Decided to check out their new location. I would frequent the midtown location when I lived in the area. This location has a nice vibe with a cool setup. If you like modern patisserie it's worth checking out.

Delicious & beautiful pastries on Detroit's east side. Great way to spend a couple of hours exploring the grounds.

Nice desserts and attractive surrounding. Menu is limited and they have coffee and tea. Everything is high quality. Seasonal Tart was 11 dollars, 4 for a cookie.

The pastries are absolutely exquisite, and the coffee's just as lovely. It's within walking distance from where I live, so I thought I'd pop over and work from Warda's instead of home for a change. But it turns out they have a no-laptop policy, no Wi-Fi either! The barista kindly pointed out the little sign taped near the register that I'd completely missed.

What a cool space! Classic old farmhouse converted as part of the whole "Shepherd" project. In short, a place to spend an hour or two when exploring Detroit. Warda's second location is clean and organized with quick service and a simple display of unique pastries, sweets and quiche. Standard coffee options and a couple fun lattes. I had the baklava latte and quiche. Both excellent. Kids enjoyed the cookies immensely.

We came in for a treat after some serious Christmas shopping…read more I had to try the pecan pie which I had to go. The pecan pie was mouthwatering delicious. It is very sweet as it should be, but the perfect amount. We also like the sea salt shortbread and of course the cinnamon rolls. The cashier was very friendly and patient as I made up my mind on what treats I wanted. I even added some cookies as a last min gift to give for the holidays. The bakery is small with a few indoor seats but there's some cute outside seating as well. There is parking on both Kerchaval and Parker. We will be back as we live dangerously close. Definitely stop in and try what all the hype is about. You won't regret it.

We were going to be in Detroit for the day, and I looked up what are must have items in the city…read more One article mentioned the salted maple pie. I love maple, so I knew I wanted to go try! We didn't get there until the afternoon, but they luckily still had some available. We took two slices to go. It wasn't what I expected, especially in texture, kind of like a gummy chess pie. The flavor was okay, nice maple, and not as sweet as I was expecting. Service - we were the only ones there. It took a few minutes to get someone to say hello, and finally get us our slices. But then, we waited for the staff to finish their goodbye conversation, as one person was leaving for the day, until we could check out and pay. Overall, between the pie and service, it was disappointing and not somewhere I'd be recommending as a must have while visiting Detroit.
