    Wangs and Corn Bread
    Raia S.

Before trying Wangs, my favorite wings in Brooklyn were exclusively from Chuko, but these were truly such a delightful experience. We got the 9 piece with their not hot sauce and garlic ginger aioli on the side. The extra sauce was delicious but the wings didn't need it! So crispy, perfectly flavored and not too sweet, good to the last drop. Each one was huge!! You only need 3-4 for a full meal in my opinion. The cornbread was fluffy, the mac was solid too but the wings are really the standout. Pretty reasonably priced too for all the food you're getting. Definitely give it a try!

Decent chicken wings, a little heavy on the sauce. They were a second stop on a food crawl, recommended by someone on the first stop of the food crawl.

Fried Chicken Sandwich and Half Fried Chicken

This place never disappoints and I'm finally giving it a review. I have frequented this place for years and the chicken remains as juicy as the first time I had it. It's a small menu that excels in what they're good at, the fried chicken. The chicken sandwich is a take on Vietnamese bao, it was 10/10 and the fried half chicken was the icing on the cake 10/10. Friendly counter staff and although no indoor seating you can post up out front and people watch 4th Ave traffic with their boardwalk tables and seating. Love this place. Try all the sauces, there's a lot of options.

I love an Asian and soul food combo, especially on some delicious wangs. It was a hot day, so we made a Grubhub delivery order. Even if you came in person, it's more of a takeout spot with only a single small table to eat at. The order arrived quickly in less than half an hour from ordering. Everything was still hot and crispy as I could smell the delicious aroma from the boxes. We ordered 6pcs of Wangs ($22) and Half Fried Chicken ($18). Do note that they usually recommend 3 wangs per person, which might not seem like a lot, but it is because you get the full wing from the tip to the drumette. I probably could've stopped at 3 wangs, but the half chicken definitely made me overstuffed. The wangs are a must here! It's a spicy and sweet Korean-style fried chicken wing covered in garlic, green onions, spicies, and a delicious Wang's Hot Sauce. I also enjoyed the fried chicken, which was your standard American style fried chicken with a sauce on the side. The chicken came with huge pieces that was tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. I paired this with the Ginger and Garlic Aioli, which had a sweetness to it. I almost question if I got the wrong sauce, but it was still good. Overall, delicious and unique wangs. It can get a bit messy while eating, but absolutely worth it.

The wings were excellent! It was sweet and spicy. The chili flakes that were on these fried chicken wings is so enticing for a person who loves spicy like me! Ordering and getting the food was quick. We ate it immediately on the chairs and tables in front of the window.

I totally forgot to take photos! I was starvinnggg when I ordered this! French fries were pretty good. Love the seasoning that's on them. They weren't hot tho which was kind of annoying . Imma break down these wings tho! Soo when I order wings for the first time somewhere if there is the option to have the sauce on the side, I order it that way because I wanna taste how well the wings are seasoned by itself . With that being said, the wings were perfectly crispy . Nice crunch and cooked well on the inside. However they were bland. That sauce tho! That sauce is hittin'! Maybe they under season on purpose because of how flavorful the sauce is but idk I like to taste layers of flavor when I bite into it a piece of chicken. I would def order them again tho! I got the spicy sauce which truthfully not really spicy so if you like mild buffalo sauce then you can handle the spice level here Cornbread was dry by itself I had to put the scallion butter on it and then microwave it so it melted into the bread for it be nice moist and yummy. And id also pass on the Mac n cheese. Overall tho, I would order from here again. Strictly spicy wings and fries!

I got the salad with fired chicken popcorn I loved it it was so filling good amount of sauce! Stuff is super friendly which I love. Took her time to explain. Very chill vibe and they have outdoor seating.

We jokingly call wings WANGS in our house , so when this showed this place showed up on my Google search I know I had to go. It's a window front ,so order ahead or on spot and take out . There 2 tables on the side walk if your intentions are for sitting. Since I get really feral when it comes to wings I decided to take out. After driving about 2 blocks I couldn't resist the tantalizing scents coming from our carry out bag so we pulled over and devoured meals in the car . The Wangs...I mean wings, were spot on delicious . - Crispy, crunchy skin, juicy meat and the Wang Ho Sauce is finger licking good. Sweet ,spicy ,sticky and I didn't spare the remnants at the bottom of the box either. They serve the entire wing -drum,flat and tip. The wings are big, after 2 I was getting pretty full. The Mac and Cheese was also very good. There's panko crumb topping those crunchy bits make a great texture contrast. Shoestring fries are my least favorite cut of potatoes but the Japanese seasonings on these are perfect ( I think it would be more yummy on a regular French cut though) The sesame aioli - please sell this by the gallon - gosh it was goooood! The housemade ketchup was impressive as well. Service - Super Friendly, the lady at the window was pleasant and welcoming. I'm going back to try other items like the Vietnamese sandwiches and collard greens. Perhaps even the Buffalo Wings although I'm already hooked on the Wangs Ho Sauce. This is an Asian Soul Food fusion spot. The subway is on the corner R train at Union Street stop. There's also a huge City Bike dock right across the street from Wang's so if you love peddling then no worries.

Alright so I stumbled upon Wangs by complete accident but the scent of their kitchen lured it's way to my nose and instantly get my attention. I felt like one of those cartoons that just got lured somewhere from the scent of something delicious. I crossed my fingers in the hopes that it would taste as good as it smelled and it did NOT disappoint! Wangs serves up some delicious wings, amazing cornbread, and great potato salad! I wish I lived closer so I could get it more frequently! But I'll be back!

