Red hook (and its various locations) especially the Midtown location is one of my favorite coffeeshops in the city. The service is always fast and friendly. I love their cardamom lattes and I'm particularly fond of their pop tart! Highly recommend for anyone looking to get work done and just grab a quick coffee and pastry.

went to the red hook midtown location and loved it!!! the atmosphere was so nice - very open and large space but still cozy, was a nice place to sit down and study:) i got an iced chai latte and it was so good!! definitely want to come back here soon!

The coffee and food was delicious! The banana bread was so good and moist and the cookie was so good too!!! The decorations and atmosphere make the experience so much better!!! The staff was also super helpful and nice!

My experience at the red Hook is always amazing. Everyone is always so friendly, so attentive, that you can't help but to keep coming back. I always order a lavender latte with an extra shot of lavender and it is so good. The red hook is one of my go to coffee spots.

This was the first coffee shop I visited in Detroit and I was not disappointed! There is a good amount of seating for studying including bench type seating. The coffee is good too, I've had their oatmilk latte and their Americanos. I would definitely recommend coming here for coffee and if you need a lil spot to study:)

I have been to the Red Hook quite a few times now because this is such a great coffee shop! They have different kinds of coffee options as well as baked goods (the oatmeal cream pie is delicious)! I always get a chai latte, iced or hot, and it's one of the best chai lattes I've ever had. The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and welcoming! If you're in the area, make sure you put The Red Hook on your list of places to stop.

My iced coffee and the lime I took to get here lol

Nice spot! First coffee I've tried being in detroit. Plenty of space to work and/or kill time. No complaints here.

Visiting Detroit for the first time, and needed some coffee. Decided to find a local spot and glad I found The Red Hook in Midtown. They have a couple locations in the area. Tried both their Vanilla Chai Latte and Mocha. They were both excellent. The baristas here were really friendly and welcoming upon entering. Both drinks were made in a timely manner. It has a very modern and chill atmosphere to get work done or hang out with friends over coffee. They do have some breakfast sandwiches and bakery foods. Plenty of street parking here for a dollar per hour. Really clean bathrooms too. Would definitely come back again when visiting Detroit! Such a gem to have a coffee place like this!

It is in front of a building that has a lot of other storefronts...but if you park anywhere on that block of Michigan Ave you will be within walking distance. They thrive in coffee and pastries but they do have a really good egg sandwich as well. They are super nice and friendly and will walk your food to your table. It's not a large shop so it may be crowded depending on what time you go. There is a countertop that seats 4, a long table ther seats about 10, and a few 2 top tables. If you have a large group this may not be for you. Alba egg sandie - this was an excellent sandwich. I wish it had sausage or bacon on it but regardless it's great. It's light and fluffy as well as airy and savory. It comes with the aioli/chive and this is what sets it off. But the egg is thick and the perfect size to boot.

The atmosphere alone makes you want to stay and enjoy every moment. The gelato itself is incredibly flavorful--each scoop tastes fresh, rich, and thoughtfully crafted. They were extremely friendly, warm, and attentive, which made the experience even more enjoyable. On top of that, the shop is very clean and well-kept, which always makes a difference. If you're looking for a place with amazing gelato, great vibes, and excellent service, Momento Gelato is definitely worth a visit.

Located near Michigan & Trumbull in Corktown, it's a great spot for both social gatherings or solo visits. The staff is friendly and efficient. The affogato lives up to the hype. Not only does it satisfy a sweet tooth, it's also a nice pick-me-up. The gelato flight is a great option for sharing. $17 may seem steep, but it's cheaper than ordering multiple individual cups. Of the five flavors I've tried, the pistachio is my favorite. Momento also offers baked goods and sorbet. I've had the lemon and raspberry sorbets, and personally prefer the lemon. While the baked goods are outsourced, the croissant I had was delicious. I've also tried the lemonade. It was too sour for my liking, though I'm hoping it was just an off batch. There are also some savory options, like breakfast sandwiches and paninis, I plan on trying one day. In the few times my family and I have been to Momento, we've always left happy. Gelato isn't especially common in the Metro Detroit area, so having a solid spot like this in one of the city's most happening neighborhoods shouldn't be taken for granted.
