"Rude and Unhelpful, Dishonest..." we bought a brand new $500 dryer that did not work properly, FROM DAY ONE; it took 4 hours to dry a load of wash, 3 hours for a light load. half the functions did not work at all called rafael, who sold us, and the guy was utterly rude and unhelpful, and obviously does not know anything about the appliances he sells. he said, "i cannot help you, you have to call the manufacturer..." he sells stuff with zero store warranty. in the end, after 3 hours on the phone, my time, it turns out the problem was that Harbor sold us the wrong kind of vent tube, the "flexible" and we needed the semi rigid or rigid...simple fix. you would think the salesman would have known. as it is, whats equally stupid is there were no instructions about this in the badly written specs that came with the machine. it took 1.4 house on the phone with a very kind and patient tech women in the phillipines to figure it out. should be basic...and the sales man should also know, and sell us the correct piece. if he had not been so rude and unhelpful, and had made any effort at all ...but i agree with Nikoo K, that Raphael is a crook, a used car salesman type. read more

I recently had to buy all new appliances for my house. New kitchen and laundry. I went to Harbor thinking it was a used appliances store (that's what I searched for in Google) but when I got there everything looked too new and I found out from the salesman that I was sent there incorrectly. And then they had good prices, good sales support, and offered both delivery and installation services on top of all that. When they came, the installers did a good job getting everything where I wanted it to be and installing the pieces I wanted installed (by them). There was one issue where the dryer vent hose was too long (causing some drying issues) and I called to mention that and they came out very promptly to correct the issue. Finding a company that provides good products, prices, and service is a valuable thing. They did really good work and I appreciate that. read more

I have never left a review but this time I was so pleased with the help I received that I must. I called Harbor and Rafael gave a two hour time window the next day to come to look at my washing machine to repair. He arrived within that window and gave an estimate. I agreed and he left to order the parts. The following day the parts arrived and he gave another two hour time window the same day. He arrived and fixed the machine quickly. My GE refrigerator stopped cooling so this company came out and mentioned that I need to replace the fan. Well after the repairs, it was cooling but it was still making an unusual sound. I sent a text to him and no answer. Well 1 month later the fridge stopped cooling again; tried to call this number and I learned that I was blocked. I confirmed it by having a friend of mine call the number and he answered right away. I called a professional GE appliance repair company and he showed me the fan that this company apparently replaced and he certainly did not. It looked old and yellow - he only defrosted it and that's why it was working for a short while. He knew that I will call back one day saying that it's not cooling again so he blocked me before that. Our cooktop stopped working back in late April, so our home warranty company, First American, hired HA to inspect it. They came fairly quickly, however, they never repaired it or got back to us and it's been a month and counting. The contractor told us he would send a report and get it repaired within a week after the inspection, NOPE. First American stated that they left multiple messages and escalated the issue with Harbor Appliances for a report since the one they sent was incomplete - it did not list a cause or reason for failure. However, they've been non-responsive. To this day, our cooktop is still non-functional. Horrible service and wasted money. read more

I worked a deal on a wall range. I offered $1,650 for the display model. I spoke with Diana about 15 times. She spoke to the owner, and he agreed on the offer of $1,650 plus tax. I agreed to drive 200 hundred miles from Thousand Oaks. I drove all the way there and they told the price would now be $2,159 plus tax. That was the new deal. Take it or leave it. My Bertazzoni range had a problem with one of the burner not staying on and the large burner stopped working because jelly did overflow and leaked into the burner. Rafael came and we agreed that it would be better to replace the burner and the control valve for the small burner needed replacement. I thought it would cost a fortune in labor but no, it was very reasonable. Rafael did a great job, kept the appointments in time and kept us informed of the timing to receive the replacement parts. Sent via Home Depot extended warranty claim because of a dryer issue. "Repairman" claimed that the dryer had nothing wrong with it. Only tested via timed dry setting and did not use the normal dry settings, which uses senor dry, that my family uses. Smart move,especially when the washer decides to break down mid-cycle with a loads sheets trapped inside, on a Sunday morning. Home Depot directed me to contact Harbor Appliance. First visit, Rafael determined he didn't the parts to fix my machine-- time to order parts from GE. Second visit a week later, the new part doesn't work. Rafael orders another replacement and I'm gathering more quarters for my new weekly jaunt to the laundromat. Third visit the next week, Rafael arrives with yet another set of parts and fresh prayers for it being fixed. Although it took three trips to finally resolve the problem, Rafael was always prompt, professional and courteous. read more

Our refrigerator freezer died one day, woke up and found everything melting. We needed a replacement as soon as possible. Harbor Appliance had a model in stock that would fit perfectly into the small space allotted for a refrigerator in our 1939 home. It was in stock and delivered the next time and the price was WAY better than any of the other big box stores in town. I completed everything online. Lina verified my information via a phone call and the next day, the brand new refrigerator arrived in PERFECT condition. The staff was accommodating and professional. They took away our broken refrigerator and explained everything about the new model before leaving. I would have had to wait literally WEEKS for any of the other stores to deliver a replacement. They had the one we wanted, good price (as good as Lowes or Home Depot, who didn't have them in stock), and they came out the next day, delivered, installed, removed the old one, all done very professionally, quickly, and cleanly. *I was told later that the owner of the company, Raphael, was one of the guys doing the job. I bought a Samsung refrigerator through Home Depot and thankfully I had the extended warranty because I have had Harbor Appliance out to my house 4 times. Twice HomeDepot sent different repair namely (AG Appliance) companies and they didn't do anything. All they said was that I needed to defrost my fridge. Uh-sorry, wrong answer. Rafael has been very thorough in diagnosing and then after receiving parts; repairing. Unfortunately, the refrigerator I purchased is a lemon but, thankfully, I'm finally getting a new one (Whirlpool is what Rafael recommends). The dishwasher in the home we just purchased was continuously beeping. Within 15 minutes of submitting the request to our home warranty company, I received a call from Harbor Appliance. They were at the house within another 15 minutes, had the problem diagnosed within 30 minutes, and had everything set up to return with the necessary parts before he left. They were prompt, professional and knowledgeable. It was overall an exceptional service experience. I will use their services again and I recommend them to anyone in need of A+ service. Got stuck with this company through my home warranty company who is also just as bad (first american home warranty). Took 3 weeks for the repairman to come out and say it's not working (no kidding). Got another appointment set up for the repair from 1pm-3pm. I left work to get there on time. I show up at 1255 and stay until 230. No show. I call and he says he showed up early and no one was there but he could come back in a week. Unbelievable that this company could get contracted by a home warranty company. Smells like a dirty scam.
