I'm a very picky vegetarian but I love a good Sangria. Last night we went to a play at the Hilberry Theatre and had an hour to kill. I knew exactly where I wanted to go! I've wanted to try this place for years as I'm acquainted with the owner, but the menu is not what I'd normally eat for a dinner. A snack, however, was absolutely perfect! My friend and I shared the Patatas Bravas and the Berenjenas Fritas and each has a glass of Sangria. Everything was amazingly good. The potatoes had the perfect amount of kick, the eggplant paired with the honey very nicely, and the Sangria...oh, wow, it was probably the best I've had. We got a to-go bottle to share with our husbands. I will 100% be back!

My husband was born in Sevilla, Spain so while visiting Detroit and we saw the name of the restaurant we knew we had to visit. Truly authentic Spanish food. The Spanish wine was fantastic too. Our server was very kind and as we got to talking we enjoyed hearing his Mom started the restaurant and he has family in Sevilla. We enjoyed discussing visiting Spain and the culture. He was very kind and attentive and had great recommendations for food. The shrimp were amazing with a great sauce to dip bread in. I really enjoyed the octopus grilled but my husband prefers more thinly sliced grilled octopus or fried. We sat on the wine bar side which was welcoming with low lighting and a great evening vibe. Highly recommend if you like tapas and authentic Spanish food!!!

La Feria is the kind of place where you can settle in, enjoy amazing food, and completely lose track of time--in the best way possible! The service was warm and attentive, the vibe was relaxed yet lively, and every bite was fantastic. We started with some mocktails, and both the Bee's Knees and the Mojito were absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. As for the food, the Patatas Bravas, Calamar a la Parilla, and Champiñones en Salsa Verde were all incredible. Each dish was expertly prepared, full of bold flavors, and perfect for sharing.

I've been seeing so many great things about La Feria that I knew I needed to stop in here asap and I'm so happy I did! We sat at the bar and the service was quick and helpful! We got quite a few different hot tapas, 4 to be exact, and it was definitely enough food for 3 people. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. There were so many different flavor notes between all of the dishes, but I can't recommend this place enough. My favorite dish was the Patatas Bravas. My drink was to die for (Calimocho), I was nervous about coca cola and red wine, but wow, it was amazing! I can't wait to go back here soon

La Feria boasts a cozy and lively setting with vibrant decor that reflects Spanish culture. The interior features exposed brick walls, warm lighting, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Real true Spanish tapas should deliver an alchemical explosion of flavors in your mouth. La Féria does exactly that! Fabulous menu of Spanish Barcelona inspired tapas. Had the perfectly grilled whole sardines in tarragon oil which were exquisitely prepared! The grilled crimini mushrooms in parsley, lemon , garlic sauce and the roasted eggplant with onions and anchovies. Everything popped in your mouth! Their sangria with "many liquors" perfectly accentuated the flavor explosion of a meal . Go here for a true Iberian experience!

I'm actually really surprised by the rating of this place. I ordered a pitcher of sangria that was 5 servings, two slices of baguette with cheese and ham. And a tapa of chicken and potatoes. Don't get me wrong, the flavor was tasty and it was yummy but I almost just stopped at Mcdonalds because I'm still hungry. The waiter was really great. He was very attentive but the bill was over $40. I don't mind an expensive dinner when I leave satisfied. I should never spend 40 on dinner and then want a $2 cheeseburger for substance- please note my photos have 1 order of the chicken and potatoes. 1 Spanish omelette, and 2 orders of the toast with various toppings. Just the photos were almost $60.... I understand paying to quality but as someone who cooks- I ate $4 worth of food

Sangria with happy hour appetizer. I highly recommend the eggplant and steak with blue cheese sauce..

Went there for happy hour, start out with sangria, steak and eggplant with honey. I highly recommend both. Waiter bartender was extremely helpful with selections. He also reminded us when happy hour was coming to a close to give us our extra drink. A comfortable niche little place. Wish I could just walk up to it.

