I had a eye exam today at the Kaiser facility at 3772 Howe Street in Oakland. The procedure went fine, no problem. Staff were professional and patient.
But I wanted to explain the Covid-19 procedures Kaiser is using here, so you know what to expect at 3772 Howe St.
First, there's a screening station at the front door. You need a mask, sanitinize your hands, take your temp, and then they ask you when is your appointment. If your appt is more than 15 mins away, then you must wait outside. If it's 15 mins or less, then you proceed to the check-in station in the lobby.
Second, at the check-in station, they ask for your appt time and your last name. If you're in the system, and the info checks out ok, then you can go upstairs.
You go up to the lobby, they ask when is your appt, and you sit in the waiting room (with social distancing). They see people quickly, and there's not alot of waiting . I think I was in and out in about 15 mins.
3772 Howe St is located nextdoor to the parking complex, and walking distance from the Oakland Medical Center (3600 Broadway) and the Fabiola Bldg. read more
