I showed him the glasses, he said "give me five minutes." I sat in their comfortable waiting area. Within a minute or so, he stood up and said "here you go" with a big smile on his face. Then, he cleaned the glasses and handed them back to me. I said "Wow, that was fast." Then he showed me his special technique, which he had learned during his career. My sister is thrilled, as she was about to throw them away. Worth noting -- there was no charge for this amazing experience. :)

When I asked to check if prescription was right or to have any adjustments to fit, she said they did not do that with online order. Mind you, I spent hundreds on these glasses and have bought glasses with LensCrafters before. I asked what if prescription is off, they said I could return them online. Only when I continued to ask about policy of not giving any service to online orders did another staff person say they could check. Terrible customer service. When people are trying to limit their time indoors, ordering online makes sense. Saved time for the staff too. So why not take care of the fitting process? I advise going to a shop that actual cares about building long-term customers.

I had gotten a pair of glasses at that store about 1.5 years ago. After wearing the glasses for a few hours my ear would be irritated, so I kept on wearing my older glasses. I went in twice over this time to get the new pair adjusted. The rep would bend the ear piece a little, hand them back, have me try it on, and ask 'How does it feel?'. After only 1-2 minutes it felt fine but by the time I got home the glasses were irritating my ear cartilage again. I tried again two weeks ago. Mr. Rojas actually got up, walked behind me and looked to see how the glasses fit! After three iterations he pronounced it a good fit. I have worn the glasses continuously since then without any discomfort. I wouldn't normally post to Yelp but the VisionWorks site does not have any easy means for feedback. There is a cognitively impaired chatbot named 'Amelia'. Store management probably gets Yelp feeds, hopefully they share the good comments with the employees.

I had a bad experience here last year. First, I agree that Dr. Idrizovic gave me a sales pictch. I…read moreorginally saw another Dr, who was fine, but I was told I had to return to see Dr. I because she was a dry eye specialist. Not only was I kept waiting over an hour for this appointment, but my insurance didn't cover it so I had to pay for it. Dr. I recommended that I have a series of laser treatments at $250 each. AND she told me a horror story about how I could go blind if I didn't do it. Then, when my glasses came in the alignment or something was way off. I had it checked and redone redone twice. The lenses alone cost $650 because they were progressives with prism. (They were never right but I gave up.) When I told them I couldn't see well enough to drive wearing the glasses, they didn't believe me and said I just had to get used to progressives even though I explained that I had had progressives before. So, I had to return three times and wait a long time even though I had appointments. At the time, I wrote a negative review. The owner contacted me and asked me to take it down and he'd give me a free pair of prescription sunglasses lens. (I provided the frames.) I'm submitting this again because it's a year later and I went to another eye doctor. Now, after a good experience at Boston Vision, I know I was right to complain. Sure, prescriptions change, but I found out the contacts didn't even correct my astigmatism, which is the main reason I wear them, and the glasses were way off. Not only that, but no one tried to sell me any lasers or drops or eye masks. When it came to tests, they carefully explained my choices because some were included under my insurance and others weren't.

Then came the outright fraud. He tried to upsell me on bogus services, including claiming he could check the "thickness" of my cornea using a standard microscope--something that is not remotely how corneal thickness is measured. Either he thinks his patients are too ignorant to know better, or he just doesn't care. To top it all off, it turns out this guy has been setting up new Yelp pages to bury the flood of terrible reviews he's rightfully earned. That kind of shady, deceptive practice should tell you everything you need to know. Avoid this place at all costs.
