I was completing this course, including the open water portion, all in December; I was eager to get certified in a New England winter, and Dave matched that energy. From the moment you meet Dave, his enthusiasm for SCUBA is palpable. Throughout long class days, Dave is cracking jokes, telling anecdotes and getting you excited about the skill you're about to have, all while answering a barrage of questions. In the water, he is professional, vigilant, and in his element. He exudes an air of calm and control, allowing you to confidently perform skills that would otherwise be terrifying or disorienting- like removing your goggles or respirator in 45 degree water. Beyond that, the staff is equally as knowledgeable and the community they foster is incredibly warm and welcoming. Even on my open water dives where I thought it was just going to be myself and Dave, I ended up meeting more people who tagged along just because they wanted to dive. Today, for example, it felt like millennials clearing out their childhood collectibles. We also happened to go while a lot of dealers were stocking their booths, so a few aisles were blocked off or difficult to navigate. We will definitely continue to visit this shop, but hope to see more variety in the offerings and more of that antique store feel.

Wednesday I got a text that it would be delivered between 1 and 5. Got texts through out the day giving me status and how many deliveries were ahead of mine. The delivery time kept getting later and later. Then got a text saying I was 2 stops away. Now first they are supposed to call the day before and 30 min before delivery. I never got any calls at all. So in the mean time i cleared all the furniture unloaded all the food from my refrigerator put it the most important stuff in the few coolers i have with ice a ran to the store for. The text then said i was next and the online tracking then said arrived. But no one was there no truck nothing (now I have been waiting by my door for 90 min. Just in case they got there early. Still no truck then on line it says sorry we missed you!!!!! Omg what the heck is going on!! I called the support line, Briana Was very helpful. She contacted the delivery company If a client is not at home they take a picture of the address to prove they were there. Turns out the picture was of the sky which of course is utterly unacceptable! Guess the deliver guys didn't want to deliver the refrigerator and completely lied about even trying to deliver it!!!??? Complete scum bags. So my 2000.00 refrigerator is now being delivered Monday morning. So now a lost a whole day of vacation. Lost half my food to spoilage probably 150 dollars worth. I had other personal appointments that afternoon I had to cancel with minor financial implications. So now I have no refrigerator for the 4 th of July holiday and am out of pocket another 400 to 500 dollars. Not sure if I will go to small claims court yet but this is beyond unacceptable. Let's hope my refrigerator makes it here Monday. I will never shop at Home Depot again for the rest of my life! Absolute jerks!

However, one of their services listed they offer are appraisals, which I would not use them for. I walked in with some odd ends from my jewelry box that I didn't want to just throw away, but I also knew weren't worth much. I figured combined, I could melt the pieces down and make something small and new. Unfortunately, it was a bit of an embarrassing and insulting 5 minutes, which is probably even more time than he actually spent with us. He moved through them so quickly he noted two pieces were silver and nothing more, I had them reappraised knowing they were both white gold and did get confirmation that they were in fact white gold, not silver. While I'm not disappointed by the response that the pieces weren't worth much, something I already knew, I again was hoping I could scrap them and reuse the white gold (he called silver), diamond and blue topaz stones potentially, even if they were worth less than $100, thats mine to decide how to use. But because it wouldn't equate to enough to make something he thought was worth his time, he said hold on to them you can't reuse them. Had he given me more time than he did, I would have added that I was going to pay to have something remade, and given him more business, like I had in the past. I just wanted to use the old stone and metal some how if I could toward a new piece, not expecting that scrap metal to cover the cost by any means. However, when I was treated in a way that felt embarrassing, I didn't want to give them my business anymore. You can be honest and not be insulting, you also could attempt to do an appraisal with dignity and respect toward the customer.