One of the most underrated restaurants in the city has got to be Le Feria, Spanish Tapas. Everything is SO GOOD, as is the atmosphere, staff and has an extensive wine selection. Our waiter Nate was top notch and guided us through a delicious dinner. Some of our faves included the charcuterie board, the manchango & quince, the asparagus, mushrooms, shrimp, chorizo, calamari, almond stuffed dates with bacon and the flan!

La Feria is one of my favorite restaurants. Not only in Detroit but maybe worldwide because I just got back from a week long trip to Spain and didn't have anything nearly was good as what you can get on a random weeknight at La Feria. Their standard menu is great with the highlights being the shrimp, steak, pintxos, and fried eggplant. Ask about the weekly special because it's usually not posted online or in the restaurant but often it's fantastic and worth coming in just to see what it is. As others have said, look out for the auto-grat and processing fees. I prefer to sit at the bar when I come but it's nice to come with a few people because then you can try more of the menu. The almond cake is a sleeper hit for sure if you like a more savory dessert. Salud!

Stopped here because it was on the way to a concert and close to our Airbnb while we stayed here in Detroit! The idea of getting some tapas before a concert was appealing so we decided to check this place out! One side of the place seemed to be closed off for a private event but when we walked in we were able to sit at a table almost immediately. Our server was very kind and attentive all night long:) We started off by ordering drinks and both had the Margarita with a salt rim and it was strong and delicious! The first tapa we ordered was the Tortilla Española which is a Spanish omelette, fried potatoes, onions, and roasted red peppers. It's on the cold tapas menu but was more room temp. We definitely liked this for the flavor and tasty level but wondered if we would like it more if it was warmed. Still a yummy dish! The second tapa we tried was Gambas Al Ajillo which is seared shrimp in spices and oil. They served it with four tiny pieces of bread which came in handy with the flavored oil. My boyfriend felt like there was a bit of heat with the chili flakes but I still think the flavor was absolutely delicious regardless. The Patatas Bravas were our safe bet for tapas because we all know you can't mess up a potato. These came with ketchup and garlic aioli drizzled over top and tiny toothpicks to grab the potatoes with :) loved that honestly. For dessert, we ordered the churros! I make a habit to try churros at any restaurant I can to find the most perfect churro and this churro came close. Love the ridges, the crunchy level, and the fact that it was served with only chocolate. Felt authentic and I could eat several of these so it's wonderful there were only four. At the end of the night our bills were accidentally messed up with another tables but thankfully that transaction was cancelled and ours went through normally. Not a big deal but thought I should mention it since the server was very apologetic and kind through the entire process. We left extremely happy and satisfied and I would definitely come again!

Absolutely love this restaurant! I haven't had a dish I did not like. Not pictured is the squid steak and the bacon wrapped dates which were delicious. The wait staff is very attentive and friendly.

The staff are all very personable and welcoming. The food is crazy good. I got the chefs table tasting menu and was quite pleasantly surprised. The first course was a Welsh rarebit (which I've never had before but is kind of like a piece of toast). The bread was perfectly toasted, crispy on the outside and soft (almost pudding like) inside. I think it was sourdough. The Mahon cheese melted on it reminded me of a delightful Croque monsieur. The dollops of mustard/lager sauce were sweet and paired nicely with the savory toast and the bitter arugula. The second course was Parisian gnocchi, which I guess means they are made from pate a choux. They were crispy outside and pillowy within, and sat on some perfect snap peas that were fresh and crisp. The peas were held together in a subtle ramp puree. I don't often get to eat fresh peas in season, and I was shocked that they were so tasty and firm. The third course was a lamb shoulder braised in Membrillo ( a quince paste), served in a ssam style with Kim chi and curry rice. This dish was the one that did it for me. The membrillo gave the lamb shoulder an incredibly deep umami flavor, while also imbuing it with a Carmel burnt sweetness. The recipe didn't use doenjang or gochujang or soy sauce, but got to a similar level of umami. Wrapped with some Kim chi, herbs, and the curry bomba rice in lettuce, it made for a rich and complex flavor bomb in each bite. I was also super pleased that it was a very generous portion. You don't always get that in a tasting menu. The final course was a very delicate bread ice cream, which was made with the membrillo and covered with almond cookie and mint oil. The ice cream was so delicate it was at times almost like marshmallow fluff, and the mint oil really contrasted nicely with the bready sweetness of the ice cream.

