I booked an 80K service and transmission service online with appointment. Long story short, they charged me over twice as much for the transmission service - when I called and asked what the disconnect was, Chad had the balls (or lack of brain cells) to threaten to not release my vehicle if I didn't pay the updated price. He stated the online price is not correct (failed to advise me prior to taking my vehicle) and felt he had a position to keep my vehicle from me. WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP. So let me get this straight: you consciously know that the online price is wrong, and you fail to advise customers when taking in their vehicles, then threaten to not return the vehicle unless they fork up payment?? ARE YOU NUTS? At that point, I didn't even care about the price anymore, I went back for my truck as soon as it was done, and swiped my black credit card. YOU ARE NO ONE TO THREATEN ME WITH MY OWN PROPERTY. Now I know this is one dealer I don't have to take my business to, and will be ordering my wife's new Sierra at another location. I have been a mechanic for many years. I used to buy Napa Auto Parts almost always. I felt the…read moreparts were good quality, although more expensive than others. It does not pay to install poor quality parts on a car, they come back, and bite you!  Unfortunately, a few years ago it seems Napa changed their policy on quality. This happened around the time they totally changed the on-line site.  Around the same time, I started looking at Rock Auto on-line. Rock Auto offers each part by a few different manufacturers, quality levels, and prices. I started noticing that despite Napa still charging higher prices, they were now supplying the cheapest, lowest quality parts instead of the better quality they were known for.  Given that, why would a person order from Napa, when Rock Auto is surprisingly lower priced, and you have a quality level choice . Napa seems to be riding on their previous well known name, while keeping the prices artificially high.   Some prime examples of this is, I purchased a starter solenoid, (eckland, Napa's electrical brand), as a preventative measure. The third start-up, after installing, the solenoid froze in the on position, with key off, and kept the starter spinning and engaged until I could unhook one battery terminal. Burned up the relay, starter, and a couple wires.  I purchased a rebuilt alternator, took it from the box, and turned it, it felt rough turning, as if there was dirt in the bearing race or defective bearing components. I purchased Napa's best fuel pump, and it was very noisy from day one. I purchased a set of Napa Branded, 2 ton each, jack stands. One of them had a defective casting that would not allow the stop to lock in place. Although it seemed it locked, when weight was applied, it fell.  I purchased rebuilt Ford Front calipers from Napa, and with in one year, the unplated soft steel bleeder screws has rusted solid to the caliper! I heard from a NAPA rep, and he said due to competition, quality had to suffer, BUT WAIT, isn't quality the whole point. Especialy when still charging the higher quality prices.

I…read morebooked a simple appointment for new tires, balance and alignment. took them 8 hours, they came out just before closing to tell me they don't have the cone to balance tires on a Toyota then billed me a higher rate than I got quoted on their website, and sent me home with a poorly balanced tire set that shook the steering wheel. My car is now undriveable. it's been a full week, I've called the store and corporate office a dozen times. They have not offered a solution or refund. what should've been a 1-2 hour tire change turned into me not being able to drive my vehicle for over a week. I have a case opened with corporate office, all they can do is tell me somebody will call me back. nobody does. Do not under any circumstance get any service from Pep Boys.

I had a bumper, winch and fog light install. Then I've had a Performance Cold Air Intake install as well recently. So I've been in 3 different times. These dudes rock. They told me how much, didn't have any hidden fees or charging me for extra hours. I was told it would be this much. Sometimes it would be less because it didn't take as long. I've been mostly dealing with Chris. Lee is cool too though. I just walked across the street had some really good brunch across the street. Once I had a hair cut down the street. This last time I had breakfast and came back my Ranger was done 15 mins later. Derek in the back has been awesome. I had a mouse nest in my old airbox. He was mad nice and wasn't judgmental about it. Glad I was having it removed for the new intake. But still, everyone there is super experienced and good at what they do. I will be back for more. My truck looks great. They did some amazing work under the hood and with my fog lights. They have been doing this longer than I've been alive. I recommend calling them for prices and work. They are local, it's good to support you're local business these days. I've been treated with nothing but respect with this business. Great location. I've actually saved money using them instead of a the big guys. You're not just a number. They care.

Bait & Switch Dealership…read more Inquired about car online. They called me and asked if I'd like to test drive next day. They didn't say the car was sold. Called them 1 hour beforehand to say was coming to see car and I'd be a little late. They said that was fine, come on in. The didn't say car was sold. Drove an hour to get there. Waited for salesman 1/2 hour. Yet they didn't say car was sold. Spent 1/2 hour talking with salesman who asked about the cars I have, financing, my credit rating, .... Finally said we're getting ahead of ourselves and I just want to test drive car. Yet again, didn't say car was sold. Waited another 1/2 hour for him to get the keys. He comes back and tell me bad news and good news. The car I wanted was sold but he had another car, but the one he tried to sell me was $17,000 more. The same car I went to see is still on their website. I guess to dupe other unsuspecting consumers looking to buy a car. Highly unethical dealership. Will be staying away. Ironically, I did buy a car from them years earlier and they were fine. Will be disregarding any positive ratings they have as they've clearly changed. They ended up wasting 3 hours of my day. Not to mention time I spent online, another hour, looking at their website. Not a way I wanted to start a relationship with a dealer. But clearly, they are not to be trusted. Suspect the Mercedes dealership is the same.
