I think this was a great experience and a must-do for any tourist in LA. The WB Studios are beautiful and the staff are great. The VIP tour lasts two hours and I think the experience varies from tour to tour but it was really cool to see the outdoor and indoor sets, props, museums, etc. The experience is expensive ($54/person + $7 for parking) but it was so cool and I definitely recommend it! read more

My friend and I came here to see the MTV Movie awards in April. We were impressed about how well structured and well planned everything was as soon as we got there. The WB Lot is pretty cool. I have a friend that works there, so I was able to walk around the lot with her. The lot is huge, has lots of streets that are very recognizable from the movies. There's also a forest inside that they use. It's really neat to see, and she said it's even better when they are shooting because all the sets come alive. read more

This was so much better than the Florida Universal studio and Disney "studio" or backlot tours. Very informative and the guides are very knowledgable. Saw the Ellen and Friends sets which was interesting. Walking and touring on a cart was well balanced and mixed things up a bit. Seeing the various bat-mobiles was pretty cool as was the museum at the end of the tour which had all of the various movie paraphernalia. The one disappointment was that the Big Bang Theory was filming as it would have been great to see the set. In comparison to the Sony tour, this one wins hands down. It was so much more tangible by at least seeing many of the sets that were being described as opposed to the Sony tour which just talked about what and who did what in various closed studio stages. read more

I went to warner brothers studio for a taping of the conan show and had a blast. warner brothers is very organized and we got to walk through the studio a little bit before the show which was awesome. Connans stage was small and fun. I love this show and he was great. I came to waner brothers to see a tapping of the bingbang theory . oh one important thing when you come to see their shows don't bring your cell, cause theyr will make you take your cell back to the car. but other is a great place. read more

Tour was great and well worth the money. New interactive segment had just opened 3 days prior and was outstanding. The real reason for this review is to point out the employees there who are great on the tour and great, honest, human beings. My wife lost her Ray Ban Aviators (brand new) in the gift shop at the end of the tour and didn't realize it til we were home in Chicago. Just in case I called and after follow up with 2 outstanding employees had my Ray Ban returned to my home. Thank you very much Sade and Casey for your honesty and follow up. 2014 YELP 365 CHALLENGE - 224/365 Came here for a taping of The Real daytime talk show and the experience was lame. I enjoyed the free parking, but the parking lot enterance to garage 8 was short and backed into street traffic. The whole "taping" experience was lame because they were disorganized. It wasn't even first come first serve, it was first ones to run to the line get in. They should be handing out numbers for those who showed up at 6:45a for the 8:00a call time. It's not fair that people get to roll in at 7:55a and get first in line just because they were closer or ran faster to the security line when the coordinator said "GO!" Once in the security line, they counted us and gave ME a piece of paper that said STOP, meaning the end of the line to get in to the audience. As soon as that happened, several parties started cutting people in line. Nothing was organized. So by the time we got to security, my party of 2 and another party of 2 were turned away with the rest of the crowd because they "miscounted." I tried to tell him it was because people were cutting the line but they didn't care. Why wouldn't those who showed up early be given numbers to guarantee them seats? Many other shows do that. Then the coordinator said he would get us in the front of the line next taping at 1:30, but refused to write our names down, he said i'll try to remember your face. And THEN he asks us to leave and buy pink shirts because it's the breast cancer awareness episode. How much more can we be inconvenienced? Of course, we didn't come back. read more

I won 4 tickets to go on the VIP tour and I was excited to see how things were produced. I read the reviews including the negative ones and took them with a grain of salt and figured not everyone has the same taste. An hour into the tour, the 4 of us were so bored once we started driving around the parking lots and driving through the wood shop where they make the sets. We were waiting for her to point out restrooms that is how ridiculous it felt seeing some of the things on this tour! Our guide Blair pointed out buildings and Shameless was filming that day but we did not see them. Towards the end she was kinda getting upset with the group and yelling at us "we are behind schedule! keep moving faster!" and and she sounded annoyed. We were running late because she picked us up late from the museum so it was her fault. She would point things out in the prop room and we would look at that item and then she would yell at us "you have to watch out for people! look behind you!" We were all over her and the tour at that point and couldn't wait to get off the cart. I am not a complainer, but if I had to pay $50 each for these tickets, I would have been upset. Although it was cool to see the friends set recreated and to sit on the couch. That was the highlight of the trip. She kept referencing 80's movies like Pee Wee and say "remember the scene..." No Blair, I do not remember the scene since it was 20 years ago... IMHO, It was not worth it. But one girl on the tour said "This was the best tour ever!" So to each his own... read more

