This summer we noticed that every time the A/C came on, people sneezed. Finally we figured out that…read morethere was dust in the ducts (duh!), and looked around for a highly-rated duct cleaning service. When I contacted them for an appointment, I discovered that it is the same company as Chim Chiminey Sweep, who cleaned our chimney last year and did a great job. So we figured we couldn't go wrong by hiring them to clean our ducts and vents. They came today and did the cleaning. They arrived exactly when they said they would. They were utterly professional. I can't easily look inside the ducts to see how clean they are, but I watched them work and I'm sure it all got very clean. They brought a big red machine labeled "Rotobrush"; it looked like a combination vacuum cleaner and spinning brush. The brush loosened the dirt and the machine sucked it all in, so that none of it came out into the air or the room. They worked efficiently and finished when they predicted that they would. They reported that one of our 16 ducts was damaged and suggested that we call a heating/cooling company to have it repaired. The final invoice was for exactly the estimated amount. I couldn't be happier. I asked them how often we should do this cleaning, and they said "about every 5 years". We have lived in this house for 3 years, but I suspect that the ducts hadn't been cleaned for 20 years. No more sneezing here.

Although DJ's Appliance didn't perform any repair service for me, I received a tremendous amount of assistance from D.J. over the phone that allowed me to make the decision to buy a new washing machine as opposed to paying a high repair cost that would approach the cost of a new machine. I can tell he takes pride in his work as well as being an honest businessman with his customers. I will definitely contact D.J. again if I have appliance issues. read more

The fridge was getting hot in our rental unit in Carlsbad and Dave came to the rescue! I oftentimes feel like I'm getting shafted by these appliance repair guys, but not with Dave. He explained the problem clearly and when he realized that it was a computer chip problem (??) that needed to be repaired by a Whirlpool person, then he only charged us peanuts for the service call. But the reason I didn't call their plumbing company is because I started out with this other plumbing company the first time which is MasterCraft Plumbers and this company did a great job for me. I don't like to jump around to another contractor I want to stay loyal with one plumbing company. EAVA Drains there is a slight difference in their prices on the Kitchen Sink Faucet Replacement Service. Abel told me he usually charges the $275.00 to replace this Kitchen Sink Faucet Replacement Service not the $250.00 that Brison from this original Plumbing Company I was doing business with the first time. It's the slight difference in Abel's pricing policy that also changed my opinion. My final decision was made on these factors. MasterCraft Plumbers prices are $25.00 less expensive than EAVA Drains Prices that was quoted to me by Abel the owner for $275.00. I am in a really tight budget with my income currently, if I hired EAVA Drains I will be charged more money for doing the same job at MasterCraft Plumbers. The second thing is I hired this plumbing company first and their plumbing technicians Dillon and Chandler did a great job for me on another project. So I want to stay loyal to them. Otherwise, if I didn't hire this other plumbing company first, I would hire EAVA Drains because their prices are not as high as other plumbing companies.

Mark was fast, helpful, quick about the phone calls and he met me with parts I needed. I was about 90% through a fix and needed one silly little item, and no one would stay open late enough for me to get to them, or I couldn't fit my truck in their silly little parking lot. Mark, it turns out, keeps some long hours, keeps a good stock of parts, knew what I needed, had a generic alternative that didn't cost as much as the brand-name replacement, and he charged me a very reasonable price.
