This was the shop selected from our insurance company after we had a collision with a deer which was primarily hood damage and it took them over a month to get my SUV repair it went past my rental agreement, which had to come out of my pocket and then as soon as I got it back, the oil light was flashing and we brought it back the next day to be told that they didn't have wrenches an OBD2 scanner. meanwhile, they somehow use something to scan my car to see what was wrong with it !? odd... all they seem to want to do is get me out of the door without fixing repairing or offering any services to me. read more

Paid top dollar for a one year old "Certified Pre-Owned " Tahoe that was described by sales manager "as good or better than new". Realized after we bought it that it sat noticeably higher than other Tahoes. Turns out that it had an aftermarket lift installed. It never should have been sold as Certified with any aftermarket modifications. They removed the lift but the vehicle has had shudder and vibration intermittently since we got it. Several trips to their service department and they "can't reproduce the problem " and claim there is no problem with the vehicle. This is our fifth Chevy/GMC full size SUV and I have driven several other new vehicles. I know what is normal and abnormal vehicle behavior. Also, they told us that two maintenance visits were included. When we took the vehicle for the prescribed maintenance, only the oil change and tire rotation was covered. They charged $60 for a cabin filter that was part of the manufacturer maintenance schedule. DON'T BUY FROM WASHINGTON CHEVROLET. read more

I purchased a 2018 Grand Jeep Cherokee 4x4 from Washington Chevrolet. Exactly the same year, make model, with comparable miles to my 2x4 Grand Cherokee. Thus my knowledge and understanding of the vehicle was extensive. The sales rep Ray was very helpful, kind, and thorough. He was far from the issue here. Keeping the topic points short and concise: One day following the purchase, the LCD screen failed to function, leaving the driver with no control over the heated seats, or radio, or electronic controls. Shortly after the purchase, the car's brake disk locked on a busy and fast stretch of highway. (The towing company driver pointed out that there was no caliper bolt, the caliper had rotated and locked. Pictures and video were gathered at this time) On a phone call later that week, Washington's admin staff was told audibly that the caliper had cracked. No clear and or irrefutable evidence was shown proving that this as the cause of the brakes locking. Lastly, when left out in the rain, the roof takes on water. That water leaked through the light, onto the back passenger (My son) This issue also causes the windows to freeze and become inoperable. 2021 saw the highest prices for used cars. The turnover likely caused pressure and also opportunity within the used car industry. I'm this case, I feel it was negligent, and avoidable. I will not be returning to Washington Chevrolet as a result of this regretful purchase. read more

we have used Washington for some time for service. about a year ago they failed my truck inspection for front brakes. I ordered the parts overnight and pulled the wheels the next morning. the pads weren't even at 50%. I went ahead and cha fed them out, but I took ate originals to show them. They waived the inspection fee, but it cost me much more in time and parts changing stuff out. it wasn't as if the brakes were close to passing, it was a huge error or scam to sell parts and service. We were going to trade in our blazer and Silverado a couple months ago on a new Colorado. The sales manager lowballed the trade in and was very arrogant and related our vehicles to being junk. my wife was very upset at his demeanor and we left. yesterday I received a call from who I thought was GM. she explained they want to buyback my truck. I explained the scenario and she assured me the offer would be good. She made an appointment with the sales manager for next week for the appraisal, but I was driving past the dealership on my way from an appointment. I went in and spoke to the sales manager. he stated that they wouldn't offer any more than the trade offer. he had an attitude about the who thing. stated well they would need to make money on the deal. keep in mind that the truck has a new crate motor from GM with less than 5,000 miles on it. they were offering 50% less than KBB high trade. They did the same with the 2019 blazer. it only has 65,000 miles on it. neither vehicle is beat or excessive wear. the sales manager treats you as if you are dumb and couldn't know anything about vehicles or values. The sales manager goes above giving you the sales speech. He insults your intelligence. I cannot figure out how this guy made it to be a manager. They have to be losing business over this practice. We've used their service for almost 15 years, but the unethical appearance of customer service we've experienced will mean moving on. We've been GM people for years, but have never seen things this bad with dealers and customer service. read more

They decided to send out letters in the mail that look like checks but it's just some mid leading pre approval for an auto loan. Never would ship here to begin with but getting that false marketing ploy in the mail left a bad taste in my mouth in regards to this place and how they do business. read more

I called around to nearby dealerships and locksmiths to make a second key for my Chevy since I had misplaced my only copy. My husband called Washington Chevrolet and received a quote of $100 from Jim in the service department so we decided to go here. He called twice to confirm the price and that we just wanted another key made and that I'd be arriving soon. When I arrived they confirmed that I needed another key made and told me to wait and someone would be right with me. I waited for three hours without anyone telling me they were doing something different to my vehicle. When I was told it was finished, not only had they made a new key , meaning my old key no longer worked, they had charged me over DOUBLE my quote. When asked about why I was given a run around. Running back to talk to managers, telling me they couldn't do anything, not knowing what I was talking about. They finally knocked off $20 once I insisted the honor my AAA discount, still leaving my total to $200. Had I known going there would be such a nightmare I would have never gone there. I would not recommend and would advise against going. Very unhelpful and don't follow through on what they promise. read more

I buy a truck or a car every year or so between my business and my personal needs, so I am a bit more familiar with the buying process. Having said that, I don't know whether these guys are dishonest, just incompetent or a combination of both, I caught them trying to charge me a few hundred dollars more on fees and taxes. I normally would have walked out, but because I drove all the way from Long Island, NY located right outside of NYC, I had to waste a couple of hours of my time pointing out the "mistakes." Because of the shortage of trucks, we decided to go out all the way to the Pittsburg area to get the right combination of the capabilities and options. Even when we were trying to register the vehicle in NYS DMV, we were told that these guys forwarded incorrect paperwork and that the whole paperwork had to be sent back to the dealership and send back out to DMV again. I ended up making multiple trips to DMV because of it. Additionally, there is a program called Business Choice which would enable us to receive an additional $500 rebate. But because these guys were not familiar with the program, I ended up wasting a lot of time again, and we ended up not receiving the rebate. I spoke with the regional coordinator of the program, and I was told that these guys really do not sell too many commercial vehicles and that they are probably not very familiar with the program. I don't mind them not knowing about it, but I do mind them not trying. If you are thinking of buying a car or a truck from these guys, please be aware, lest you end up wasting time like me. read more

We have had positive experiences with this dealership in the past. However, after this last experience... We will never return ourselves or recommend the dealership to anyone. We purchased an expensive brand new SUV from them and it immediately started malfunctioning. It was in their service department on 4 different occasions and they could not fix the problem. Then, they screwed us out of an additional $1000 with the vehicle buy back. They blamed us for "misunderstanding" the time period of their buy back offer, but they mysteriously lost the vehicle appraisal paperwork from their file. When we questioned the sales manager about how the value was reduced by $1000 in 3 weeks... He threw the key fob on the counter and announced "I'm Done!". Well Washington Chevy...... Got my car towed there to replace a fuel pump because it broke down in Washington, PA. Estimated to cost $1500 - $2000.00 and told me my battery needs replaced. Proceeded to get the car towed back to my hometown. Fuel Pump replaced under $650.00 and the battery was not an issue, it is holding a charge just fine. Do not get your car serviced there. read more

Was not offered a loaner for warranty repairs. This is the second time my wife has had the oil changed and her next service due sticker was not changed. This recent time they neglected to reset the meter in the dash. The cashier was also rude and acted very put out that they had coded our bill wrong, like it was somehow our fault she didn't bill it as warranty! read more
