Dash has gone downhill recently,…read moreespecially after they either let go of the attendant (or she left because she wasn't paid enough or something?), as the attendant was the best part of Bubbles. Anyhow, I'm here to write a review of Sunshine, not Dash! Haha Anyway, Sunshine is definitely cleaner. The machines are newer. One downside is that it's really really hot. Also, it's a bit more expensive than other places in Chico but (a) not much more and (b) it's totally worth it because they spent a ton of money on all new machines. The other downside is that there's no sink!! No running water. That's kind of a huge one. I'd say it's a great place, but I like coming in the evenings and there's an attendant there that STANDS OVER YOU, almost an hour before closing, starts washing the floors around your feet, closing off sections that can be used to fold, and instead we have to all smoosh together in one section, it's a little nuts. Entire time she keeps telling everybody what time they close and "it would be nice if the people can possibly leave earlier" because her back hurts. She even suggested to me that I could "fold my clothes at home" if I wanted to! I was speechless. The final complaint was that it was 106° out that day, and into the evening (9:00) it was still hot out but much cooler outside than I was in Sunshine, because of the dryers. So I like to open the doors when it's cooler, so that the cool air would come inside, but she always closes it, telling "that's my job, I have to keep the door closed." I understand that she's following the rules but sometimes common sense can override some of these things and she can definitely cool the place down opening the door for an hour, especially since she is there to watch over everything/everyone. Overall, I'd say sunshine is a 4 and a half, but I'm so seriously bothered by the attendant (can you tell? ) as well as the fact that there's no sink, so I'm going to rate it a 3, because a sink is pretty essential and the attendant can often make or break a laundromat. So my advice? Don't go the last 2 hours before closing time! Other than that, it's far from downtown, so no worries about the homeless element. I'd still watch your stuff, but it feels safer and it's cleaner.

I used two dryer sheets, on a normal load of dark clothes, along with 30 minutes in the dryer, yet they were still damp. My heavy linens went in for the same amount of time and finished, very dry before. So broken dryers? This place says is has free wifi, yet it doesn't work. I have come here four times and…read moreeach time nearly half of the machines are out of order, the entire place is filthy, most of the washers smell like something died in them and the change machine won't take new $10 or $20 bills. The "free wifi" advertised on the door does not work, you can connect but there appears to be no Internet to be found. On top of all of these things, the rates are higher than most of the other Laundromats here.
