I knew I should not have even stopped to charge here, I haven't been here in months and had to because the charger at Hyundai wasn't working and I couldn't make it anywhere else but I will never be back here ever again. They charge an outrageous amount for a hold on the ev charger off your card which is $50 but then the machine don't work the first 3 times and it still takes $50 kevery time you swipe that card oh and it won't be back on for 48hrs. This place is a ripoff, any other chargers take maybe $25 and they put it right back if it isn't that much to charge. They don't hold it for days and days. And to take a $50 hold every time it's swiped because the machine is messed up is just wrong. If it wasn't charging why did they take $150 and I get told oh it will take 24-48hrs to go back on and that's wrong because it took over a week last time this happened and the reason I haven't been back till now. This place sucks, I won't be using these ever again and I sure as heck wouldn't buy a car here if this is the kind of carp they pull with people just using the ev chargers. I guess I won't be buying food the next 24-48hrs because Washington ford is holding $150 of mine for a charge that cost $14. I will be calling the bank and seeing if this would be fraud charges because that is just insane. If you need an EV charger don't bother giving them a dime there is ones right up the road at Hyundai that don't even take a hold off your card let alone have it mess up so they can take $150 and keep it collecting interest for days and days and days. I had my F150 towed there overnight for an engine cooling system problem. I read the trouble codes with my scanner right before the tow truck took it. When Washington Ford's service department called me the next morning for details, I told them that it was having a problem with the engine cooling system and asked them to look into replacing the "Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor" (CHT), a 20 min job max. After they took an hour to diagnose the problem in the afternoon (at $115/hr), Andrea Baumgardner from the service dept called to let me know that I needed to have "the engine coolant temp sensor, knock sensor, and various one time use parts (gaskets)" changed. She then told me something along the lines of how the truck was running rough and they expected to find some more issues after the repair.. I asked her how the tech came to this conclusion vs the CHT sensor I hade mentioned earlier and she offered up "Not to be a smart a**, but they are the professionals." The initial total price quoted for these repairs was approximately $1,475.00. I'm not sure if that price included the initial $115 diagnostic fee or not. One of the attached pictures shows their "diagnosis" and their quoted prices for repairs. After some time to think it over, I declined any repairs and had the truck towed back to my house. Now, I don't claim to be a professional auto mechanic by any means, but I am a pretty accomplished professional in an electrical maintenance field. Within an hour, I had proven that it was the CHT sensor that I had previously thought using nothing more than a volt-ohm meter and a laptop. One of the attached pictures shows a screen cap of a basic graph showing the CHT sensor on the top 3 lines and the coolant temp sensor on the bottom 3 lines. The picture should speak for itself. After getting a new sensor and changing it out in under 15 minutes, my truck runs perfectly normal. I spent around $160 total which includes 2 towing services and the sensor but does not include their $115 "diagnostic" fee. After some time to reflect, I can't decide whether the service department members I dealt with were either incompetent or trying to commit malicious fraud to steal more money out of my pocket for a relatively minor repair. I do know that the $115 diagnostic fee was money well spent to learn that I could not trust this service department with my vehicle or my wallet. I took the time to write this out so that you could consider finding a mechanic elsewhere that you can trust. read more

I took my truck in several times for a camshaft sensor and they would band aid it and then it would come on time and time again. They eventually replaced the engine under warranty but after they replaced it I had several problems come up and it was on stuff they supposedly repaired. I wouldn't take a bicycle to them to have fixed. Had my 2008 Mercury Milan in the service department here for a recall in part of our braking system. They had our car for 8 hours on a job we were told 3 to 5. Technician failed to complete his job, and potentially put us in danger. Had to take to our mechanic for other area of brakes that they failed to see because the guy didn't complete his job. Returned for another recall shortly after for something else, and Mike Reed manager of service and Norm also stepped up and took responsibility for the Technician actions and completed the job quickly including the new recall. They also compensated us for the inconvenience even though I was angry they were willing to hear me out and calm me down. read more

