Came here for brunch with a large group. Quaint place with interesting decorations and murals. We were seated straight away. Service was pretty good and server was mostly available. Food was well presented and came out all at the same time. Everyone was for the most part happy with their choices. The doners were tasty so I hear, as were the potatoes and eggplant fries. I didn't care for the first dish I ordered which was some kind of sausage scramble. I am GF so was limited on the items I could order. Didnt like the flavor of the sausage. The server was gracious and had no issue replacing my meal. I got the beet apple salad instead and that was both fresh and refreshing. The coffee and fresh squeezed juice were also good. Very cute spot right off Michigan Ave near Central Station. This is my third time here and I have to say the food has improved tremendously in the last few years. The potatoes are the bomb. The Doner sandwich was delicious with really interesting St.Patrick day roast beef and sauerkraut combination. I enjoyed the sangria. We liked the eggplant fries and the beet salad. We came in with a large group right after the Corktown 5k races. Our waiter was very patient dealing with a bunch of slightly hangry girls. The space is beautifully decorated. They have a unique menu with great drinks and service. They have a pretty large craft cocktail menu. Our waiter, James, answered lots of questions about drinks and made suggestions based on what we told him we liked. They were all a hit. As for the food, the hummus was some of the best I've ever had. I had the donor kebab which was good with a nice sauce but over salted. I would've also preferred it on their flatbread (that came with the hummus) instead of the ciabatta it came on. We also got an appetizer with pomegranate, the lutenitza. It was unique and delicious. A dining companion got the ravioli, and another a burger. They both said they were good, but nothing spectacular. I tried a ravioli and thought it was pretty good. The fries were a disappointment. The music, greenery, art and the natural light coming in created a beautiful and calming feeling, perfect for a Sunday brunch date. Our server was so sweet, and she made great suggestions! They have a great location in Corktown and the drinks they make are made with Two James, which is right across the street. Came here for a nice brunch with a larger group of people. We ordered a few apps, coffee, and entrees. Server was excellent and checked in relatively often. Food was delicious. I had the salad I thought it was outstanding for an iceberg lettuce based salad. The beignets were soft and fluffy. They had supremes oranges which were also surprisingly a hit. The only thing that was a little odd was food service like when things came out of the kitchen. It seemed like the kitchen was sending food out by food item and not by party. This would be great if the entire party ordered the same thing. Unfortunately we did not and so it made out eating time longer than expected as well as some people getting food much sooner than others. When I first started noticing this place I thought what an interesting menu. Such a wide variety of food from Mediterranean to Eastern European it was definitely interesting. I decided to bring a group of senior citizens here for a monthly lunch club and have to admit a little nervous. It couldn't have gone better from the food to the service they loved it all! I chose the chicken schnitzel I think it was called. It was a pounded chicken breast fried crisp on top of one of the best salads made of head lettuce I've ever had. It was very good and fresh tasting. We tried a couple desserts the tres leche cake and bumpy cake. Have to say wish we would've just gotten the tres leche cake it was amazing while bumpy cake was average. Would definitely come back another time. Try it it's well worth it. read more