I, today received a bias account of discrimination while going through the process of being an audience member for the talk show the Real at the WB studios. Thought this show was centralized around diversity and coming together as people from ALL backgrounds. What a shameful and discouraging experience I encountered.... Eager and excited to see the talk show The Real, my friend and I showed up early morning with ticket in hand... (not all are guarantee to be on the real and was understood before coming to the show, hence why we came early) We were close to the front of the line but soon migrated farther back because of the growing number of people cutting. In conjunction to the line, the crew passed out cards for people to be in the audience from all parts of the line. We noticed the MANY that were selected were all that from two races! Were is the diversity people!!!! Is our skin not good enough to be on your show? What a shame.... After hearing the news we didn't make the cut to be on the real, the remaining people in line were told to sign a paper with a guarantee spot the next time around. Again, a line formed for the chance to come back. As we were the next person (person after the one signing the paper) a crew member for the show looked me up and down and rudely said "these group of girls are going to sign before you"and moved us to the back of the line. What the hell??!!!!!! Oh, and btw not one person of our race was selected in the group of audience members....now that should tell you something. Way to go WB and the real on having diversity. read more

We had a great time here! Spent several hours in the interactive Studio 48... Harry Potter movie simulator and the Friends set were highlights! Our tour guide was ok...he spoke very fast. Giving 4 starts because online it advertises you get to see the Prop Department which I was looking forward to. In our tour we drove by it and our tour guide (while speaking super fast) said something about how we didn't have time. There was a group coming out of the Prop Department so I'm not sure why we weren't able to go in. That was disappointing. read more

This review is for a taping of The Big Bang Theory. I got a standby ticket for the 8/20/13 taping. If you plan on going, I strongly advise you try to get guaranteed tickets. The number of standby tickets that get in to see the show depends on the number of seats requested by the actors for friends/family and VIPs. In order to get in with only standby tickets you have to get there very early in the afternoon. I arrived at about 1 pm because of some advice some of friends that have gone previously. Parking was free and you can arrive anytime during the day. Even arriving 4 hours before check-in. I was number 44 in line. To put it in perspective the first person in line arrived at 8 am. Around 4:15 they checked ID's and gave out numbers so you didn't have to stay in the same spot in line. The guaranteed tickets arrived before 5 pm, lined up in a special line and were the first ones admitted around 5:30. Then the standby numbers 1-19 were let in as well as some late arriving VIPs. 30 minutes later they took another group of standby tickets in up until number 37. Then finally around 6:25 they finally took another group of 5 VIPs and 12 standby tickets. Make sure to bring snacks and something to do while waiting. You are not allowed to take your cell phone in the studio but you are given time after they give you a line number to store it in your car. The waiting wasn't too bad and I think there ended up being about 70-80 people in the standby line with 50 getting in. The number of standbys that get in varies between shows with the premier and finale being harder to get admitted. The worst part was the nervous waiting as they slowly admitted people wondering if all the waiting was going to be a waste. Once we got in it was fantastic minus refreshments. The taping was about 2.5-3 hours. They give you a small slice of pizza and a bottle of water about halfway through. About a 200-250 person studio. The actors ran through a couple different versions of the lines in different takes. Very fun experience. Even managed to stick around right after the show and got an autograph from Kaley Cuoco. read more

I really want to give the tour five stars but I just can't. Here are the initial positives... everything prior to getting into your tour cart is clean, well organized, and the employees are very kind and courteous.The success of your tour once you get on board the tour cart then lies in the hands of the tour guide. I'm sorry to say our tour guide brought our what would be five-star experience down to a three. It also left us feeling like the tour was way overpriced because our tour guide contributed little value to the experience. While there is a mix of ages and interests in the persons on the tour cart with you, there are simple enhancements management could implement to ensure better delivery methods and more consistent, informative content skewed to the guests' age and interests. That would allow Warner Bros. to control the guest experience better. Leaving it up to a tour guide is great if you get a great tour guide. Not so great in our case. At all. There are additional positives about the tour. If you like Harry Potter, Suicide Squad, Batman, Superman, Gilmore Girls, Pretty Little Liars, Friends, Ellen ... there are some great exhibits and photo opportunities. It's still a good tour you just have to hope you get a good, knowledgeable, professional, energetic tour guide. read more

