Just one example: last year I needed lenses replaced fast on a backup pair of glasses before a trip. Assuming that Karen and Aimee would be too busy, I called a few well-known, branded stores and was practically laughed off the line. Karen and Aimee, on the other hand, didn't miss a beat. Without over-promising, they simply got the job done. I picked up my glasses two days before my trip and left town with an easy mind. On top of all this, they're both super-nice and interesting to talk with. I look forward to seeing them each time I go into the shop. To sum up: when it comes to glasses, I can't imagine going anywhere else.

He pointed towards the glasses and he told me that I could ask questions later. When the next person walked into the store John's tone completely changed and he became very helpful towards her. After I gathered the glasses I sat down to use the mirror and Jeni asked me if I wanted help. Then she proceeded to be extremely friendly and helpful. But the obvious implicit biases of John prevents me from spending my money here. The two stars are for Jeni.

Disappointed, most likely will not be using them again. Too expensive and not enough customer service.

Very professional before and after the appointment. A nurse or assistant does a lot of the exam first and then you wait to see the doctor. She was friendly and helpful throughout each of the stations I went through. No dilation here as they use a modern advanced retina scanning device now but VSP insurance doesn't cover it so you have to pay $39 out of pocket. I had Dr. Liu. Great "bedside manners". Very chill and easy to talk to. For some reason, he reminded me of Andy from Modern Family...in a good way. The only unique part of the visit with the doctor is he had another assistant via video call taking notes and observing. Never seen that before. Thought it was a virtual AI agent at first, but it was a real person apparently :) I guess the patient benefit is the doctor can focus more attention on you and less administrivia. They are all digital, so they will email you your invoice and your prescription immediately afterwards. I wasn't quite sure between 2 prescriptions for my contacts and they were kind enough to send me home with free samples to test for a few days and then just email the one I preferred later. No need to come back or any extra costs! They are very responsive to emails too! I think I have found my new long-term optometrist and have started to refer friends to them.

It weighs only 2.5 grams, and is thus officially the world's lightest frames. C2020 sent it to the lab specifically authorized by the frame manufacturer itself, to have prescription lenses installed. C2020 also clearly instructed the lab to make no modification to the temples. Yet, (the lab technician must have been new to the job) the lab technician literally melted the temples into pretzel-like twisted twigs, something you would wear only for Halloween. When the lab tried to evade its responsibility, and attempted to argue its way out of it, Dr. Poon purchased new replacement temples to ensure that I would not get stuck with melted-twisted temples. Dr. Poon then personally adjusted the new temples to fit my head. Dr. Poon achieved a beautiful adjustment, because he was both extremely skillful and very patient. In short, you won't find a more skillful, ethical and professional optometrist than Dr. Poon. I have always recommended C2020 to everyone, and will always do so.

I was charged for expensive thin (high-index) lenses, but the glasses I was given appeared to have cheap, thick plastic lenses and were so poorly made they were visually disorienting and unwearable. I was billed for premium High-Index lenses, but the receipt shows charges for both CR-39 (standard plastic) and High-Index materials on the same pair of glasses, which is not possible. Because of this inconsistent billing, it is impossible to determine what lens material was actually provided. From trying them on in the store and I know have true 1.74 Index The glasses from Site for Sore Eyes not behaving like 1.74. When I tried to address the problem, the managers behavior became unprofessional and abusive, including yelling at me in the store. At one point, they even attempted to keep the glasses out of my reach, preventing me from documenting the issues. I left the store in tears. The billing did not clearly match the product delivered. I rejected the glasses and sought care elsewhere. Another store was able to make my glasses correctly within days, with clear vision and no distortion. Do not trust this business with your vision or your money. The store agreed in writing to issue a refund, but more than 20 business days later, no refund has been processed. Reporting to appropriate regulatory and consumer-protection agencies. If zero stars were possible, I would select it.

However, the bad outweighs the good because it is a combo of incompetence and dangerous. I will give one recent example: At the end of my 4-hour (!) routine exam, conducted by students, optometrist Dr Yoshiyama said I had a hemorrhage in one eye. I said I was told the same thing 4 years before and it turned out to be false. She was emphatic: No, no, no, this totally different; this is near the optic nerve; you could lose your vision. So I went to an ophthalmologist outside Morgan, who did a thorough (but under 1 hr) exam and confirmed Yoshiyama's diagnosis was baseless. He even showed me images. Since we haven't been able to figure out how Yoshiyama came to her conclusion, I'll leave you to decide for yourself if you want to risk being a patient at Morgan.

Dr. Dossa is wonderful, and treated my acute eye symptoms with the urgency that was needed. She was kind, knowledgeable and extremely helpful by referring me to an opthamologist for a possible surgical remedy. Her staff is lovely as well. Very friendly and personable, which I really appreciated. It's so hard to find a genuinely nice and talented doctor right now, so I consider myself lucky I found her on Yelp!
