In the past, I have purchased beautiful fireplace tools, screens, gas log sets and equipment for not only my indoor fireplaces but outdoor ones as well. I recently needed to replace my fireplace surround, and Debbie put me in touch with an independent contractor who installed the finished product. It turned out great, except after a few uses. I noticed there was some paint damage to the powder coating. Because it's under warranty, Debbie has been so helpful & has served as the conduit with the company who made this custom surround and has arranged for it to be uninstalled and sent back so the paint can be repaired at no cost to me. This is amazing! I cannot recommend this business highly enough. They will meet any and all fireplace needs, as well as grilling & BBQ equipment. Such a gem to have in La Mesa.

He checked for gas leaks around the fireplace with a simple sensor that would beep irregularly if gas was detected. And a bonus, while we were chatting he gently swept and reorganized our fireplace so make it look so tidy! Definitely no upsell during any of this. She pulled up my house from street view, and we talked about the specifics of my non-functioning fire place and chimney. I was very impressed with not only her thorough knowledge of the mechanics of fire places (she immediately understood my problem) but in the lack of a "hard sell" that many service providers seem to push. Terri even referred me to another company to get a quote on one of the repair options that Swede does not offer. This was so that I could get a very clear idea of what I was looking at, both cost-wise and service-wise. Do not hesitate to use Swede. Five enthusiastic stars for customer service. His family owned and operated a fireplace shop / ( started with his father) but he's closed that and down- sized nowadays. An Interesting tidbit is that, years ago, one of their employees experimented and invented the first version of a gas log. Anyway, I researched many companies and options and was very impressed by Jim's quick and respectful response. And, in addition, he works on Saturdays which really works for us because my husband and I both work during the week. from researching, I discovered that apparently, other companies tack on up charges for everything beginning with seaIing off the tube that burns the wood so that it could be converted to gas. Jim does not tack on these Kinds of extra fees although he did recommend that we wait for the seal to dry before going forward the following Week. When he showed us what he had for log choices, he could sense that I would accept one but l wouldn't be 100% happy.