I would never buy a vehicle from here again. The staff are confused and have no idea what is going on. They lost my floor mats, "forgot" to detail my car, and took 17 days to repaint my hood when I was told it would take 2-3. UPDATE: several weeks have gone by however the manager Kevin was very professional and was able to get my car detailed, found my floor mats, and made me feel much better by turning this experience around! You might seek out a Ford Certified Pre-Owned vehicle in order to have greater peace of mind with the expectation that you will purchase a quality used car. In Ford's words, "The Ford Certified Pre-Owned Program takes the risk out of buying a previously owned vehicle." Unfortunately, don't expect to pay a premium in return for that quality assurance if the CPO inspection was performed by Washington Ford. On my 2014 CPO Explorer I originally noticed that the liftgate was misaligned the day I purchased the car. According to line item 27, "Doors, Hood, Decklid/Tailgate Alignment", of the CPO checklist, the liftgate alignment should have been explicitly checked and corrected in order to receive certification. This clearly went unnoticed despite being certified as the left side stuck out about 1". Fast forward to present day 8mo later and my liftgate has rust bubbles penetrating the exterior. After taking the car to a local Ford dealer, they noticed that the liftgate has been unprofessionally patched (not to Ford quality) and where it was damaged is now experiencing rust. With this information I reached out to Washington Ford since this was not a disclosed issue when the vehicle was purchased despite line item 26 of the CPO inspection calling for a "Doors, Hood, Decklid/Tailgate and Roof Inspection" and being that I had a documented issue with the liftgate previously. It was requested that I drive to Washington Ford (5hrs round trip) in order for their people to inspect the liftgate. Upon doing so, the sales manager (not a service/warranty manager) looked at the liftgate and claimed that "if the issue is less than the size of a credit card there is no problem." Furthermore, he stated that he would still pass this vehicle as a CPO car despite seeing the flaws in the repair work. After a 15 minute debate of the sales manager, Kevin, contradicting himself whenever I would question his judgement on the issue, he ended the conversation claiming that he had "customers to deal with," as if I was not a paying customer of Washington Ford. Ultimately he left me with two options, "trade it in for something we have that you think is clean enough for you, or get on the road." To borrow another few quotes from Ford: "Before you hit the road in a Ford Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, we put every car, truck, SUV and crossover to the test. Only the vehicles that pass our 172-point inspection become Ford Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicles." "Before any vehicle can be called a Ford Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, it must pass a stringent 172-point inspection. Factory-trained technicians recondition any component that does not meet program standards, or they replace it with only new Ford Motorcraft® or Ford Authorized Remanufactured Parts." Kevin, the sales manager insisted that these quotes and their interpretations were merely my opinions despite the clear technical language written by Ford Motor Company regarding their CPO inspection. In conclusion, Washington Ford does not accurately and honestly inspect all of their CPO vehicles. If I could go back in time, I probably would not purchase another Ford due to the lack of accountability dealers are held to, but I ABSOLUTELY would not make a purchase from Washington Ford ever again based on their unwillingness to take responsibility for their shortcomings and treating a customer rudely in addition to being inconsiderate regarding the time and expense for me to make a 5hr drive for them to "inspect" my issue. read more

I had an appointment for an inspection this morning. Of course I forgot to update my insurance card in the truck. J T was the service manger who was helping me. He waited patiently while I tracked my info down and had it emailed to me. New truck, new insurance company, didn't have it on my phone yet like I normally do. Little bit of a hold up for the crew. JT was rad about the whole thing. Once they had the proper info they begin the work. Did not take long at all. He said it would Be done at 9:15 it was done at 9:09 I believe. They let me wait inside. I did not have a ride nor did I want to Uber home. I live pretty far from the dealership. This location is great. They had water and super clean bathrooms. I just watched some Netflix on my phone. The whole experience was great. My Dad uses this dealer. He has purchased two trucks now from them. I called to set the appointment up. Everything was super easy and freaky fast. I recommend this dealership. Personally I've only been there once for this one appointment. I will be back again. read more