There are wax museums in many cities and there are still some Planet Hollywood restaurants in some too, but the best movie wax and prop museum lies inside the Warner Brother's movie lot. It's a two-floor monstrosity. The first floor has different relics from some of the most notable, popular, and award winning WB films since the brothers started the business. The second floor is devoted Harry Potter. When you walk in, there are 12 Mr. Smith's from The Matrix Reloaded starring at you. The Harry Potter floor is truly stunning. They have an actual talking Sorting Hat from the first film and almost a hundred different accessories from all the Harry Potter films that are out right now. The Sorting Hat put me in Slytherin right away. The scariest artifact is the gigantic spider that was used in the second film. Until you see this thing, it's hard to believe that the Harry Potter filmmakers actually built a 4 foot-tall spider. It will give you nightmares for sometime if you are already scarred of the tiny quarter-sized suckers. read more

One of the absolute best studio tours in LA. My group did the VIP tour. I went in not knowing what to expect but this was one of the other people in my groups second time (should tell you how great this tour was). I really do think how good the tour is depends on your tour guide. We had Amanda for our tour and let me tell you she was dedicated. Her mic would stop working at random times throughout the tour but this didn't stop her! She would turn around and shout to the whole cart when needed. She was full of fun facts about the sets and knew about almost anything we asked her. We saw things such as the set of big bang, sets for pretty little liars, the bat mobile, endless props from harry potter and batman, and the gift shop was full of memorable gifts to take home. The shag mobile was even around. We heard fun stories like how James Dean would ride around the sets making noise and trying to ruin filmings of other TV show and movies. We even saw guests coming arriving to view the filming of MOM with Anna Ferris. The 55 bucks was def worth the expirence Maybe not worth the teenage Russians making out throughout the tour but we were able to ignore their immaturity. Really interesting and informative tour. Our kids were also riveted. Tour included outdoor and city sets, as well as the old Friends, Big Bang, and Ellen. Our tour guide- Bob- really went above and beyond- dance numbers and acting out scenes. Very entertaining. If you can request a guide, I would highly recommend him. read more

This is an amazing tour! We're from Florida, so we didn't feel the need to do Disney or Universal Studios, and I'm so glad we didn't. This was truly the behind the scenes look at movies and television that you would expect in Hollywood. With a small group, we got to see and walk through the back lot and sound stages where so many movies and shows were shot. Then we went to the new Script to Screen experience that we got to do on our own. So many cool things to see and try out - is probably what I've talked about most since I got back from vacation. When booking their tour, we did not realize it was more than a five hour drive from where we were staying until we were looking up the driving map. We booked on-line, immediately left a voicemail at 10:30pm (5 minutes after booking) for next morning 9:15am tour and told them of error. The studio called back and left a message they got cancellation but did not refund our $94 for tickets. It was an honest mistake and considering that they didn't turn away any business and we called 5 minutes later, our account should have been credited. read more

This tour was weak at best. When I was a teen we went on a movie studio tour, cant remember which one. Anyway we got to see how they make rain and how they make fire in a house and much more. That tour actually turned these things on so we could see. This tour was like touring a museum, just sets sitting there. BORING. read more

Had the opportunity to be in the studio audience for the taping of a future episode of 2 Broke Girls. Studio was kept at a comfortable temperature for the most part (a little chilly, but, it was hot outside). Got to see the actual going ons for the taping of a 4 camera show. On my many trips to California, I have not had the opportunity to do many touristy things, but my wife and I came out early just to do some of these. On a whim we decided to take this tour. My wife was a huge Gilmore Girls fan, so she was excited to see the downtown set that was used. It is different now as it is used for another show, Pretty Little Liars, which neither of us knew about. We were also able to see the Two and a Half Men set and a few sets from Pretty Little Liars. There is a stop at a "museum" which has Batman artifacts on the first floor and Harry Potter artifacts on the second floor. The tour guide says you have twenty minutes, which is plenty of time. You also stop to see the Batman vehicles and the Friends Central Perk set, where you can sit on the couch and have your picture taken. The only drawback is the tram. It seats 12, with each row holding three, and if you have all these groups of two, one gets split. There should be a better way to organize the groups. My wife went to get in row two, behind the driver and a teenage girl literally hip checked her to get out of the way. Her parents were rude too. Not cool. So we got split. The driver told my wife to sit upfront, which then blocked the teen's view, a bonus. Second bonus was the family kept bonking their heads getting into the tram, which my seat mates from Australia and I found quite amusing. So, as a helpful warning, watch your head if you sit in the second row so you don't hit the speaker mounted on the top. read more