Love love love it here! An amazing staff, always super friendly and great food/drinks! We stopped in for HH yesterday and the options, the portions, the taste were all amazing. I always get the classic light beer (when you order the light/dark beer, you get two mugs at a time, and if you ask you can do one light one dark) as personally I feel it goes with every dish - but we also got the daiquiri and the G&T which were both awesome. Curtis, our bartender, was great and always kept our drinks and stomachs full. The burger was juicy, simple and delicious, the Lamb doner was to die for, we also god the flavorful tomato red-pepper bulgur and the lamb meatballs. I'm glad I didn't get the fries because I would've been rolling out of there. Now I need to go back to try the other half of the HH menu! Amazing experience as always, can't wait to go back! The space itself is nestled in a cute corktown building, right on the Main Street. There's ample free parking on the Main Street and side streets. Took my best friend here for her birthday lunch and it was the perfect place! This was our first time here and we were amazed with the beautiful decoration and the overall aesthetic of the restaurant. We split the shakshuka and the pork belly egg's benedict which was both flavorful and rich. Definitely order the pita (the pita on its own is divine too) to eat with the shakshuka since it only comes with two slices of toast which is not enough for the sauce. The eggs were perfectly runny and the pork belly was not fatty which I prefer. We were taken care of the entire time, the service was great. The restaurant was very attractive -- hanging plants and interesting decor all over the place. I loved that they left a glass milk bottle of water at the table for us. (We drank most of it!) The server was very nice. The menu is very unusual; it was a bit difficult to know which things were which. The main issue(s) for me were that, while they did tell us that they serve food as it comes out of the kitchen, they did NOT say that it could be 20 minutes between people in the same party being served. I don't think that explaining it excuses it. My friend was just about finished eating by the time my meal finally came. They also didn't note that things like fries and falafel are spicy. I did ask for the spicy sauce on the side, but the both the entree and the side turned out to be spicy as well. The other issue was that the plates are made of a light plastic material, and every time my friend cut her chicken, her plate jumped a little bit, which was annoying to her. If I come here again, I will have more of an idea of what to order; the flatbread with hummus would probably have been a better choice for me. read more

I was visiting my friend while on the east side of the state and he was RAVING about the deviled eggs so clearly we had to drive into Corktown to actually try it out and it did not disappoint! They were still decorated for Christmas which kept the holiday spirit alive after the New Year and the menu still had some fun touches that allowed you to keep that vibe going. We decided to split the deviled eggs, the hummus and the falafel and fries. So let's break it down... LOVE that the deviled eggs came in an even number. Thee restaurants that give you an odd number? Get out of here, because eggs are split in half, where does the other one go? This place did it right! They had 2 different flavors. One was more pickled/olive and one had roe on it, so if you're not into that fishy flavor - it won't be your thing, but it was absolutely delicious! The hummus? It was good but a little on the bitter side. Once you mixed it all in, it was much better but not like your store bought hummus, so know that going in. The serving size was HUGE though so you definitely could get more than two people to share and getting two sides of bread was smart since we ended up eating and using it all. The falafel and fries were as expected and the perfect size to split. The sauce that came with the fries? Delicious!! Spicy and just the right bit of bite that I wanted with my meal! My favorite part of the whole restaurant was the beautiful fiddle fig that was hidden in the back near the restaurant. Pretty close to as good of a burger as you can get. Started with the light house beer which was somewhat surprisingly pretty nice. Ordered the burger and added a side of fries. Burger was close to being fantastic. The dijonaise was a bit strong for my liking, but it was a very solid burger nonetheless. The french fries were simple, but simple is good. Definitely want to return for the doner, but highly recommend the burger; especially if you like mustard. read more

