We tried out this place due to the high Yelp reviews and they delivered our first few dry cleanings free of charge, right to our door. Michael noticed we were becoming regulars and suggested we get the Platinum service for a savings. He even called to check in to explain the savings. I decided to drop the $250 up front and also sent in my wedding gown, another batch of clothes and Restoration Hardware linens for a cleaning, since we had such great service the first 3 times. It didn't look like anything was cleaned. It was all in plastic wrap and nicely folded and pressed, but that was about it. I had to point out the stains on the curtains and dress. There were also press marks on the silk blouses and asked for everything to be looked at closely again but they wouldn't try to re-clean it for free. They suggested I upgrade and pay more for the wedding gown to have it preserved to have a better chance of it cleaning better. Hmmmm sounds like a bait and switch to me. Quality: Extra (trouble stains are identified) work is clearly identified. If you leave collar stays or cuff links in your shirts...they are in a little bag. If you have something happening with your pants or clothes...they catch and offer to repair it. Check. 3. Cost: At least 30% cheaper than my Dry Cleaner in the city. Check. Oh yeah, and they deliver. Yes, we're in the same building, but that is incredible to have someone deliver and pick up. Over the last 4 (four) years we've lived in Mt. View, we've patronized large efficient dry cleaners that get your stuff back to you in 24 hours at a premium. We've patronized AXESS CLEANERS. This is the best dry cleaning experience I've had by far. I didn't realize how much I missed interacting with small business owners until we moved out of downtown San Francisco, and into a real neighborhood here in Mt. View! Michael (the Manager) is so wonderful. He's always on site and greets us by name, even though we've only been customers for a few months. It makes me feel like there's a personal touch of service. I recently moved to the Mountain View area and was looking for a Dry Cleaner and Laundry store. At first I came across other cleaners (tried multiple) closer to my work (also in mountain view) but after multiple occurrences were my garments were not Dry Cleaned as promised and also had few alteration jobs gone wrong, I decided to try Axess Cleaners when a friend of mine suggested these guys to me. For one, they are conveniently located in Downtown Mountain View, on Castro St. But what made me even more amazed with these guys was the level of service that I received from them. Quite exceptional. It was prompt, and everything was done as promised. I had a hand-made sweater that had beads on them that was damaged due to an oil-stain. I wasn't too confident that it would come out, as a similar incident happened before and it was not successful. With Axess Cleaners, the result came out much better than expected, which to me was a great surprise due to my past experiences. My husband and I, have been using Axess Cleaners for a while now, and all I can say is the positive experiences we have encountered with them. From customer service to the overall quality they have presented to us nothing short of PERFECT! After few tries, we decided to get on their VIP program, which made complete sense since it comes with a really good discount but also FREE Pick up and Delivery. We basically pay $1.65 per shirt and approximately $6.50 for a dress, now that's really great with the fact that it also comes with FREE Pick up and Delivery. Michael is our contact rep (I guess he handles all VIP accounts) and he's been extremely helpful. We get invoices electronically and an update on our account once a month. Thus far I have not had anything go wrong with Axess and Im sure its going to be the same way in the future. I am a frequent traveler, who travels a lot between Texas and the Bay Area, and of course nothing is more convenient than finding a RELIABLE Dry Cleaner, and one that can take care of my stuff accordingly and to make sure that it's taken care of on time without a hassle. Due to my intense schedule and the frequent flights, at times I can't risk not having my items done as promised - this is where Axess Cleaners has been a great discovery that I've made not too long ago. After seeing their advertisement I decided to pay them a visit and try them out. The staff is very knowledgeable, which is key but at any time if I had additional question, or requests, they would notify their manager and I would communicate with him onwards. The biggest factor why I am even bothering to leave this review (as you can tell, Im not a heavy reviewer) is due to the number of times that I came to these guys and in all occasions my items were cleaned and processed as expected - I've asked for things like next days, rush deliveries, expedited repair and even as far as storing my clothes. Axess and it's staff both met and exceeded my expectations - I am lucky to have found these guys as it has saved me a ton of time on top of which I have now been able to have a small selection of my clothes stored with them and this way I don't have to drag them