get away with greed because they can. PS Our new dryer is already down, despite them working for an hour today to fix it. We'll see if they return my 6 quarters. read more

Like many of the other reviews mention on here, Dave Beguelin is difficult to work with. We currently use Washtek for our laundry systems, and I simply asked him for a revenue statement for the year to tie back to our reports. His response to me was very unprofessional and not customer service oriented. He came off frustrated and annoyed that I was asking for the statement, and felt I was making him do double work when the information is printed on the commission check stubs they send throughout the year. I have never had any one of our other vendors give me this type of attitude when asking for an annual statement. Wouldn't you think a company would be customer service focused and be happy to help their clients? Keep in mind, I NEVER reach out to them for anything! When our contract is up, we will consider another company. read more

I am a member of the board of directors of a HOA for a small condo complex in University Heights. We have tried to get WashTek to renegotiate our contract multiple times and could never get them to listen to our needs. They then decided to raise prices despite our written response to the price increase (which asked us if we wanted to move forward...we did not want to). When they did so anyway, they would not change it back, telling us they weren't making money from us. They don't seem interested in renegotiating a deal...they have never actually pitched a proposal to us and don't seem interested in our business. So we are offloading WashTek and moving over to Art's Laundry, which is just down the street and was recommended to us. They were more than happy for some fresh business and so far working with them has been a Breeze. Now we're having trouble reaching WashTek to come take away their machines (which they were more than happy to do when they denied our request to rollback the price increase). Yes, WashTek, the Tide has turned. There are competitors out there who are more than happy to listen and meet their customer's needs. read more

Holy Cow! I just went to the land of crazy! During shopping for facility service, I came upon this "company". I got an email explaining remedial terms. I was told by "Dave" that I would be getting copies of the lease so I could review the terms. I then get an email saying they can't mail me a copy of a lease until I close escrow....uh ok that makes no sense. I write back to let "Dave" know I have received three copies of actual leases from other companies and this is what I got back: "J, we covered all of that in our conversation the other night. We do the collection, we do everything. Then we agreed to do the lease, and now your still shopping the competition? I don't get it. I think Washtek will pass this time. Often they would take 3 to 7 days to get repairs made. WASHTEK is The BEST by Far... They are at our properties the same day or the next business day, Always. I have a 96 unit apt community in Vista Ca. I have 9 washers and 9 dryers in our Onsite Laundry Room. The machines are used constantly, as you can imagine!. If there is an issue with a machine you can go onto the website at http://washtek.com/request-service/ and conveniently put in a service request to repair the machine. Within hours you will have a technician onsite to investigate and repair the machine. We recently switched to the card reader system and I have to say I/The Residents LOVE IT! No more quarters to have to worry about. I have given Washtek a 5 because I have really enjoyed and appreciated the level of service they have given me over the years. Avoid their machines if you don't want to throw away money. I've called for refunds with no action. They come to "fix" a machine then the next few days it's broken again. Out of 10 machines, 5 washers and 5 dryers, 1 is always broken. read more

Had their washers and dryers in my apartment for several years. Signed a contract and was told their machines were new. What they put in were machines that were over ten years old and always taking my tenants money. They called Washtek and were told refunds were my responsibility. Took as long as three weeks to get a unit repaired. When contract was up, I was promised new machines again. Not! I cancelled my service, that turned into another nightmare to get them to remove the equipment. When we reviewed the accounting, we found they shorted us our take through accounting gimmicks for at least the past two years. Once I questioned their accounting, they passed the buck around the office and was always told the President would call and fix the shortfall. He never did. read more

"I purchased a building and Washtek was servicing the laundry room. It isn't a very big apartment building ; it's 27 units with 6 washers and dryers. We have water saving new energy efficient washers. My manager tells me if she calls them for service on a machine before noon they almost always fix it the same day, which is amazing! My husband and I have owned a 52 unit apartment building since 1997. Washtek has 16 machines in our laundry room. I don't know what we would do without them. If our manager calls them with a problem they are there the same day almost every time . About 2 years ago we decided to do whatever we could to reduce water usage at our complex. We asked them to replace our washers with new star energy washers and they were very accommodating. The next day Dave came and met with our manager and a week later we had new washers. We contract with them to provide laundry equipment in our laundry room. We are paid timely each month and our check are attached with usage counter reads on each machine. The service department is the best bar none!! If a machine breaks, they come the same day. Our residents are very happy and we are too. read more

My only gripe is that they never answer their phones!!! I'm forced to leave a voice mail but they always call me back or fix the machines. Usually the machines are fixed the same day if I call early. No complaints, I will use them at another building when lease ends. read more