This is the second review for this crap place. I bought an Explorer 2 years ago with the extended warranty. First review is about the leaking passenger door that was never repaired even though they had my vehicle many times and even sent it out for a repair. It was never repaired. I found the issue and told them exactly what it was, and yet they never listened or repaired it. Now, I had to take the vehicle back for a check engine light and my emergency brake light on when the brake was not engaged. I was told the brake issue is covered under my warranty and I would just owe my $100.00 deductible. Great. BUT the check engine light is not covered - a purge valve - and I would owe nearly $400.00 to have it repaired. Not Great. I do not trust this place. 2 years with a vehicle and multiple problems. Don was the service guy on all occasions and he does nothing to resolve the dissatisfaction. Beware of this dealership and their shady practices and vehicles. If you're in the market for a Ford - do NOT go to this dealership. They are so rude and obnoxious. In what world does spending $20,000 + get you the worst experience ever. And who in the hell expects you to make a snap decision on a car immediately...this is not an impulse purchase for most people. I was helping my dad with some car shopping and we did our research online the past few weeks and the Ford Focus made it on the list for some of the positive reviews its been receiving. So they were our first stop on a "test drive" day to whittle his prospects even further. The sales guy was super rude and condescending and then bluntly asked, "are you going to buy the car or not"...really, let's see you're the worst human being on the face of this earth so even if the car was what we wanted, you would never get the business. Save your self the time and aggravation and go to another dealership. During the day on our dealership visits, we had other sales people comment on this particular Ford dealership saying that people have often complained about their experience here. My fiancé and I had a nearly flawless experience here purchasing a used vehicle. Ryan Smith was our sales person and helped us make the process as easy as possible. The only complaint would be that they did a very poor job cleaning it. When spending $20k purchasing a vehicle, no matter New or Used, I would expect a clean ride. If zero stars would be a more appropriate choice for a rating. We are from Indiana and were vacationing in Pennsylvania, when our 2005 F350 broke down while hulling our camper. We brought our truck in to Washington Ford to have it checked out. Our service advisor was Helen. We at first thought everything was going to be great with our experience. However that was not the case. A diesel technician was able to take our truck for a drive, when he came back he told us the heads were blown, but needed to do some other testing. Helen told us that we would get things taken care of quickly and be back on the road. My husband's parents don't live far from Washington Ford, and were able to come get us. They gave us their car to get home. We told Helen to take as much time as was needed to do the job right, since we were able to get home. Helen kept in contact with my husband every day with updates. They even let us order the upgraded ARP head studs to put in and have them shipped to the service department. The technician had even noticed the oil leak and we had that fixed as well. We felt comfortable and like they were doing a great job. Fast forward 7 days. My in laws pick our truck up because the job is complete ($5500 later). The next day, they noticed leaking antifreeze, so they took it back to Washington Ford. Helen told my father in law that they would look at it but if it wasn't a part that they had touched there would be a charge for it. Clearly she knows nothing about what it takes to change heads on a diesel. Everything in that engine bay is touched or taken apart to fix the heads. It was a radiator hose and they replaced it at no cost. On Saturday, 7/28, we met my in laws in Ohio and picked up our truck and camper. We drove it home, happy to have it back. On Tuesday, my husband was looking the work over and noticed some things that weren't quite right. First, the filter minder was broken. Second, the 3 aftermarket wires we had nicely ran to our upfitter switches in wire loom, were all completely cut in half and sloppy put back together. One of the wires was to our backup camera which now does not work properly because it has been spliced (a $200 camera). We were charged $430 for a new oil cooler because ours was cracked, the part that is on the truck looks like the original oil cooler. It is covered it dirt and oil. We've seen enough new parts to know that after 500 miles they don't look like they've been on the vehicle since 2005. And the biggest of them all, we STILL have an oil leak. Now the leak is much worse then what it was before. My husband reached out to Helen via email about our concerns, which she did not reply to. My husband called Helen on the phone and she told him that only the parts they touched would be covered, again it's the entire engine bay that is touched. My husband voiced his concerns about the oil leak, cut wires, and old oil cooler, to which Helen could have cared less about. My husband tried to tell her that the truck should have been returned to us in better condition then what it came to them in, not worse, but Helen just doesn't care. She told us to call back on Monday when her boss is in. Needless to say were out a lot of money. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. And we are loyal Ford owners. Never have I seen such terrible workmanship from a garage. read more