I've ordered delivery from Wangs for a number of years now and their food is always solid. I usually get 3 Chicken Wings, with a side of the cucumbers and a couple Foco mango juices. If you're wondering if 3 wings is enough to fill you up, it IS! I've also had the Mac and cheese (delicious) and the side salad. The chicken is consistently really good. The hotter sauce is definitely hotter, so I only order that occasionally and usually do Mild. The chicken is juicy, crispy and always arrives hot. This is also one of the few places that sells the Foco mango juice which, if you know, you know!

Collard greens and scoop of Mac

Service was fast and order correct: ambiance is small kitchen shop with pick up window- yes there are 2 picnic tables on sidewalk in front of business. We tried a 1/2 fried chicken-5 pieces. Neutral flavor which would allow sauce to shine: we got the hot honey sauce which needed more kick. Tried sides of Mac, fries and collard greens -Too much garlic for my taste. Fries ok , Mac cheese ok. Also did the canned mango -ok, canned coconut juice was a little funky with chunks of coconut floating in can. Overall not flavors that I would repeat- next time I would try something else on menu.

Chicken dumpling (3/5) Red version: It was unique to find kernels of corn in the dumpling! I enjoyed the vinegar/soy sauce and chili oil. Next time, I would have liked to try the brown. Overall, there wasn't anything special about the steamed dumplings. Iron Men (3/5): I was disappointed since reviewers said that the broth would be very rich but it did not have much flavor to me even after using their house chili sauce (+$2). I definitely tasted the Iberian pork undertones but overall, I thought it was watery and didn't have much flavor without the chili. The poached egg was perfect. The rosemary oil was very subtle (cool presentation as it was provided in a dropper!) The noodles were perfect--chewy and bouncy. I thought the 2 slices of pork were thin but tender, also more lean and not fatty (not as ideal so did not melt in your mouth). Expensive for a bowl with little meat ($23). I did not use the miso paste as I did not love the aftertaste, which admittedly could be why the broth lacked flavor to me! Nagoya Miso Katsu-Don (N/A): I tried a little of the dish. I thought the pork was very crunchy and had a great taste. Boyfriend said the dish was nothing special.

From savory bites and traditional Thai dishes to tea service and desserts, there was plenty to explore throughout the visit. The afternoon tea service in particular offered a unique way to experience the menu beyond a traditional meal. My Taysty Tayke: Get Down & Dirty, Expeditiously: Fish in the Boat One of the most memorable dishes from the visit. Fresh salmon paired with bright flavors and a subtle kick of spice. It almost gave salmon salad vibes while still feeling distinctly Thai. Egg Tart Soft, creamy, and incredibly smooth. The texture was outstanding and easily one of the strongest items from the afternoon tea selection. Crying Tiger Skewer Tender, juicy, flavorful, and everything you'd want from grilled beef. Simple execution done extremely well. Hot Chai Tea Excellent on its own, but the addition of cinnamon elevated it even further by adding warmth and complexity to every sip. Shrimp Bite Loved the texture here. Fresh shrimp with a bright lime flavor and none of the chewiness that can sometimes hold shrimp dishes back. Duck Salad Fresh, juicy, and tender with great balance throughout. Macaron with Grape The grape added a fruity sweetness that complemented the macaron nicely without overpowering it. Pork Pastry Flaky, savory, and satisfying. Dumpling Solid texture and flavor throughout. Curry Puff Enjoyable curry flavor but could have used a little more punch. Thai Wings Well executed with good flavor throughout. Rice Ball Sweet, sticky, and compact. A nice contrast to some of the savory items. Chicken & Shrimp Fried Dumplings Enjoyable but didn't stand out as much as some of the stronger offerings. The Experience: The afternoon tea service was a pleasant surprise and offered a creative way to sample multiple flavors in one sitting. Pairing that with the dinner menu gave a well-rounded look at what Cafe Chili has to offer. Best For: Afternoon tea, casual lunches, catching up with friends, introducing someone to Thai cuisine, or exploring a variety of flavors in one visit. In Conclusion: Cafe Chili shines when it leans into dishes that balance freshness, texture, and bold flavor. The Fish in the Boat, Egg Tart, Crying Tiger Skewer, and Duck Salad were the standouts for me, while the afternoon tea experience adds a unique element you don't often find at Thai restaurants. If you're looking for variety and a mix of savory and sweet offerings, Cafe Chili is worth a visit. Stamped by Elajas

It was creamy and well-balanced. Bread with Sea Urchin Butter: The butter was unique and tasted amazing. I could probably eat a whole stick of it. Foie Gras Katsu with Passion Fruit Candy: The foie gras itself was great, but the passion fruit candy felt awkward and out of place. NZ Hiramasa with Wood Ear Mushrooms: The wood ear mushrooms overpowered the fish, which was unfortunate because the hiramasa itself was quite good. I loved the lemongrass sauce. The lemongrass flavor was very subtle. Dry-Aged Moulard Duck with Black Rice and Makrut Leaf Curry: This was the standout dish of the night. The duck was deeply flavorful, and the curry paired beautifully with it. Tiger Prawn Phở: Very mushroom-forward in flavor. It was decent, but not particularly memorable.