around all the time. I'm not sure if this is a service they offer to everyone, but the manager - Mike - was nice enough to consider it. In conclusion, I definitely think they are one of the best I've tried in this area and I really hope they keep up with the good work they're doing. Best Dry Cleaners Ever! Very convenient location, tucked away behind Le Boulanger bakery on Castro. Suit looks fantastic after Axess, and price is only $13.75! I will never go anywhere else. But the real reason I love this place is a bit more personal. I had to get my best suit cleaned at the last minute for a Monday event out of town, so I dropped it off on Friday, and the attendant told me to pick it up at 6pm on Saturday. However, I didn't make it on time, and wasn't able to get my suit! Yikes. So I called the number, and left an (admittedly rather frantic and desperate) message asking if there was anyway I could get the suit before Sunday night. And even though it was Sunday morning, and Axess Cleaners is closed all day, and it was totally my fault for not picking up the suit on time, the manager Michael B. returned my call, and THEN DROVE IN AND OPENED UP THE STORE, just so I could have my suit in time to catch my flight in the afternoon! Let me just clarify - I was only confused because on my FIRST trip to the cleaners, I brought two pants in to be altered. I was fitted at Axess and then I came back a week later to pick them up. At that point, they were too short. I tried to make it work for awhile to see if I could switch up my shoes to adjust to the height, but they were just too short. I then took them back to Axess and had them readjust it by letting them out an inch (I didn't get fitted the second time). I was only confused about getting charged when I brought them back in the second time because the first time wasn't to my liking and I thought they had that guarantee. I hope that clarifies it... I know the owner reads the reviews, so just in case he was unclear about anything that I said. By the way, thank you for calling me. At first I came across Axess Cleaners, when driving by Downtown Mountain View and noticing their signs across from Wells Fargo bank. Due to its convenient location I decided to have few alteration jobs done here. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted nicely, they did the measuring and really took their time to make sure all measurements are precise. This was great, because I've been to other locations to have minor alterations done and because they didn't put much time/effort into it I had to have the same minor alteration multiple times to make sure its done how it is supposed to have been done in the first place. The second visit I made to the location, primarily because of the level of service I received here, I was also introduced to their other services, which got me tons of savings and benefits (i.e. Free Pressing with all alteration jobs). I can say that I'm going to be a long-term client of Axess Cleaners and I suggest choosing them if you're new to the area and looking for the best in the business. Their prices are also fair and very competitive for the area. My Boyfriend and I had been using these guys for some time. Pretty much all around from our household items to regular clothes (Business shirts, suits, jackets, sweaters, dresses) to alterations. We are not located in close approximate to the store - but since my BF works nearby it serves it purpose when it comes to using their service. I've taken a 10 year old drapes and wasn't too positive that they can even proceed with the job (stain removal) as the item is really old and fragile. They did an excellent job with it. Although at first the employee was hesitant about it, she decided to leave it for the manager to analyze and see if it can be done. Within 24 hours I was notified via text that the job is doable and a follow up call on pricing and more detail. The level of service to me speaks for itself and why I am giving them the well deserved positive rating. On top of that, of course reasonable price structure and competitive to the rest of the ones we tried previously in the area. We've since became part of the ongoing service which entitles us for discount and other cool benefits such as the delivery service. I love this part as the only downside to them is their parking and it helps a whole lot to take advantage of their delivery service and avoid going to the store, plus it saves us a ton of time - we both need. :) I highly recommend them for dry cleaning, laundry and alteration service. read more