My father in law, who is 60yrs old and retired, with very limited income has purchased a 2010 Ford F150 XTS for about $16,000 two years ago (about 20 monthly payments made). The truck ran alright for about a year and half, but then the motor started making noise. When he went to get it checked, they made a repair, obviously not to the motor because as soon as he came back home, the motor sound was back. They charged him for $600. He went back again, as he didn't want to have the motor blow up on him. They made another repair and charged him another $1,000. The problem prevailed. He was worried, and went back again confronting the sales team, the service department and even the manager. They turned a deaf ear on his pleas. They said he could have the motor replaced for another $6,000 and they would knock of what he paid in repairs or trade the truck in for $3,000 and get a new vehicle. The interesting part is that they admitted to the parts being bad and very conveniently changed. He had no choice and help to deal with the folks at Washington Ford. My wife and brother in law got involved, and resorted to social media to illicit a response from them. Someone from Ford called and they tried to work with him, lest still demanding money and a very cheap trade in. I have been a Ford customer solely because of my father in law. My first truck was a 2010 Ford F150 Lariat. I traded it in last month and got a 2018 Ford F150 King Ranch. I love Ford, but the dealerships are a whole different deal. These days and in this age, customer service is of the utmost importance and need to be evaluated on a case by case basis and on the situation of the individual. I understand profit is important and bottomline, but customer service drives that. The worst possible customer service from everyone involved at WASHINGTON FORD. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP if you want to get a good deal. Highly recommend Solomon Ford. I bought a Certified pre-owned 2016 for explorer sport from them with the expensive premium 'bumper to bumper' warranty. Found out it had previous bumper incident, repair cost $1,300, they offered $200 for my trouble. Also, the hood has corrosion that I thought was touch up paint (my mistake), that repair will not be covered by Washington Ford or Ford. Steer clear of Ford Explorer, Ford and Washington Ford. I have had my F-150 in for service numerous times and each time there is an issue or they can't fix it. IT always takes them a week to fix anything and most times the tech. doesn't look at the vehicle for a couple days after you drop it off. The latest debacle was over a noise from the passenger side wheel. I sent a video of the noise and even diagnosed it to tell the tech. it had to do with the vacuum line. I was loosing brake pedal, which was caused by loss of vacuum. This only happened when under long period of acceleration. This told me it wasn't the booster and it was something else. After a week of them having the truck they replaced the booster and check valve. Obviously they didn't listen to me or take the truck out for a test drive, because when I drove it home it immediately started to make the noise again. I looked over at the only other thing connected to the vacuum line and the passenger side vacuum line to the locker was broke. This tells me they didn't even test the vacuum on the system with a pump. This was the first thing they should have done. I replaced it with some new line and all is fixed. Every single time I have had the truck in for something Washington Ford has not been able to diagnose or even fix the problem if I tell them what I need done. All they can do is change the most expensive part that is related to what might be wrong. Take your money and flush it down the toilet before you consider Washington Ford or Woltz and Wind. read more

I had my wife take in our Escape because the ignition switch was faulty & needed replaced. Because we have over 100,000 miles the technician suggested new spark plugs and an anti-freeze flush. Luckily my wife was smart enough to say no, that her husband does that - and then she called me. This is the second time we've had work done there and will hopefully be the last. I HATE all the suggestions for additional work that isn't even remotely related to the problem. Would new plugs and antifreeze be good for the car - of course, but it's definitely not needed. I'm glad my wife was smart enough to say know, but I'm sure this happens to most women or people with little mechanical knowledge. Want to restore integrity? Try only fixing what's bad and not trying to run up the bill! read more

Car came with mykey activated and they did not include a second key. Instead of turning it off for us they want to charge us $100 for a new key. Every phone call and visit is literally hell. If I was the owner I'd opted out on burning the place down and running with the insurance money. I've tried to figure out while most people in washington pa are standoffs and not very welcoming and then I realized that many of them bought from washington ford. It then occurred to me that I'm a little more angry and hate life a little more since making the mistake of going to them. Last word of advice. When we bought the car we were there from 11 am til 9 pm in a trailer while construction was done on their new building. One 10 hours........?!? Are you looking for a new Ford? If so at all costs avoid Washington Ford on route 19. Went there today to buy a truck, the salesman made me a good price on a new Raptor. Supposedly the salesman was