Went out to brunch yesterday at Supergeil for Galentine's and had the best experience! It was my first time here and it is beautiful inside. Our server was helpful, patient, and kind. We got the Honeynut Squash Labneh for an appetizer with chips and pita bread and it was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully crafted-- 10/10! I got the Mushroom Khachapuri for my main course and I was blown away with the flavor profile (and I will be coming back specifically to have this again!). For a drink/dessert, I had the Horchata which was fresh and one of the best Horchata's I have ever had. We were all raving after our meal with how great this place is. Daughter came here the day before and thought it was so good she wanted to show me and her husband. She ordered the same thing, a kale salad. I tried the salad and it was fantastic as it included donor meat. Donor meat is a combo of beef and lamb broiled on a vertical spit. For an appetizer we had the pictured hummus which came with great seasoning. I had the pictured donor sandwich which had a ton of pickled peppers along with the meat. Every time I come to town, I want to eat at this place. The food it always excellent. The hummus is excellent and so is the Labneh. They are known of the lamb meatballs which are super good and spicy (not hot). I will say that on this last visit, I noticed the lamb meat balls had changed in texture and in taste. Stopped by Supergeil for a late lunch over the weekend. I was hoping for the brunch menu, but it must be a sunday only thing! The lunch menu was pretty dang good too though - everything was super fresh and so flavorful, tasty! *LUTENITZA $11 (roasted peppers, fresno chili, pomegranate, walnut) - I've never had Lutenitza before but this flavorful dip reminded me of muhammara with the complexity of the sweet, sour and umami flavors. It also had a lil' texture to it! This was served with a LOVELY warm pide topped with fresh oregano. Amazing. *DEVILED EGGS $8 (pimento olive vin, salmon roe, dill) - These were served as 4 halves with two of each flavor. No complaints on these; I also like that the temperature was right (slightly chilled because no one likes room temp deviled eggs kthx!!) *BEET & CARROT $10 (apple, mint, carrot, clementine, sunflower seed) - this salad was a great side. It packed such a punch of flavor for really simple ingredients. The clementine gave it a really nice brightness. *EGGPLANT DONER $15 (tahini, apricot amba, cucumber, tomato, lettuce) - Honestly I probably wouldn't have ordered this if our server didn't recommend it but it was FANTASTIC. The eggplant was thinly sliced, fried coins so no mushy eggplant texture. The amba and tahini combo was so savory, umami -- almost like a mayo but without any actual mayo!! Returned to dine at Supergeil again - this time with my toddler. Disappointed that there are no kid menu options and nothing simple to feed a child. I asked for just plain chicken breast and that's not an option here. The waitress recommended the $16 burger as the best option. I opted to not order anything for him. I ordered the hummus and was disappointed I couldn't add a simple protein (like chicken breast). I ordered the lamb meatballs last time and they were dry. I added the eggplant, but was disappointed by how much you actually get for $7. So essentially after tip I paid $30 for hummus with eggplant - reflecting back I wouldn't order this with eggplant again. Decor was still nice. Street parking was fairly easy. read more

We had dinner there around 5:30 and it was the perfect time to beat the rush. The food was absolutely delicious! I had the red and Lamb Doner and husband had the Fish and Chips. Both were very good, all bite size meats and fish. They used Bronzino fish for the fish and chips, which was a nice change from cod. But the real star? The Doner. A veteran of the place told us that's what you need to order, so we listened. Half the table went with the Adobo Chicken, half with the Lamb Beef Doner. Finally visited Supergeil for dinner. Service was very good and quick, despite it being a busy evening. Good volume level to have conversations, too! I shared several dishes with my friends: oysters, fries, baba, and a few other things I frankly can't remember. Everything was delicious. That said, the cocktails were honestly a bit underwhelming. Their toddy tasted like pure alcohol, and I couldn't even finish it. Overall, a solid option for dinner, but I'd probably skip the cocktails next time and just order beer or wine. read more

Really cool spot, I love the look of everything! The aesthetic inside was nice. We sat in a booth and I loved the layout of it (picture below). Also street parking in the area is also free which was a plus. I loved the menu concept, it was very unique following the "western migratory pattern of the stork" and definitely makes this place stand out! The food was fantastic as well, a little bit too salty for me, especially the branzino, but when you upgrade the entrees to a platter, it comes with a bunch of sides which helped with the saltiness. Along with the branzino, my group also got the lamb and steak! I enjoyed both of those more than the fish. My favorite part of the meal though was definitely the sides (and the deviled egg appetizer), it reminded me a lot of korean banchan! The water had a little flavor to it that I couldn't quite put my finger on, it was...interesting, I would definitely order a soda or something else to sip on if I came again. Speaking as a graphic designer the menu is absolutely gorgeous. I thought the food was yummy, but all of the protein was a bit too salty for my liking. There was 5 of us splitting 3 platters and we probably could've gotten away with just making one of the entrées a platter because we got A LOT of food. The only other issue I had was that the water tasted... a bit off? I've drank city water and that was not the issue I had with it.