I am very pleased with their service. I don't usually write much reviews, unless Im very upset or very happy about a particular service or product I've received. I think most of us can relate to this. Axess Cleaners have yet to disappoint me, and I'm not an easy person to please - sometimes. This said, as many of us are going through this Holiday Season, I'm sure we all have an item or two for a special event or party that needs a last minute care or cleaning. Same happened to me! although Im usually on top of it and give myself plenty time to prepare for a special occasion, this particular situation was out of my control. In fact, twice Michael and Axess Cleaners team pulled through for me. Once before Thanksgiving, as I needed a dress cleaned and pressed and although I had plenty time, the dress had a major stain that I brought from my local cleaner to Axess to take a look at. Michael was there and he took the order and in no time returned it back to me cleaned, pressed and ready to wear. I was impressed because to me it seemed to be a bad stain and plus my local cleaner couldn't take it out. This time around, after my first experience with them, I called the store and asked for Michael specifically. I had three dresses, that not only needed cleaning but also Alteration. Explained to Michael over the phone and also we communicated the rest by text message (pic etc). Michael made it very easy for me to show him what I needed done without having to go to the store - so this helped a lot and saved me a lot of time. However what impressed me the most is the time frame, he promised to get them done by today and so he did. Needed two of the dress to be hemmed, as well as one to also have it taken in from the waste. They are all gown-type dresses so I assumed this may not be possible. He pulled through and made it happen. I am very happy with Axess Cleaners. Although it's not close to where I live, I'm lucky to work in the area so I will be using them more often. I haven't tried their delivery service, but I think I will go for it and may be put an updated review down the road. I def suggest them to everyone, Michael and his team are great. read more

After moving to the Bay Area, I've been on the lookout for a reliable Dry Cleaner that also does their own work (not sending it out to other plants). Most that I came across to or was introduced by co-workers, to my surprise were ones that outsource their work and I tend to not like that as much, simply because of the time it takes to complete each order and in most cases more expensive and less reliable. Thanks to Yelp I found these guys and noticed they are close enough to my work. Did some research and of course after asking their manager few questions, realized they also do practice Environmentally Friendly cleaning and dry cleaning and operate their own machines. Quality - Satisfactory [at times some stains were visible but I know they are difficult stains so no complain] Price - Affordable [competitive and when compared with few others in the area I noticed they are in fact cheaper especially with their VIP service] Location - I am not quite loving the location, usually limited with parking and sometimes I have to park behind other cars to go into the store. Not a huge deal breaker because it's usually few minutes by the time I go in and out. Also, I believe they offer delivery service, which I am actually going to try. Overall, I am giving Axess a well deserved 5 Stars for their quality and value. I've not had a bad experience here and customer service is superb (great communications). read more

I love this place. Their staff, management team are super friendly and professional, and I couldn't be any happier with the work they do. I live in San Francisco, but commute to work in South Bay and Palo Alto area, and found these guys after few friends of mine suggested them at work. Of course, I gave them a try and after few tries, I became their member. The cool thing is their friend referral program, so if they still have it going on, I suggest taking advantage of it and get those free credits. I referred few of my colleagues too. Their pick up and drop off is a time saver! I am extremely happy that they do this as I am not always in Mountain View and this helps tremorously. I've had worked with two of their staff in the morning, and they are super helpful too. Reliable Fast Turn Around Time Best Value (based on my personal experience) VERY convenient HONEST I think I've covered the five main reason why I'm giving Axess Cleaners 5 Stars. If I could I would give them more. One thing that's BIG for me when it comes to dealing with businesses every day is HONESTY. I also noticed another Yelper had mentioned this but now it happened to me too. My cousin and his family came to the bay from our homeland and of course with all their clothes packed (wrinkled etc), PLUS being traditional clothing with lots of beads for a wedding ceremony we had planned made things a bit difficult. Now to make matter worse, of the suitcases with many of the traditional clothing articles had a leak (moisturizers, makeup) and pretty much, damaged everything. On top of all these problems, I had to act fast as we only had a week before the ceremony. I called 4 cleaners prior to Axess and they all quoted me random prices. One in particular, didn't give me much of a quote and asked for me to go in, with promises that convinced me that not only they can do the job but at a reasonable price. Decided to give them a try before realizing due to the time frame and the extent of the material (being fancy) it would cost me $500+ to do the job - with no promises that the stains will fully go away. Last resort, was Axess. I was in my car when I called them and luckily Michael (who I believe is the manager) was at the store when he answered. We communicated via phone and exchanged few pictures and he assured me that he can take off the stain and also meet the deadline. Hard to believe!!! Drove to Axess, which nicely enough wasn't far from where I was. Michael went through each article, organized them with care, analyzed them and the stain and processed my order. - The entire set consisting of all traditional clothes with the stains came to $285, compared with $500+ I was quoted earlier. 