I will call them again…read more I had an emergency. EMPWR answered the phone, showed up about two hours later, did the job right, and quickly got it inspected by the city as required for this job. Their communication was friendly and thorough. They also contacted me when interruptions in their schedule occurred, and we problem-solved together. They came back the same evening to address an undetected bad breaker. Since the electricity was off when they did their earlier repairs, there was no way to detect that the surge had fried that breaker. Their goal was to get my power back on. I appreciate that focus on the result and not just the tasks. The billing was transparent. Not inexpensive, but clear and fair for emergency service. I got what I paid for and I'm happy.

While he was at my home, I casually mentioned that I was also having a sauna installed, but had already hired a licensed electrician for that work. He offered to give me a quote for the sauna installation, which I respectfully declined. After I reiterated that I only needed help with the light fixture, he became argumentative and told me the job "wasn't worth his time"--despite already being there as agreed. The interaction felt very unprofessional and uncomfortable. He also attempted to upsell me on other projects I had never contacted him about. Overall, he came across as pushy and more focused on upselling than on providing honest, respectful service. Editing to respond to Eugene's message to me: Hi Eugene, I read your message and I want to respond honestly. You were hired to safely install a single chandelier and correct what the previous handyman had done wrong--which you agreed to do. While I appreciated your help initially, I made it clear during your visit that I had already hired someone else for the sauna project. I politely declined when you pushed to take it on. After that, your tone shifted and you said the light fixture job wasn't worth your time, which made me very uncomfortable considering you were already at my home. I reached out the next day to see if you could finish the job, not to demand anything or be rude. I did not threaten you--I simply expressed disappointment in how everything unfolded. I stand by my review, as it reflects my genuine experience. I hope you'll understand that feedback isn't personal--it's about helping others make informed decisions, just like I tried to do when I hired you. For the record, I am fully entitled to leave a review on Yelp without being harassed. Please stop texting my personal number and leave me alone.

Zack did an excellent job installing the Tesla wall connector. He showed up on time, went through…read morehis plan, and got it installed neatly and without conduits. Everything was cleaned up and ready for me to set up. He had to cut some drywall to run the cable, but did it low behind my softener so it's not even visible. I highly recommend Grayzer for charger installs. They've been focused on them for a while, and it shows.

I had one good experience with these guys when then installed a tesla charger at my old house and…read moreat terrible experience with them with they installed a tesla charger at my new house. The first time they did it they installed a 240 volt outlet in my garage and I plugged a tesla mobile connector into that, worked well. The next time they did it at the new house, I thought they would do the same thing but apparently they stopped installing the mobile connectors. Now they only install the wall connector which is a large sci-fi looking thing that is permanently affixed to the wall. It's also more expensive than the mobile connector. None of this was made clear to me when we started the project with Grayzer. They came to my house, got about 90% done with the job then saw the equipment I had and said "sorry we don't do those anymore". They explained the situation to me but since I didn't have the equipment they wanted they couldn't finish. They did however insist on being fully paid for the job. Stupidly, I agreed to pay them and they left saying "call us when you have the wall connector". That was a mistake. Never fully pay for the work until the job is fully done! So I bought one and scheduled a time to finish at which point they said they would need to charge another trip fee to come back out. I explained that it wasn't made clear to me that I didn't have the right equipment until the job was almost complete but they didn't care. They were insistent that I give them another trip fee before they would come back. Frankly they were pretty rude about it too. Like really rude. Whoever I was emailing was belligerent and completely unprofessional. It was extremely frustrating. I tried to explain that as the professionals in this situation they should be the ones checking that all the equipment is ready to go before the job starts. At the time I didn't know the difference between a mobile connector and a wall connector. I didn't even know that tesla had multiple options for wall chargers. I had what I used the first time so I figured it would work. It's not that the trip fee was so much money but after having to drag this out over two visits, spend another $150 to upgrade to a wall connector, a trip fee on top of all that was a bit much. In my opinion, a reasonable company would just accept responsibility and waive the second trip fee. Or at least offer to split it. But not these guys. They dug their trench and they weren't coming out. It was childish and stupid and I'm embarrassed for them. And to boot, the people they sent out to finish up the job were jerks. One of them was yelling and cussing at somebody on their phone like a crazy person in my garage. Honestly, these guys are like school on a Sunday -- no class. I guess this is what happens when you get to be a popular company. Customer service and basic decency goes out the window because what do you care, you have plenty of business. Right? Yeah right.

I didn't have the same experience as others unfortunately…read more I had a dryer that wasn't heating. I called a repairman who said the dryer was only getting 120V and that I need to ask an electrician. I called Luis and he was very prompt and came out in a few hours even though it was Saturday. I have concrete floors with epoxy coating that scratch easy. I asked Luis if he could move the dryer on Ram Board I provided to prevent scratching, and he said he doesn't do that. All he had to do is slide it on the cardboard I have. Instead he slid the dryer on the floor and scratched it. He tested the outlet and showed me it's giving 240W, charged me a service fee, and said to contact the repairman again. Frustrated, I called another repairman who did a simple jiggle on the plug and saw it was causing voltage fluctuation because the receptacle was loose. He changed the receptacle and all was well. This is what I expected Luis to do - basic troubleshooting - instead of quickly saying not his problem. Instead all I got was a $100 service fee and scratched floors from him.

He answered all our questions and made us feel reassured at all times. No upselling, 100% honesty (he even caught something our builder missed and he was honest enough to let us use the warranty instead of selling his services for it...). We couldn't be happier about the result and the whole process. Luis an his assistant installed 3 pendant lights over our kitchen island and one chandelier over the dining table. No pre-existing wiring prior this process.

The team arrived right on time. James and Kyle from Texas Electrical Services came out to our house in Cedar Park to do some electrical work. They replaced two faulty breakers and replaced some broken wall outlets. They fixed two light fixtures that were not working properly. They were very pleasant and respectful. Both communicated very well and were patient with our questions. They worked very fast but with quality. Everything was done well, exceeding my expectations. Their pricing was very clear and fair. I highly recommend Texas Electrical Services of Austin. They are now my electricians for life.

For this they used a flex conduit and to hold the flex conduit outdoor-rated fasteners need to be used. This was clearly not the case, as there is corrosion and rust clearly visible on the fasteners that were used to hold the conduit (see pictures). I'm sure of this because we also had conduit installed by another electrical contractor for another purpose on a similar exterior wall on the other side of the house that has zero corrosion on it. I reached out to them several times over the span of 4 weeks regarding this, and didn't hear back once. I also specifically remember that the person sent out to do the work was very rude and difficult to work with. This was particularly relevant for hanging a chandelier, since it ended up crooked and he didn't ask for feedback until after he had already taken down his scaffolding, and wasn't willing to put it back up. So to this day we still have a misaligned chandelier. Cost isn't all that matters. For what this level of quality you're better off either learning to DIY, or paying more to hire a better company if you want everything done right and good customer service.
