AND you like to be charged a non negotiable extra $699 for ceramic coating, an extra $699 for Lojack tracking and an extra $399 for some kind of electronic etching of the VIN on parts that could possibly be stolen. Bait & Switch Dealership…read more Inquired about car online. They called me and asked if I'd like to test drive next day. They didn't say the car was sold. Called them 1 hour beforehand to say was coming to see car and I'd be a little late. They said that was fine, come on in. The didn't say car was sold. Drove an hour to get there. Waited for salesman 1/2 hour. Yet they didn't say car was sold. Spent 1/2 hour talking with salesman who asked about the cars I have, financing, my credit rating, .... Finally said we're getting ahead of ourselves and I just want to test drive car. Yet again, didn't say car was sold. Waited another 1/2 hour for him to get the keys. He comes back and tell me bad news and good news. The car I wanted was sold but he had another car, but the one he tried to sell me was $17,000 more. The same car I went to see is still on their website. I guess to dupe other unsuspecting consumers looking to buy a car. Highly unethical dealership. Will be staying away. Ironically, I did buy a car from them years earlier and they were fine. Will be disregarding any positive ratings they have as they've clearly changed. They ended up wasting 3 hours of my day. Not to mention time I spent online, another hour, looking at their website. Not a way I wanted to start a relationship with a dealer. But clearly, they are not to be trusted. Suspect the Mercedes dealership is the same.

Nothing special, simple picture and was told to "watch the website for when all of the pictures are uploaded". Really???? The vehicle was in their detail shop or out for detail (don't know) and that was the reason for his response. And he said "I forget all the time, so it's best to just keep checking the website". Huh.... Really??? Here's an option, maybe ask the detail person to take a picture with their phone and then you can send it to me. The speed of light is 186k mps/per second which is the speed the picture would travel down/across a fiber network (minus network limitations). Pretty quick, provides quality customer service and easy too. Oh well, not to worry. I've been a salesman all my life and in my 60's now and I can assure you I will not be "checking your website" for updates.

Paid top dollar for a one year old "Certified Pre-Owned " Tahoe that was described by sales manager…read more"as good or better than new". Realized after we bought it that it sat noticeably higher than other Tahoes. Turns out that it had an aftermarket lift installed. It never should have been sold as Certified with any aftermarket modifications. They removed the lift but the vehicle has had shudder and vibration intermittently since we got it. Several trips to their service department and they "can't reproduce the problem " and claim there is no problem with the vehicle. This is our fifth Chevy/GMC full size SUV and I have driven several other new vehicles. I know what is normal and abnormal vehicle behavior. Also, they told us that two maintenance visits were included. When we took the vehicle for the prescribed maintenance, only the oil change and tire rotation was covered. They charged $60 for a cabin filter that was part of the manufacturer maintenance schedule. DON'T BUY FROM WASHINGTON CHEVROLET.

I knew I should not have even stopped to charge here, I haven't been here in months and had to…read morebecause the charger at Hyundai wasn't working and I couldn't make it anywhere else but I will never be back here ever again. They charge an outrageous amount for a hold on the ev charger off your card which is $50 but then the machine don't work the first 3 times and it still takes $50 kevery time you swipe that card oh and it won't be back on for 48hrs. This place is a ripoff, any other chargers take maybe $25 and they put it right back if it isn't that much to charge. They don't hold it for days and days. And to take a $50 hold every time it's swiped because the machine is messed up is just wrong. If it wasn't charging why did they take $150 and I get told oh it will take 24-48hrs to go back on and that's wrong because it took over a week last time this happened and the reason I haven't been back till now. This place sucks, I won't be using these ever again and I sure as heck wouldn't buy a car here if this is the kind of carp they pull with people just using the ev chargers. I guess I won't be buying food the next 24-48hrs because Washington ford is holding $150 of mine for a charge that cost $14. I will be calling the bank and seeing if this would be fraud charges because that is just insane. If you need an EV charger don't bother giving them a dime there is ones right up the road at Hyundai that don't even take a hold off your card let alone have it mess up so they can take $150 and keep it collecting interest for days and days and days. Imagine how much they'd rip you off if you bought a car here.

I had my F150 towed there overnight for an engine cooling system problem. I read the trouble codes…read morewith my scanner right before the tow truck took it. When Washington Ford's service department called me the next morning for details, I told them that it was having a problem with the engine cooling system and asked them to look into replacing the "Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor" (CHT), a 20 min job max. After they took an hour to diagnose the problem in the afternoon (at $115/hr), Andrea Baumgardner from the service dept called to let me know that I needed to have "the engine coolant temp sensor, knock sensor, and various one time use parts (gaskets)" changed. She then told me something along the lines of how the truck was running rough and they expected to find some more issues after the repair.. I asked her how the tech came to this conclusion vs the CHT sensor I hade mentioned earlier and she offered up "Not to be a smart a**, but they are the professionals." The initial total price quoted for these repairs was approximately $1,475.00. I'm not sure if that price included the initial $115 diagnostic fee or not. One of the attached pictures shows their "diagnosis" and their quoted prices for repairs. After some time to think it over, I declined any repairs and had the truck towed back to my house. Now, I don't claim to be a professional auto mechanic by any means, but I am a pretty accomplished professional in an electrical maintenance field. Within an hour, I had proven that it was the CHT sensor that I had previously thought using nothing more than a volt-ohm meter and a laptop. One of the attached pictures shows a screen cap of a basic graph showing the CHT sensor on the top 3 lines and the coolant temp sensor on the bottom 3 lines. The picture should speak for itself. After getting a new sensor and changing it out in under 15 minutes, my truck runs perfectly normal. I spent around $160 total which includes 2 towing services and the sensor but does not include their $115 "diagnostic" fee. After some time to reflect, I can't decide whether the service department members I dealt with were either incompetent or trying to commit malicious fraud to steal more money out of my pocket for a relatively minor repair. I do know that the $115 diagnostic fee was money well spent to learn that I could not trust this service department with my vehicle or my wallet. I took the time to write this out so that you could consider finding a mechanic elsewhere that you can trust.

Washington Hyundai made the whole car-buying process shockingly simple, like "why wasn't it always…read morethis easy?" simple. From start to finish, the team was friendly, patient, and dialed in. Brian, the GM, set the tone right away, straightforward, no nonsense, and genuinely focused on helping. Joe, my salesman, was incredible to work with. He listened, didn't push, and actually helped me land on the right vehicle instead of the most expensive one. And Deshaun in Finance made the paperwork part painless (which almost feels illegal, finance is never supposed to be that smooth). No pressure. No games. No hours-long back-and-forth. Just honest people doing their jobs really well. If every dealership operated the way Washington Hyundai does, car buying wouldn't have the bad reputation it does. I'll definitely be back, and I'm sending friends their way, too.
