Have filmed here on and off for nearly 8 years, both at the old location and the new one. We recently booked Studio 2 for a feature shoot and were a little shocked by the experience. Production was being monitored in real time through security cameras, with constant messages about minor things like moving a chair, shifting a lamp, or leaving a door open briefly. It became distracting and uncomfortable very quickly. A professional sound stage should allow crews to work without excessive micromanagement. Instead, the environment felt overly controlled and tense, with concerns raised over things as minor as small floor marks from normal production activity. It's hard to take the space seriously as a professional working studio when the focus feels more on surveillance than supporting productions. If you're looking for a studio environment where creatives can work comfortably and efficiently, I'd recommend considering other options. It's disappointing to see a space with potential move backward instead of evolving into a true indie filmmaking hub. Hopefully Nvisionate takes this feedback seriously and improves the experience for future productions. read more

Nvisionate Studios - Video/Film Production Near Me - North Hollywood, California

When I did a walk through of Nvisioante a few months ago it looked fine, and two friends had shot there and recommended it, so it seemed like a good choice. Wow, was I wrong. Fast forward a few months to our tech scout. Venus has been less than responsive to our producer, making book the space weirdly difficult. We were like, do they not want our money? Sometimes more than a week would pass before we'd hear back. Odd, but ok. We finally manage to book the space. We do our tech scout, and it looks nothing like it did when we initially toured. We're planning to shoot in the bar. There's a massive hole in the wall. Like, the size of a human body, as if someone had body slammed the wall and no one bothered to fix it. The tarp-like fabric that covers the ceiling was falling in multiple spots. There was a lot of dust and dirt. Not great. But a crew was leaving just as we walked in, so we figured they must have trashed it, and surely it'd be back to normal in time for our shoot the following weekend. Oh how wrong we were. We'd booked the space for a four hour pre-light the night before our shoot day. Instead of being able to pre light and set dress like we'd planned, we were forced to spend the time trying (unsuccessfully) to deep clean the disgusting space. Dust and debris were falling from the ceiling. There was a fridge and wall of shelving full of moldy bottles, open, half full of various mystery liquids. I'm talking about mold that looked like kombucha starters. The kind of mold that would take weeks or months to grow. The human sized hole was still in the wall (and, annoyingly, in our planned shots). We discovered that in some places the walls were patched with styrofoam. So much dust. Plus the bathroom was filthy and there was no hot water anywhere in the building. Our crew worked in masks, but most of us still got sick. And throughout this whole ordeal the Nvisionate staff were hovering and micromanaging, making sure we didn't use nails in the walls or move furniture the wrong way. When we brought up the serious mold problem to a staff member his response was, "oh yeah, we know." !!!???!!!!! Disgusting.  It's been about a week and a half since the shoot and I've heard from about two thirds of our cast and crew saying they've been sick. Cast and crew safety is my number one priority, and I feel just awful knowing that I put them in a dangerous situation. I've been fighting a gnarly respiratory infection too.  tldr; mold, negligent rude staff that'll micromanage you but not respond to your emails, no hot water, dust that'll make you sick. Avoid this place like the plague unless you want to catch the plague. read more

Very nice studio, studio managers are so nice, there is a day and night manager they have shifts. Very clean studio with a glam rom, lunch room, and 6+ sets. Parking is easy which is great and hours are 8a-12a. We booked a full day for filming. read more

Very nice studio with different set ups (hospital, court house, jail, office, morgue, bar, etc). There is a hold room and makeup room. We recently shot a short film at NVisionate and were blown away with their new space. Having recently relocated to a new space on Lankershim, they apparently rebuilt all their sets and added some - besides being more spacious, everything is cleaner and brighter. We especially liked the "house" set / kitchen. Nick and his staff were helpful and courteous without being intrusive. We appreciated being able to have a little extra time with setup and everything they did to make our shoot as easy as it could have been. Load in / out was simple as we were able to drive right up and unload directly into the studio. Great studio to rent for filming. I rented by the hour and I got a good price. The studio has over 5 shooting rooms, a green room, dressing room, two rest rooms, and an over night superviser to help. I have shot a few videos here and it's a great place to shoot. It has about 10 different sets (restaurant, hospital bed, jail, court, living room , a few bedrooms, office, interrogation room). They also can repaint the walls in this huge white wall area for either green screen or whatever you want. It's a great place come prepared and know what you want to shoot! I believe they rent it out in 4 hour blocks and always sanitize the place after each booking. Enjoy !! read more

