I visited here for the 2nd time this summer and the food was just as good! The only issue that I really had was how long the food took. I got 6 wings and the appetizer of cheese curds. When my travels took me out to Wauseon, Yelp led me to Warrior Wings. Good Yelp, gooood Yelp! Here's how it works: You're in Wauseon and you want wings. You walk into WW and you give your order to a cute and friendly ("Dad, I have a major crush on the girl who took our order") counter attendant. You pay, and then take a seat and wait for a while while the kitchen actually cooks your fresh food. Finally, she brings it out to you. You're welcome. The wings are fantastic. They're big and meaty. Plenty of drumsticks, too. We only ordered the hot Buffalo sauce, but they all the sauces sounded very good. The wings were perfectly baked and they tasted like wing heaven. The chicken tenders were very lightly battered and were also fantastic. The batter doesn't have a ton of its own flavor, but then again, that's what sauces are for. I had waterbeer (Coor's light), but they also offer a few IPAs and some other stuff...nothing exotic. Note that there is a lot more on the menu than just wings. This is a great little spot that used to be a service station. The inside is spotless (including both bath rooms) and modern. As you might expect from a repurposed service station, there are functional garage doors that really open the place up, and, there is an outdoor patio/grassy area that's shaded. I've never been a huge fan of wings...the more anatomically similar the food is to the living animal, the less I liked it. But recently, I realized that I've been a god damned fool. Welcome to my new favorite haunt. I don't know why I put off trying this place. Maybe it's because of the 900 wrong assumptions I had about it, like that it was tiny inside of an old garage, or that it was another lame wing spot place, or that it was gimmicky, idk whatever it was, I WAS WRONG. First of all, it's so spacious and cool inside, with long tables and huge tv's. And also two really nice bathrooms. It's the perfect place to gather. And the food? Shut up delicious. Their combos are a great price for absolutely huge portions. And not just what you get, but the actual chicken is huge. The chunks and wings, never been able to finish my order of either! I always get the 6 Wing MRE combo with tots. I do prefer the tots over the fries. My go-to sauces are Sweet Chili (no spice) and Mango Habanero (nice heat). These wings are not breaded and perfectly cooked with a crisp to the skin and moist chicken inside. My husband loves the boneless chunks, and is a huge fan of getting half pickle dry rub, and half lemon pepper dry rub. Their cheese curds and fried mushrooms were a huge hit, the fried pickles were a little too much breading though. Stopped in for lunch on Friday. You order at the counter then grab a seat in the clean and sleek dining area. Obviously they have wings. The price is average. Over all we just grabbed wings and tenders. I tried a few of the sauces. The hot had a good bite and didn't burn my lips off. The mango habanero is more mango then habanero. The garlic Parmesan was average. They offer crinkle cut fires or tator tots. We also grabbed some pretzels as well. They serve a few beers in the can and fountain pop as well. The building itself is modern and very easy on the eyes, I love what they've don't to it. I noticed this restaurant when I was driving through Waseon and came back later last week with my nana to try it out. The service was amazing, the lady at the counter was patient since it was our first time and recommended a few things. After our order was taken, she had served about 12 more people and I had gone up to place a to go order and she remembered my name, which is really impressive. The menu itself has a lot of options, and I love the 'MRE' placed at the end of each item, it's a unique touch. I ordered the 4 piece tender MRE with French fries. My nana ordered them with onion rings and we got the fried pickles as an appetizer. They also had a variety of sauces to pick from. I usually only eat bbq sauce but since it was my first time I tried their warrior sauce, and I was not disappointed. It reminds me of thousand island with a relish taste to it. The food was hot and fresh. The fried pickels, French fries, and onion rings were all crunchy and full of flavor. The chicken was what I was wanting to judge though. It's been really hard to find a resturaunt up here that makes a good chicken tender like I had in the south growing up, and this place hit it right on the nail. There was a perfect batter to chicken ratio. They were crunchy and seasoned and were juicy on the inside. They also hive a roll on the side with the meals. I was surprised that the roll had a crucny crust on it, ive never had that before and it was delicious. The prices are a little more than what I'm used to paying for food that is similar, but in my opinion, it was worth every penny. Terrible and I mean TERRIBLE service. They messed up my order by not giving me sauce with wings, not a big deal. So I just asked to get the sauce and showed my receipt. This caused attitude and an argument between employees where the cook was not going to give my sauce that I paid for. They were nasty and rude with me and then I finally got a small cup with a splash (maybe enough for one wing) in it. I was so disappointed to be treated this way when you pay such a high price!