not allowed to offer prices, and then came back with an "approved price" that happened to be $2500 more expensive than the price we had already agreed upon. I then talked to the manager and was basically told "this is how we do business, doesn't matter if we gave you a price this is what you will pay." That is not a good way to go about business. If you are in the market for a new car avoid them. Also avoid Woltz and Wind Ford in Heidelberg, as the are the same owner. Besides having the prices changed on me, the salesman was rude throughout the time, and did not want to let me test drive the vehicle since they are "special" (not to mention the truck already had 68 miles on it). This has been the worst experience with a dealer I have ever had. Not only was the salesman rude, I was told they can change the price as they please and I walked around the lot for 15 minutes before I had to go inside and ask for assistance. Can't give negative five stars! Went to Washington Ford yesterday afternoon to look at cars. At first we liked our salesman Brian, because he didn't seem pushy and was super friendly. Test drove six or seven cars on our own (covid rules). Half of the cars didn't have working batteries and the salesman commented that it was because they had been "sitting for a long time" and of course, "the cold weather". Two of the cars had dings, dents, scratched up rims, and foggy rear lights. These were cars in the 15,000-20,000 dollar range! Finally found a car that we agreed on and they refused to lower the price one penny because "They were basically paying 90 dollars for us to drive it off the lot" (yeah, right). We had no trade and agreed to put four grand down and we were told that we would have a payment of 240 a month. We went home to get a plate that we were transferring and they told us to come back at 4pm (they close at 5!) When we returned we went to sign the contract and the down payment on it was wrong. We were then told that the salesman had "made a mistake" and our payments would actually be twenty dollars more a month. Then the salesman said "It's only twenty dollars". Maybe so, but it's our twenty dollars and over the course of the loan it would of been at least an additional 1200 dollars. He then tried to argue that he was somehow saving us 1000 dollars??? We then angrily stormed out, and basically lost four hours of our life to this bullshit! WE DO NOT BELIEVE FOR ONE SECOND THAT THE SALESMAN MADE AN ERROR...AND IF SO, WHY SHOULD WE PAY FOR IT? THEY ARE SHARKS AND WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM. We are just so grateful that we didn't get a car from them. We believe that they will lie about anything! And why do all of their used cars have dead batteries? It just doesn't make sense. read more

I will leave the initial verbiage below, but they upheld their commitment of sending a check to cover what was not completed as we had agreed. 4 out of 5 because I would have preferred for it to have been taken care of initially. Initial experience was reasonably good. Salesperson was not pushy car was good, price was reasonable. Great. However, there were no floor mats, and no front license plate bracket. As we live in Ohio, part of the deal was that they include floor mats and install a front license plate bracket. When I arrived to pick up the car, there were no floor mats, and no license plate bracket. The floor mats were put in after my insistence, but they "didn't have" a license plate bracket, so they had to mail one. Well, they did mail one, unfortunately, I don't live in Europe so it will not help me. If it was not a 90 minute drive I would not have taken possession of the car. They have stated they will refund the price we paid to have the CORRECT bracket attached, if they do, I will adjust the rating to be substantially better. read more

I guess I'll start by saying I'm sorry I found my dream Toyota at a Ford dealership. Spent six months looking for my perfect vehicle, trim, color everything but the hood scoop. We had three hours til they closed and Bajorski didn't even let me drive it before saying I should hurry and make a decision. Okay settle dahn bruh. Good thing I researched this vehicle since the day they got it on the lot. Two days my mechanic checked it all and everything is new on it. Just really cheap. Well the brakes are squeaking and my mechanic tells me to drive it because they are new brakes. 3000 miles later. ( Thank goodness you don't need to know math to sell a car at a Ford dealership) Still squeaking so I take it to the dealership. They tell me they cannot " recreate the sound" The squeak that's there when you slow down, or turn and brake, or stop at a stop sign. So of course I ask for a manager. 