I've shot a number of times at Nvisionate and I can't recommend them more highly! You really can't beat it for the price, and their staff has always been super nice. Like Disneyland cast member nice. I've been shooting with them since before Covid, and during Covid they've been fantastic about being making sure everything is compliant, clean and wiped down. I've shot at Nvisionate 4x now and each time was an amazing experience. They really are accommodating and don't have extra/hidden fees. They really are built for indie filmmakers. Nice size studio with great numbers of standing sets that you can choose. It's easy to book and easy to communicate with the studio manager. Both Venus and Nick are super nice and very helpful. This is a great little stage for a low budget shoot. However and this is a big one ,it is in no way a sound stage like it claims to be on its website!!!! A sound stage is sound proof. This is not. There is a woodworking shop next door. The owner makes doors and all you can hear is saws, sanding, hammering, etc. There are also many many planes overhead. You cannot shoot dialogue here at all. This place is great for a shoot without sound though! read more

Attn: Location scouts! This is the studio for your film! I've rented this studio for my films a few times and its a one stop shop. I've used at least 7 of their sets and they have been exactly what I was looking for. The owner, Nick, is a great guy and works in film too. So he understands what production needs and is very helpful in the process of booking and scheduling. To top it off, it's very affordable! The most affordable place I've been able to find in 6 years with more sets in the same place. They have video village, walkies and so much more! I recently shot a feature here and had a great experience. We booked the space for a few weeks and had zero problems. The people who run it, Nick and Venus, were very accommodating and flexible with all the usual stuff that pops up during production. And they're very pleasant to deal with. The studio has a bunch of standing sets as well as free equipment. It's a great deal. I plan to shoot here again soon. read more

Incredible place to shoot a film. Incredible people to work with. Venus and Nick are wonderful and professional. Great value and great sets. Shot many scenes for a feature there and they are greatly accommodating of all your needs. The space is very well equipped with a lot of free grip equipment including stands and dollies. We didn't ask them to build sets, but I'm sure you can do whatever you want. The sets looked great on film. Good location and even though it's not completely sound proof, it wasn't too much of an issue. Green room and makeup room are key and spacious. Thanks again Venus & Nick! You guys are awesome. In attempting to book this place for a few hours, I was contacted by the host named Venus. Although they state a four hour minimum, when she contacted me, she told me the four hour minimum was just for night shoots and i would have to book for a minimum of 12 hours to book the location during the regular shooting day. Although I didn't need the place for 12 hours, there was one set I really wanted to use , therefore I was flexible and looked at other sets at the location and changed my shooting schedule to accommodate the 12 hours. Had she put a 12 hour minimum there in the first place I probably would have passed up using this location. I ordered the location on giggster at the end of December. With sag/aftra recommendations for delays because of covid., one of our cast members getting sick with covid, and 4 others dropping out out of fear of covid a week before production, I send a request to change the date, (not cancel) due to circumstances beyond my control. The other host have no problem and just change the date for a month out. Venus called me and tells me she can't change the date because it'sagainst giggsters policy. As she talks rapidly over me, I tell her that I know she's lying because I changed dates with other hosts with no problem. She then tells me she owns the the place and there was no way they can change the date. She can only cancel. Mind you cancellation is half of the 12 hour minimum fee which turns out to be $800. She keeps saying to me, "will you just let me talk". Meanwhile, that's all she did was talk. She told me they book people everyday so she can't make changes to the schedule. But when I contacted her to add hours (for covid compliance reasons) she had no problem with it. She then bashed the other places that were flexible enough to change the dates by saying they just book their places part time. (I really didn't understand what that had to do with her facilities flexibility). She also justified her reason for not being flexible by saying that sag/aftra only recommended companies stop production and that it wasn't a requirement. So I really don't think she was listening to me at all when I told her one of our cast members was sick because of covid. Very disappointed in this business as I planned on using them for future needs but now knowing how inflexible they are, I will never use them and I encourage anyone thinking of using them, think twice! By the way, I found another place for less money and less hours! But of course at the cost of losing $800. But I'd rather lose 800 then have my production company sick because of my need to produce a film. read more

This is a great studio for indie films. They saved us a lot of time on load in/out by having a ton of useful gear that we were allowed to use on our shoot. The variety of sets are useful and we managed to stage 4 different scenes on the different sets and knock them all out in one day. Nick was the nicest he could be and made us feel very welcome. Overall shooting at Nvisionate was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone in need of sets for an indie film/music video/etc. read more

Not only is the owner a real gent with transparent pricing but his variety of standing sets are all included in the flat rate. I only wish there were 20 more studios like his, but with different sets. Then I'd never have to worry again about how to find and afford to close down practical locations! The only downsides to this studio are a lil bit of bleed-thru noise and the lack of adjacent truck parking. Frankly, no place is perfect and those are small inconveniences for the overall package. read more