I opted for take on the gin and tonic, which was smooth and refreshing. First course was a delicious cheesy toast. The bread tasted like it had just been baked that same day. Next step we had the softest gnocchi, with sliced pepperoni. It was such an interesting combination and very delicious. The main course was a very tender lamb and risotto dish. The lamb was very flavorful. We finished things off with a sourdough ice cream that was garnished with a mint syrup. It was unlike anything I had ever tasted before and it was very good. Our waiter frequently checked in on us, and there are two individual restrooms in the restaurant. I had a wonderful time and I would definitely go back!

The only slight issue we experienced was when someone else tried to bring a plate of squid to our table. We let them know that we had not ordered it. They then went and talked to our server, who brought the squid back to our table. We also let them know that we had not ordered that dish. Our server did bring back our order slip and looked it over, and I believe at that point they realized that we really had not ordered that dish and just weren't rejecting it. I am not sure if it had been written wrong, communicated to the kitchen wrong, or what but we did have to state multiple times that we had not ordered it. The rest of our dishes arrived correctly. The crispy chive cakes were great, and the sticky spare ribs were AMAZING. The caramel glaze on the outside of the ribs was so good, and they were tender as well. The outside was super crispy. I would absolutely ordered these again. I would say that both of those dishes were only for 2 people. The sticky rice and jasmine rice were as to be expected, and I personally felt that the papaya salad was not as good as others I have had. The chilli noodles had an amazing broth and I would also recommend. Overall, I did enjoy our dinner but I am not sure that I would go out of my way to return. I am rounding up to 4 stars based on the sticly ribs alone, otherwise a 3.5 would be more fair. I have been hearing about Takoi for years, so maybe my epxections were too high but I was expecting a bit more.

We dined at the Grey Ghost for a special dinner last week and it was outstanding. Atmosphere is nice, decor is very cool, and the setting is intimate, but when it fills up, it is quite loud. Regarding accommodations, for our teen daughter, the chef went WELL beyond normal accommodations to modify the Steelhead Trout dish to allow her to enjoy what she called "the best fish I've ever had". He absolutely made her night. We all shared the Brussel Sprouts (w/ honey, lime, & chicken skin) and Octopus appetizers. The Brussels were heavenly and the octopus was flavorful and tender (very nicely prepared). Aside from the Steelhead entrée, my wife and son both had the Ribeye Cap w/ yaji, peanut, & kiwi. They couldn't stop raving about it. The pairing of kiwi with steak was delicious and creative! I ordered the Lobster dish and honestly, it was better than many top tier seafood restaurants I've visited. It featured tail & claw meat atop a crab cake with a citrus beurre blanc and crispy wontons. I'd go back just for this dish. For dessert, we tried the PB&J Napoleon, and found the berry sorbet to be ridiculously fresh and bursting with flavor. Portion sizes were just right. Everyone left well satiated, but not overly full. We had a reservation, and I'd highly recommend if you're thinking of going, you get one as well. It was a full house the entire time we were there, and it was only midweek.

Visited on a Tuesday at 6:30pm without reservations and only bar seating was available. The…read morerestaurant is small but there were a lot of seats at the bar. We ordered a beer, the house rock and rye mocktail (good but VERY expensive for a small soda $7), cheeseburgers (also good- the bun was great, the flavor was good, it could've used more fixings and was $21 with no sides so again, very expensive. My husband added bacon for $6), and shared a fry (again, expensive $8, but very good and a charnel side for sure) $56 for 2 burgers and 1basket of fries is STEEP. Food was good, not $56 good! Service was good! Overall a good dinner and experience but I don't feel the need to visit again!