25k. Do not trust Washington Ford. They sold me a previously wrecked 2018 Ford fusion. They passed it off as a Ford certified vehicle with a clean carfax. What a sucker i was. After noticing occasional noises and hearing air coming in from time to time I finally took it to a trusted garage and told them what I was suspecting. As the shop owner walked towards the car he got within 5 feet and said "yeah it's been in a wreck". He then showed me numerous paint imperfections and tapeline marks as well as sanding marks on the paint and the crime trim. He then spotted various body parts that were not lined up properly including the trunk door and the rear window. The body work was done so poorly that "titanium" was even spelled wrong when they put this mess back together. There also seems like there may be front end issues that I am having checked out. I'm not even sure that the car is safe to drive. Washington ford performed the 172 point inspection as the car was not certified when they received it. What a scam. Research other reviews and you will see that this common practice at Washington Ford. Others have been shafted by them as well. While discussing my situation with a few different people i learned of two other people in my town that had the same thing happen to them at Washington Ford. One of the managers, I believe his name is jeff told me to come in and they will appraise the car and offer me to trade it in. LOL.. What a comedian that Jeff is. I guess they wanted to see if they could rip me off a second time. The Ford regional office is of no help either. They claim that Pennsylvania state consumer laws only cover new cars. Ford obviously has no problem with corrupt dealerships like Washington Ford. Ford themselves are probably part of the scam. This is my 4th Ford vehicle and trust me, it will be the last. I came out of a HONDA CIVIC to get into this salvaged piece of junk Fusion. Once I get this mess sorted out i will be back in a HONDA for life. I try to support a company like Ford and they pull this scam on me, the unsuspecting customer. Twenty three thousand dollars down the drain. Next step is the Better Business Bureau,Attorney Generals Office and other Consumer Protection Offices that are available to see what my legal options are. I cant wait to get out of this car. Can't stand even looking at it knowing that I was scammed. My advice to others... STAY AWAY FROM WASHINGTON FORD as well as WOLTZ AND WIND FORD.. same owners, same THIEVES!!!!! And yes Ford is in its last year or years of making some of their lemons.. It won't be long before they go down the drain just like Oldsmobile and Pontiac. I guess desperate dying companies do desperate things to try to hang on and stay afloat until they finally sink. I can't wait to see them fail. And to the scammers working at Washington Ford, please do me a favor. When Ford finally sinks, please don't go to work at South hills Honda or Toyota.. Do something else.. Went to another dealer for Ford Mustang service. Asked to have all my fluids flushed they told me wasn't due. Went Washington ford and they do what you ask. See neither of them knew I was preparing it for storage. Don't tell me what manufacturer recommends just do what I ask. Thank you Washington ford you always just do what I ask and don't try to nail me with unnecessary repairs. They are flexible and courteous. don't know why I tried different ford garage. read more

Sorry for long review but worth the read before going to this nightmare of a dealership. Drove 1.5 hours to this dealership to look at a "certified " ford SUV after a long day at work. I asked 3 times before coming to be sure it was indeed certified. After getting there they tell us the car is not actually certified and it was a mistake by them, after talking they said they would certify it for us. We let is slide and went home planning to pick It up after the inspection 2 days later. While filling out the financing info they call us and say it cant be certified because the air bags have gone off before. Frustrated we asked what they could do for us or how they could make it right. They said we could pick another vehicle and they would give us their best price on it. We found another SUV very similar with less miles, it was the closest to the original one we found but 4000 more! We call and they say they would only do $150 off and nothing more. That alone was insulting after the false information but we decided to fill out the application and get some numbers worked out before we drove up there again. Everything was together on the dealers standpoint so they said, so we made the 1.5 hour trip up there again excited to leave with our new car. Not 30 seconds after sitting at the sales mans desk he says we have a problem. There was an issue with the financing that they assured us several times was not going to be a problem until we got there... again. After screwing up not once but twice they would do nothing to try and make it right. Sales manager kevin McCory was extremely greety and disrespectful stating " im going to sell the car weather its to you or someone else" they asked if they could do anything to help for such the inconvenience, free oil change?, gas card ?, anything to make getting this SUV from them worth it after being pushed around and lied too wasting our time and gas on several occasions and he would do nothinggg. The salesmen/managers were unorganized with their info and delivered the worst customer experience ive ever had at a dealership. After this experience we left and I never plan to return as well as my friends and family members who are faithful ford customers. Nightmare of a car experience. after a previous atrocious experience we figured maybe it was an isolated incident.... it was not... not only that but they were rude, short, and very ambivalent about even selling a car. I've bought a lot of cars in my 38 years and i will tell you that this is the worst dealership by far that i have ever had an experience(s) with.