4 business days later, Michael calls me that he's taken care of the order and all ready to pick up. ALL but few stains didn't come out - but compared to what had happened, it was nothing but a miracle. I was extremely pleased and happy with the outcome. I'm very happy with these guys. Just a fantastic place to bring dry cleaning and laundry to. Aside from their cleanliness which I care a lot about - obviously they have to be - it's their overall customer service, work ethic, and quality of work that got me hooked. My first time here at Axess I brought in a large order roughly 15-18 items. I had about 10 dresses and the rest were blouses and skirts. As soon as I walked in I noticed how organized they are and I really love it - everything is computerized so no handwritten invoices and the process felt seamless and fast. As I was being professionally greeted by the wonderful girl in the front, and as we went through my stuff we came across two issues: 1) If a certain stain could come out! 2) If another blouse was doable considering the type of material/fabric it had? She was very polite and informative however to confirm the two scenarios explained above the girl got in touch with the store manager. He was VERY quick and responded right away - I didn't have to wait or be put on hold to be notified. We exchanged some details about the stain and the garment as well as few snapshots which the girl had taken and the manager then explained the process to me. 1) The stain has a 70% chance to come out.... 2) The second item - although risky - is manageable. He also assured me that he will handle these two articles himself and make sure to give it he's utmost care. Let's put it this way - with most of my experience going to other cleaners, I've yet to experience such quality service and HONESTY. He wasn't there to make a sell or give me empty promises but instead was frank and honest with his approach. You got to love this about any business as it shows their work ethic beyond all. The outcome - both of the scenarios were nicely worked out - the stain came out and the blouse went through the process nicely without any issues. As far as their prices goes, very fair - I found others to be more expensive OR if cheaper (small margin) I was never given the treatment I got here. Moreover, they also offered me their pick up and delivery service and additional discounts. I am forever thankful to Axess and looking forward to using their service for many more occasions in the future. Picked up my laundry today and they did a great job with the wash and fold and the reason it's not 5 starts is because I feel hustled. I called in yesterday morning for the free pick up and delivery as advertised on this page and for the fact that I had just came back from vacation not feeling well and didn't want to do our 60lbs of laundry. I spoke with some girl who nicely told me they would pick up for free and have all my laundry done and delivered the same day and it would only cost me $1.45/lb and I would get 25% off for the VIP package. Turns out everything this "new" girl offered and promised was not true. At 5pm yesterday (Friday) I called for the status of my laundry and was told WF usually takes 4 days and I would get it back on Tuesday if rushed. The guy was really nice and helpful and after explaining what the girl told me he managed to rush my order for pick up today. I really appreciated that as miscommunications happens and I understand. However when I just picked up my laundry which cost $120 I found out what the girl forgot to tell me is that the VIP plan is a prepaid program for $250!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At this point I was so tired that the little I tried to argue back didn't matter, the blame is on the new girl who didn't explain anything well and I was told to just use the credit left in the prepaid account for my next visits. Their service is great but please be warned of their very confusing business plan/prepaid plan that will cost you hundreds so ask a lot of question when you call! Since I have $129 left in my account I will go back but I wish there was more information in this yelp page about their rates, plans and what to expect. read more

I brought in a pair of pants to have the waist taken in. The woman who helped me on my first visit was nice and helpful and the pants were ready the next day. After putting them on, I realized the alteration had left a hole in the crotch of the pants. I called and brought the pants in later that day. The man there first tried to charge me for this new fix, claiming that here was no reason why the hole would be there, and that the alteration would not have affected that part of the pants. I had to push back and show him that the hole was clearly because of the alteration and he finally agreed to correct the mistake "as a courtesy" at no charge. Sloppy work and bad customer service means no more repeat visits. After posting this review, Michael contacted me and we were able to reach an understanding. He apologized for the way he responded to the issue and I appreciated that. read more

