While visiting Detroit I stopped here when we had time to kill before our Motown tour. The shop is nice, with a decent amount of seating for its size as well as a lot of grocery options and parties. My almond milk latte was good quality and hot, which I appreciate. The girl that took my order was being trained so she struggled a bit but she was friendly. I would return here and recommend. It's a cute local shop and I was happy to support.

Big picture window filled with plants and art where you can sit and sip. Wooden pharmacy shelves filled with a delightful assortment of pastries. Hot chocolate was amazing and worthy of the hype. They have day old cookies for sale that I recommend buying. They tasted fresh to me. Friendly barista worked nonstop. I love that it is truly a neighborhood spot and one I would visit every day if I lived there.

Such a hidden gem. Adorable place to sit for a coffee and people watch. Great service and excellent coffee. Cute little store inside as well.

This is a wonderful little coffee house and market! They have lots of good stuff to eat here, so stop in and meet the owner as he's regularly on site. The breakfast croissant sandwiches are unmatched!! Locally made and owned products are also readily available for sale. It's a quiet little place and it's perfect for a coffee date, reading, or getting some work done. Go! You'll love it!

Owner is so sweet and the desserts are delicious! Love coming here! Cute neighborhood spot for those trying to get away from the downtown buzz.

Beautifully preserved fixtures mixed with new rustic-looking charm. The place is spotless.

Best customer service in Detroit. The owner will learn your name and make your dream cup of coffee. Family and dog friendly with free water for all.

I purchased a hot chocolate made with oat milk topped with marshmallows and whipped cream along with a red velvet muffin and chocolate pecan cookie for later.

It is in front of a building that has a lot of other storefronts...but if you park anywhere on that block of Michigan Ave you will be within walking distance. They thrive in coffee and pastries but they do have a really good egg sandwich as well. They are super nice and friendly and will walk your food to your table. It's not a large shop so it may be crowded depending on what time you go. There is a countertop that seats 4, a long table ther seats about 10, and a few 2 top tables. If you have a large group this may not be for you. Alba egg sandie - this was an excellent sandwich. I wish it had sausage or bacon on it but regardless it's great. It's light and fluffy as well as airy and savory. It comes with the aioli/chive and this is what sets it off. But the egg is thick and the perfect size to boot.

The atmosphere alone makes you want to stay and enjoy every moment. The gelato itself is incredibly flavorful--each scoop tastes fresh, rich, and thoughtfully crafted. They were extremely friendly, warm, and attentive, which made the experience even more enjoyable. On top of that, the shop is very clean and well-kept, which always makes a difference. Located near Michigan & Trumbull in Corktown, it's a great spot for both social gatherings or solo visits. The staff is friendly and efficient. The affogato lives up to the hype. Not only does it satisfy a sweet tooth, it's also a nice pick-me-up. The gelato flight is a great option for sharing. $17 may seem steep, but it's cheaper than ordering multiple individual cups. Of the five flavors I've tried, the pistachio is my favorite. Momento also offers baked goods and sorbet. I've had the lemon and raspberry sorbets, and personally prefer the lemon. While the baked goods are outsourced, the croissant I had was delicious. I've also tried the lemonade. It was too sour for my liking, though I'm hoping it was just an off batch. There are also some savory options, like breakfast sandwiches and paninis, I plan on trying one day. In the few times my family and I have been to Momento, we've always left happy. Gelato isn't especially common in the Metro Detroit area, so having a solid spot like this in one of the city's most happening neighborhoods shouldn't be taken for granted.
