Figuring she was busy, I started scheduling the first appointment of the day. Nope. She was still at least 30 minutes late. This was to every single appointment in 30 years. Not once on time. And late by at least 30 minutes. But the absolute worst, almost unforgivable was she completely changed my eye prescription. After an exam, she stated and wrote that my left eye somehow went to having no vision problems. I have astigmatism in that eye. There is no way that could happen. I'm 56 years old. They filled my contacts with that prescription and when I put them in, I got really sick due to having basically nothing in my left eye. I still wanted to give dr yoon benefit of the doubt, I mean she is the doctor, so I tried to walk to my car to drive. Well, I was so dizzy I fell down on the cement. At that point, I knew I couldn't drive and I looked at my contact boxes and realized she had made a mistake. I walked to Banville wearing my old glasses, and they argued with me. They told me I was wrong. They literally acted like I was crazy. They finally decided to give me my contacts in my old script and expected me to pay for them. Then I had glasses made, thinking they would use my old prescription. Nope. Again. The left eye was basically just plain glass. I decided to go to another optometrist for a new eye exam. As I suspected, Dr Yoon somehow completely messed up my exam and Banville was pushing a fake, very incorrect eye prescription. I went to get my new glasses fixed from Banville because I figured they should replace the lens for free. They replaced it, but reluctantly. This was the craziest experience I've ever had. After 30 years of waiting for Dr Yoon to show up for every appointment, now I'm literally arguing over an incorrect prescription- not even a slight error- an error that could have killed me or another person if I had driven. They never even apologized. Instead they treated me like I was crazy. One good thing- I found a new optometrist that has brand new, state of the art equipment that actually works and gives customers the correct prescription. And he was on time!!

I spent over $700 out-of-pocket on a pair of glasses, and my insurance paid for the rest. Within a month a lens scratched and Advanced repalced it. Less than a year after my purchase what looked like a grain of sand became embedded in a lens. Also I noticed the red paint was starting to chip from the metal frame. I came in and immediately the person at the counter said something like sorry, we no longer carry that brand. Not understanding why that should be my problem, I asked to speak to the manager. He was pretty rude & said there was nothing that could be done about the paint and then acted like he would do me a big favor - rather than standing by his product - by replacing the lens, while trying to make me feel like this was my fault. He expalained that he had the same brand glasses and multiple children who were regularly grabbing them off his face, yet he never had a problem with these glasses. That's a great story, but I'll never return here!

You literally lied to me so what happened was I got a prescription and they sold me some frames so first you tell me the frames are $1200 I'm on disability I'm disabled. I can't afford that. Tell him he told me oh yeah you have to pay to get it fixed, but you told me the manager you told me that it was covered yeah I know I said that, but you have to pay is this even legal then he says I'll fix it one time for free then now it's all no void no what happened to my 12 month warranty on top of that let me tell you on top of that he says and you can't even get the frames that you paid for you have to pick out a different set of frames. It will be 10 weeks this Monday since I had my eye exam and was fitted for my glasses . At the 4 week mark I called left a message and received no reply . I then called 6 more times . Sometimes they said they were closed and would get back to me (they didn't) sometimes these were times that were posted as open online. Other times it said they were with a patient and would get back to me they didn't There hours seem to be whatever they feel like . This week they were closed Monday open Tueday 2 to 6 closed Wed and Thursday Friday 2 to 6 and today Saturday they opened at 3:30 and now it's 4:46 and online says closing soon open Tuesday at 2 pm . Finally I've had to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission , the consumer division of the Mass Attorney General's office , and the customer service of my insurance company . I'm not exaggerating when I say this is my worst experience with a business

We had to wait for 45 MINUTES for them to place his order. Then we were told it would take 10 days for the order to be completed. NO one had called to let me know if they were in so I called back 10 days later and the voicemail message said they were CLOSED FOR THE NEXT 2 WEEKS. Why couldn't they have told me that when I placed my order! WE ARE NEVER GOING BACK

I saw Dr. Ung who, on our second visit, walked in and asked me about how I'm managing my diabetes. I don't have diabetes. She's just like "oh ok". That's a pretty big detail to mess up and not be overly concerned about how it happened. Really made me wonder what else in my chart might be wrong. 2) They're very "that's your problem" about insurance. I have a VERY popular/common plan and they scheduled my routine exams such that the second one didn't get covered because it was too soon. $400. and their response was "well you're responsible for your plan and coverage details blah blah blah". like sure I know I'm LEGALLY responsible, but in REALITY that's negligence on their part. they either don't know the details on one of the most common plans they work with all day everyday, or they just don't care. Either way - not cool. Like my dentist is so careful and deliberate about aligning stuff with my specific insurance plan so I don't have to pay out of pocket.
