It's rare for viral restaurants to meet expectations, but Detroit 75 Kitchen is o-fficial. Prices are reasonable, ingredients are fresh, and they clearly take pride in the food they're serving. A lot of restaurants have been cutting corners and sacrificing quality to turn a quick buck, but not here. Detroit 75 is representing their city well. Food: We got the chicken tenders with the garlic cilantro fries, Philly cheesesteak egg rolls and the Atwater chicken sandwich. I'm gonna start with the egg rolls, they were by far the best part. Absolutely fantastic flavor and the #75 sauce made it even better. The chicken tenders were good; but the fries were not that great. Maybe piling the tenders on top made them soggy but we ate it within minutes of receiving it. The house ranch made them better. The Atwater chicken has a lot of potential, the garlic cilantro aioli needed some salt or something, you can taste it has good body just lacked punch. So the chicken sandwich was just ok. Service: Amazing, my brother made good recommendations and they were pretty quick about getting the order ready. Always appreciate a kind face that doesn't need to rush you as you ask questions. I got a shawarma and the garlic cilantro fries. The chicken in the sandwich was a little dry and it needed more sauce. The bottom half seemed to be more sauce and pickle heavy, which made it much tastier than the first half. I'll try a different sandwich next time. My dining companion got the corned beef sandwich and said it was delicious, especially the bread. The fries were perfectly crispy and delicious. I'd go back just for them. Service was friendly. Though we were quoted 20 minutes for the wait, it was faster than that. They have a cute outdoor sitting area that's pretty spacious. Overall, great place for a lunch especially in summer. read more

Came here while in Detroit. I follow them on social media and absolutely love the way the owner treats his employees and his videos. I had to check him out in person. It's a food truck so no service and they have tables outside if you want to eat there. I had the Strawberry Lemonade which was great, sweet and tart. Also tried the 3rd Street Detroit Cheesesteak. It was an untraditional cheesesteak but delicious. The bun was crunchy but not hard with Sesame seeds on top. Everything in the cheesesteak was flavorful and seasoned. It came with a dipping sauce but honestly it was not necessary. I had their famous Cilantro Garlic fries that had me smacking all the way home and came with a homemade roasted pepper ketchup that elevated this food truck meal. Being home, I treasure those moments to relive my childhood. Detroit 75 recently rekindled some fond memories. On Fish Friday, I was able to get my hands on the Fisher Freeway Fish sandwich. I chose some Lake Erie Walleye [you could get haddock or catfish] and it was prepared with old bay tartar sauce, onions, lettuce, tomato and pickles on a soft roll. And to top it off, there was a choice of regular, Cajun and garlic cilantro fries. Had to get the garlic fries. WoW!! I needed a nap after that meal. Everything was delicious. The only thing missing was a table with plenty of napkins to wipe the face. This location is a food truck near the Ambassador Bridge. I heard good things about this place so I went straight here from the airport. The food truck was set up right next to the gas station. The set up was like an outdoor garden. There were many picnic tables with umbrellas. I asked the cashier you recommendations and she recommended Detroit Philly. The portion was huge, good enough for two meals. The sandwich didn't really taste like Philly cheesesteak but it's very good. I liked that sweet pickled jalapeños add some kicks. The bread was crunchy but not hard. It came with a dip but it's already flavorful enough without the dip. I tried a bite with it and It tasted good though. There wasn't no service per se but that's expected for a food truck. I had a serious craving for a cheesesteak and I have already tried some of Michigan's most recommended like Gabriel's and Bulldog's. Someone on Reddit recommended Detroit 75, so I rolled the dice and placed an Uber Eats order. I am not docking points for the price (almost $40 with fries) or the temperature (luke warm). This is expected with delivery. My issue is that this simply was not a cheesesteak. Its more like a sliced-steak panini. The bread was not a roll and the sandwich included lettuce. Lots of lettuce. More lettuce than meat actually. The flavor was fine overall. Edible, just not great. The veggies overwhelmed everything the steak tried to bring. When they say best food truck in America, they aren't kidding. Don't be fooled by the location; Detroit 75 Kitchen is incredible. The sandwiches are so flavorful. The po boy stacked up to some I tried in New Orleans years ago. And the cilantro garlic fries? Some of the best I've had in recent memories -- and worth the garlic breath. The only bummer is that they aren't open on weekends! I lucked out with a weekday in Detroit and Detroit 75 Kitchen didn't disappoint. I hope we can make it back here sometime soon! read more

I tried their Atwater Chicken sandwich ($11) which is described on the menu as Atwater Chicken "lettuce, tomato, sweet pickled jalapenos, and garlic cilantro aioli" -- hmm, it was just a typical oversized sandwich. Everyone raves about these guys on social media and while I very much support small businesses, I believe any spot (especially one gaining so much attention on social) should be stellar for the food they put out AND service. I think these guys missed the mark on service for me -- the young man and young lady were not pleasant at all. Not to go into too much detail but it wasn't fun to put in the order at the window nor was it fun to return to the window to ask for extra condiments, napkins, etc. The food was good, not the best I have ever had but not terrible. I only knew about Detroit 75 Kitchen from the videos posted on YouTube. I am in Detroit once in a while for business. I had some time on the way to the airport. I gave it a try. I didn't realize it's in a giant restaurant trailer. They follow an important rule of success. Don't serve everything but do what you do well. That they do. I had the Philly steak pannini with a side of shrimp. Everything was great. I'll definitely stop in the next time I'm in Detroit. As a bonus, while I was waiting for my order, I met the man from the videos. I was hoping to and was glad to have had the opportunity. He was speaking with a gentleman outside. We spoke briefly as I believe they had an appointment. When he concluded his meeting I had received my order and he came by for a conversation. He is the same awesome guy in the videos. Food and people were great. I was there right at the lunch rush and the wait time was only about 15 minutes. Great place. read more

I wanna give it a 4.5/5 but I'm rounding up to a 5/5 because I love what Detroit 75 stands for. The ownership supports their workers and has always been proud to represent the city. In terms of the food I will say some of my favorites are the shrimp Po boy and the bbq chicken egg rolls. Those are my go to orders whenever I'm headed to Detroit 75. It isn't too common to find po boys in Michigan, so Detroit 75 itches that craving for me. The Chicken Atwater is probably my second favorite sandwich here. I'm not personally a fan of the Detroit Philly cheesecake. I like the idea of giving the OG Philly cheesesteak a Detroit twist. One thing to note about most of their sandwiches is the bread and extremely crispy crust which can make biting through the sandwich difficult at times. Love that they are expanding and I hope to see this quality of food preserved at they continue to grow ! read more

We came here - all the way from Tampa Bay, FL for the food. I have been following them on Instagram. The owner post not only their delicious looking sandwiches but also good business advice and kitchen hacks. The service is outstanding. Health issues forced me to be 100% gluten free and they were able to accommodate even though they don't have gluten free bread yet they do have Lake Erie fresh walleye fish!
