First time here and it was packed before the game. We had reservations and were seated after they cleared the table. You can either order online via QR code or through waitress which we did. She was great and fast; I guess when you're used to getting people in and out fast, it becomes routine. Ordered a few things to share and food came out pretty quickly. The wings, pork belly, and fries were great; would definitely order these again. Will try this place again when down for another game soon. read more

Easy sports bar! Big TVs, lots of seating, fast service, lots of food & drinks to choose from. I went after a women's soccer game and it was busy for a rainy night. I imagine it's packed for a National's Game so probably best to get a spot early if you plan to watch the game or grab a drink before. They have booths, bar and high top seating. I've been to Walters once or twice for the brunch - which you can get 90 minutes of bottomless mimosas(or other drink options) for $20 which is the best deal in the city! But this last time... I'M SOLD. YOU NEED TO MAKE THIS A STAPLE IN YOUR BRUNCH DECISION! First, ILIA IS THE BEST WAITER ON EARTH! He was patient, knowledgeable, and so kind - oh and so attentive. I love this place!! My go to for watching sporting events or brunch! I absolutely recommend their Walter wings! They're finger-licking good and very delicious! I have been going to Walter's since they opened and they have been amazing in having to adjust to COVID-19 this last year. I am a sports fan, so it is easy for me to say this is one of my favorite spots in the Navy Yard/Nats ballpark area. The atmosphere is great on NFL game days, especially when they have audio on from the main feed. At the bar and throughout the restaurant they have plenty of screens and one huge screen for the big game of the day. They also introduced TVs outdoors to adapt to outdoor COVID dining. The staff has always been so kind at the bar area to flip on a game from one of the sports packages if we come in for a specific out of market MLB or NHL game. They have a variety of items to order from on the menu and I have found that the food has improved in taste and quality since they first opened. If you are visiting for a beer or two, you will find plenty to choose from and they rotate the selection, so the varied choices throughout the season is great. One last aspect that will be a huge plus soon is that BetMGM will be opening across the street by the Nats Park Home Field Gate and Walter's will be within the zone where sports bets can be placed, so you can enjoy the game and great food along with placing a wager, if so inclined. read more

Finally, a server came over with water and apologized. She took our drinks and food order. The drinks came out and were wonderful! He got the hard cider and I got the house bubbly-so good! We waited quite awhile for the food to come out. The server came over and said she'd go check what was taking so long. Turns out, there was a backup in the kitchen. It was a lovely evening and we had those amazing drinks, so we just chilled. I was hungry, though! I got the grilled chicken Cobb salad. It was the best Cobb I've ever had! It comes with a vinaigrette, not blue cheese dressing, which was perfect, and a ton of stuff-Cherry tomatoes, a heap of blue cheese, croutons, pickled onions, and a huge chicken cutlet. It was large but I ate every drop! My fiancé got a cheeseburger with fries. The fries were crisp on the outside and tender inside and seasoned perfectly. The burger was huge and came with lettuce and tomato. He loved it. This is definitely my go-to near Nats Park now. The food and drinks are excellent and the prices are reasonable. The server didn't accommodate one person in our group who was walking around with crutches and had us walk all the way around the bar to be seated. Bartender made nice martinis but my cousin had bad hiccups and a dude from behind the bar(learned later maybe was manager) came around the bar staring at her and had a meeting with the bartender that I witnessed and then bartender refused to serve her a beer. a fun bar that is VERY crowded during a weeknight, especially if there's a game. sometimes too crowded so go early to grab a place to sit. it's for sure a sports bars so hugeeee tvs and fun to watch a game at but hit a good place for dancing or anything like that. the crowd seemed nice, lot of dudes watching sports. there is also self service beer taps which is really cool and nice since the place gets really packed and it can be hard to get a drink from the bartenders. i would recommend as a spot for watching sports games or drinks after work! read more

This place is LOUD but what do you expect, it's a sports bar. It can also get pretty packed, but again it is a sports bar. I didn't care for most of the food and we tried several dishes. We tried the loaded tots which were fine. The spinach dip was under seasoned and bland-I sent it back after one bite. Their ranch dressing is really good. Someone in our group had the lamb pasta and sent their item back as well. Someone else had a Cobb salad and as we know the dressing makes the salad. Therefore, how can you go wrong with a salad when the ranch is so delicious. Giving three stars because of the many food issues but the atmosphere is cool when going for the sports bar vibe. This was a great bar. I went here on a Saturday afternoon around 1:30pm (during Nats game). We were seated outside right away (we had reservations). Hostesses/Servers were very nice. We started off with some Orange Crushes. Delicious. We ordered the Buffalo Wings and Burgers.. These were some of the best wings I have ever had, hands down. The burgers were delicious too along with the thick cut French fries. Our waiter was so nice and attentive. Multiple people came by and checked on us which always makes me feel well taken care of. The patio was really nice, spacious, and it sits perfectly on the corner of the street. They have added picnic tables on the street as well which makes for plenty of outdoor seating for the summer months. If you do opt for inside, it is very spacious with great airflow.