Like it says, Eek, me thinks not! LOL I tried their services 1 time. I took in 26 shirts for wash and press and 6 shirts for dry cleaning. I was sold on purchasing their VIP Services which is prepaying $250 and receiving 25% discount on the dry cleaning and 15% discount on the laundered items. That sounded great! So here is where my problem comes. I try calling them for 4 days, Tuesday thru Friday with no answer and a messaging machine taking messages. So on Friday 11:00 am I decide to leave a message asking whether I should come down and pick my clothes up or can they deliver them to me as stated in the VIP Services that I prepaid for. I tried calling again at 1pm with no answer, 2pm no answer, 3pm no answer, 3:30pm no answer, 3:35 ANSWER and I asked my question finally. The woman said she would call me back because she was SUPER busy. At 4:30 I phoned her back and she answered again yet said again she would have to call me back with that answer to my question regarding whether I should come down and pick my items up or could they deliver that day. At 6:30 I still had not heard back from anyone so I called the store again and she answered. She told me they do not deliver to Palo Alto on Fridays. I said to her that if she could have told me that at 3:30 then I would have been more than happy to come down and pick up my items. Frustrating! Saturday morning I decide to go to the store to pick up my items. Rebecca says that the manager didn't adjust my prices for the discount and they would do it later. I wasn't comfortable with that after the run around I had received the day before. I told her no, I wanted it taken care of then before I left with my items. She tried to call the owner who was not available on 2 different numbers she tried to reach him on. She then called a manager and put him on the phone with me. He said the same thing that they would get it taken care of later and I told him the same thing that I wasn't okay with that and at this point I wanted my money back. Rebecca is at this point not helpful at all and snidely smiling at me. Rude! I get a refund for my prepaid plan and vowed to not return. I get home and start to place the items in the closet. OMG, they are the worse I have ever received from ANY cleaners. They look like they were washed with a feather pillow and towels because all of the clothing has fuzz and they look dirty. Secondly the ironing job that was done on these items look like the person who ironed them was blind in one eye. Wanted to share my experience and hope that no-one else has the same. Michael, why are you lying? I Purchased the VIP service before I dropped my clothes off. Secondly some of the shirts that I asked to be dry cleaned were not. They got washed and pressed and are now faded as they were black. It was unbelievable how much fuzz and lent from whatever else was in that laundry load that was left on them. If I say I want something dry cleaned and I'm willing to pay the extra for that service then I expect it, not a cheaper version that you decide and then charge me for the dry cleaning for the item. Not only that but many of my husband's shirts had wrinkles still. Shoddy job. Michael you can lie and bribe people to come in by using my negative review to get a discount but I guarantee you that there will be a percentage of those folks that find that your dry cleaning services suck dinosaur eggs. I'm not the only negative review that you have, but as with those you try to squirm your way out of them as well. Folks, all I can say is give them a try if you like them keep using them but if you want your clothes to stay in pristine condition you will think otherwise. Let's all remember that this cleaning service is not done on site. It is all taken to a different location. You are taking a chance with your important clothing because it leaves the premises once you drop it off and then you can hope to God that they do not mix it up with someone else's order. I believe that this is another reason for the miscommunications with dry-cleaning versus wash and press, and for items coming back with lent, feathers etc. from other peoples items. I would venture to bet that the location that these clothes are all taken to are used by multiple other cleaner companies. So again, commonsense says way too many items using that dry cleaning solution and the solution being dirty yet not getting changed in the proper timing will create dirty dull faded results on your clothing. If you are asking to have anything that is white dry cleaned, do not use this company. Your white item will come back gray. Read the other reviews. I am glad that I only tried them once so they were only able to fade five black shirts. There is nothing that Michael could do to get me to bring my clothing back to this place ever.
